  • A cop tried his best to violate the rights of a citizen by illegally entering his yard without a search warrant. Thankfully, the property owner knew his rights and fended off the prying officer. Rick Strom breaks it down. Give us your thoughts in the comments below!

It’s the arrogance of knowing they’re violating but the fear of losing their job or being reprimanded is being taken as a joke because it is a systematic problem! The Chief needs to be written up if the officer isn’t written up. Police reform is needed! Just because it hasn’t happened to you doesn’t mean it won’t. It’s just a matter of time.

This was an example of a cop using the phony pretext of a "welfare check" to illegally invade private property. He asked, "Are you all right? Just checking to see if you're all right" as an excuse to keep walking onto the owner's property after the owner made it clear that he didn't want the cop on his property. The cop ignored the owner's valid question, "Do you have a warrant?" rather than answering honestly, "No, I don't have a warrant."

When I was in college, I was at a party. Some cops decided to let themselves in and claimed they were there because of a noise complaint. The neighbors didn't call them. Half of the people, all legal adults and none of us were drunk, were law students. They, including the home owner, told them to immediately leave because they were on private property and no one allowed them to come in hence they were trespassing and harassing us. They refused. The home owner called 911. One of the cops, demanded that he hang up. He refused and got the station's desk Sargent on the phone, put him on speaker phone and the Sargent told the cops to leave immediately. It was hilarious.

The homeowner makes the critical point at 1:31. If there was no warrant and no complaint made, he doesn't need to be there. Pretty annoying that he asks the homeowner if he's "all right" and sticks around like 5 times after he clearly stated that he's fine. Got to wonder a) if the cop was just trying to bait the homeowner into saying or doing something in order to "justify" an arrest, and b) the camera recording was the only thing that prevented an arrest.

They law works like this, there are no unlawful searches and or seizures allowed, unless they want to.

I don’t understand why so many cops are worried about this open gate. There is either something about the area that makes it unusual or they know who’s gate it is and are harassing him.

Just by his casual walk and hands on his bat belt, you knew he was up to no good! Kudo's to the home owner of legally ridding himself of this pest. Cheers TYT.

A few months ago I was doing some research into police departments that were hiring and I came across one website that listed benefits and had a lot of different quotes to inspire potential new cops. The police chief had some bullshit quote like "Let fear guide you." Yeah, let fear guide you to killing an innocent civilian which will then lead to you costing the city a lot of money because of a lawsuit.

    🤔🤔..
No one requested the presence of the police. The officer **knew** this before he walked through the gate. The commenter at the end is right--your front door could be sitting wiiiiidddde open, and the police **cannot** enter without probable cause or a warrant. Unfortunately, millions and millions of people are unaware of their rights on their own property or within their own residence, and 🙄"law enforcement professionals"😒 violate their rights by pulling the same stunt that the "officer" in this video pulled--they just invite themselves into or onto private property, usually without there being any need or request for their presence.
THIS BS HAPPENS **A LOT**--it's just not usually documented or reported to the public..
