It’s used to be worse when the animals were out in the heat instead of the air conditioned rooms. You would see furry dogs panting in the heat of Bangkok.
The animals in those cages especially that huge turtle was horrific.

During your weekly date enjoy only each other….no children….no discussions on family problems, etc…a time to enjoy each other’s company and appreciating one another. The joy of marriage till death do us part. Don’t neglect or take each other for granted. Renew your vows every year. Tell each other something sweet/appreciative about each other daily.

I may be wrong but I think Nam is already married and has a son of her own, by working for Lilly and Wat she is able to provide for her own family back home.

The bit with the poor animals was quite disturbing. I hope that one day Thailand will disallow the mistreatment of animals and will become more civilized. You see, Thailand is suppose to be the leader of the other nations in that region. If Thailand will make the first move - the others will have to follow. Torturing animals should no longer be accepted or excused as 'part of the local culture'. It is simply unacceptable. Thailand sees itself as a modern country. It is not. It is still locked in in 19th century mentality. I hope that one day Thai people will realize that what they are doing to animals is wrong. I pray to our lord every day that they will find the light in their heart and have mercy on these poor creatures of God.
Most of the animal salesman and sailswoman are Chinese or half Chinese who are quite shrew in biz. Most Thai they come to pet market to buy them and grow them nicely in their homes. Thailand has animal protection laws, anyone who beats or tortures animals will have to pay 40,000Baht fine (around1,150US dollars), and 2 years in jail, selling animals by putting them in cases if not crowded' are exemption on the condition that the cases must be cleaned and water is given every 3-4 hours, plus food.
@@beeaem2968 I went there and all the animals look malnourished. The cages are so filthy I wanted to cry! I want to complain but Idk who to turn to so I decided to share the video I took, a glimpse of what they have been through and the cages onto my Instagram and asked my family and friends to share it also. I really hope Thailand banned all these animal selling!

Without buyers the sellers don't have a business so perhaps instead of calling Thais uncivilised you can do something productive. Help others to learn, or go buy them all and give them a better life!

I agree about Chatuchak needing a map of some kind. We tried to return to a booth to buy shoes but could not find it to save our life! So confusing and the heat makes you feel a little deranged already ^_^ I'm glad they built the cover over some of the booths because when it rains, the market usually gets soaked. I lost a pair of my shoes from the downpours. As for sleeping in a different place than your hubby- same here! He's Thai and wants the temperature about 80+ Fahrenheit but I can't sleep like that- I need it cooler plus a fan on ALL night!

Agree, all those poor animals in cages...what a horrible life they lead and possibility of spreading of diseases. Sad that a part of Chatuchak has turned into this, especially in the heart of the city and along the tourist belt. Not a pleasant sight!
Agreed about the poor animals, that needs to be put to a stop. Aside for that Bangkok is a fun city. I wouldn’t mind living there for a short time at least maybe in winter time when we usually visit

@@Nekokeeb Petitions will not work in 3rd world countries sadly. There are no animal regulations and you can basically buy off the authorities. There are however, many of the new generation that is really making a huge difference. In my country (Vietnam), it is illegal to sell dog meat. The younger generation is starting to step up 🤗

These conditions are nothing when you compare to China. It was a live animal market in Wuhan which was the source of the SARS COV2 virus which was the source of the COVID virus. It was a so-called wet market where live animals are sold as Food, where they will kill the animals for you before you take the remains home to eat. I saw nothing like that during this video. In the Philippines, where I lived for 4 years, dogs are sold for food. I lived near a market where there was outside a handmade sign that Dog, Goat. And it definitely was not a pet store. So grow up people. Understand that it is the rare and endangered animal we should be most concerned about. Orangutans, for example. They and their habitat are being destroyed for the sake of growing oil palm trees. So if you are about these magnificent creatures do not eat anything with palm oil as an ingredient. Palm oil plantations are decimating the rainforests of Southeast Asia.
I haven't been to Bangkok since covid started. Used to go annually. Thanks for showing the streets and Chatuchuk. Time to make that trip there again. Wishing your family & Nam happiness always.

Been to Chatuchak in 2012 - OMG that's 10 years ago!!! and I wanted to go back there. Worth the pennies. I love the cheap items but of good quality. I hope it is still the same today.
It was so distressing to see all those animals cooped up in small cages with hardy any space and unable to exercise their natural instincts. Reminds me of when I spent time in China - it was very sad to see it there too 😔

I think you were only on the side of Mall with animals, furniture and plants. the main entrance to the market is next to the chatuchak park. It’s true that it is huge and it is better to know in advance which section you want to go with a plan. Thank you for these videos. There are so many beautiful things to see in Bangkok. there is the Sea life at Ekamai, Harbor land at Icon Siam and many other places for children. I think they will be happy to spend a moment there. ❤️😘

I think where you went to is Chatuchak Plaza which is operated by private sector meanwhile, original chatuchak is located next door. That's why the vibes and atmosphere are different.
why you don't walk around Cock Tower and nearby area that area is old weekend market ; because that area there are many many kind of product, such as fashionable coth and dress ,pocket, souvineer, shoe, hat ,food, trouser, jean jacket, pajama ,handmade product, panting, beautiful dry flower and etc.
It's good to have your own space, it's acceptable. Not a lot of people talk about it, but it's really a good set up👍
