- This is why we prepare for hard times. When disaster strikes, having your preparations in order beforehand makes the recovery smoother. Having recently experienced a catastrophic disaster, we thought we would bring you along and show you how we are going to recover from this event.

Living in Kansas, I feel your plight. I have been in a similar situation before. Fortunately, y’all ARE prepared. It is still early enough in the season, you can still hopefully salvage out a pretty good garden.
Bud. That's no good. We were cleaning up storm damage today. All three of my pecans trees made and all of my walnuts made it. The bigger picture you and your family are safe
Sorry for your loss. Thankful for the heads up on having backups! What a great visual!!
Thank you for sharing by example, and the lesson to keep reserves. May the good Lord bless and keep you and yours mighty. ❤
Thank you!
Makes me 😢 about what happened to your garden and orchard!
What a heartbreaking loss. I'm so sorry this happened to you. You seem to be taking it way better than I probably would be at this point.
I just watched an orchard video you did a year ago, then came to your channel. I am saddened by your loss, inspired by your persistence and hopeful for your eventual success.
I’m only still getting started for this year, because of moving while still recovering from illness. I THOUGHT I had potatoes, but just discovered them GONE, but for a few tiny ones. My greenhouse is a MESS, and still not in good use. I see pretty little cabbage moths dancing around my brassicas.😆
Startingover, (AGAIN) at 62 is a challenge, but can’t stop this survivor! 😁
I hope and pray all is well! We don't give up, but use it as an opportunity to make things better than they were before. For the cabbage moths, row covers and BT have been our best defense
That’s terrible buddy. I can feel your pain. Thankfully there’s still time for a lot of things.
Sorry for your loss. One thing g though, your family was safe. Plants can be replaced. You'll be fine.
Happy to see someone from southern Illinois…subscribed to help a neighbor out
Thank you very much. We really appreciate it.
So sorry to hear about the hail storm. We had bad storms too, but luckily no hail. That sucks. Thanks goodness you were prepared. We don't have a huge garden like yours, but we have plenty. If you need anything or help with anything let me know. I can be there in an hour and a half. God bless you guys
Thank you very much! This is why this community is so great, people willing to help others. We will be fine, as we have been planting non stop since the storm. But we will definitely pay it forward!
Man that rough, unfortunately I think it’s gonna be more common and a good lesson to have a plan for things. Cause it could happen to all of us in a blink. Luckily there’s still time to get a bunch growing
Yes, I'm glad I listened when my parents and grandparents talked about keeping sometimes back. It would have cost us thousands of dollars to buy these plants. I believe you are right about this becoming more frequent. All the morw reason to get prepared now.
Oh no! So sorry to hear that Jordan!
I have never seen anything like it. Thankfully, we had some plants in reserve. I have been frantically planting the last couple of days.
Our garden & crop was trashed in the storm also. - I'm up in Franklin Co. I'm just going to re-plant as its still early in the season. Sorry y'all got hit so hard. That hail was knarly!
I know it was crazy. Glad WE all still have time to replant.
Worms ate all the leaves on my potatoes but I left them. They regrew leaves and I just dug and got beautiful potatoes. The rest was a loss and had to start over. I feel your pain and I plan ahead also.
We just replanted 50 pounds of potatoes. I won't have time now for a fall crop of potatoes, but at least I will get something. Hoping to harvest at least 175-200 pounds.
I'm terribly sorry brother, just remember to keep your head high and know that the good father is looking out for you and testing your faith and fortitude
Absolutely. We will replant and carry on.

I feel really bad for ya. allot of work down the drain. I pray that you can catch up and have a plentiful harvest.
Thank you
I'm so sorry this happened to you. You have time to replant most all of your garden. Fruit trees and berries won't make more this year but luckily you have enough canned and frozen to get your family through to the 2025 season.
Absolutely. We will replant.
So sorry to here this had the same thing happen here my survival rate was a little better than yours but it was bad good luck moving forward....
You have a great way of looking at this devastation. You are smart to listen to your mom and grandmother. I hope your crop turns out bountiful. 🌱🥬🥕🫶🏻☀️
Thank you!
