Hi my name is Lilly and I am an American expat living on the island of Koh Samui in the gulf of Thailand for the last 9 years. My husband is Thai and his name is Wat. We have two boys named Luke and Leon and a new baby girl named Lyla. Nam is our Nanny and she is like family to us. She is from Myanmar and has worked for us for over 7 years.

Hi Lilly! FYI you’re right, they are called Rambutan and it’s available mostly in Southeast Asia countries. Also, nearly all supermarkets/hyper markets in Asia requires you to weigh fruits/veg before paying if you’re handpicking them. Chinese have 4 tones too and lastly most millennials in Southeast Asia must have experienced abusive teachers lol! GBU

@@thoragould6951 Many people this part of the world are very sweet. Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar people always walking around with big smile on face always happy even when things don't go their way. Yes they sometimes get upset but it does not lost very long. If you see Fathers face when little baby is locked up in room he sure got upset. This woman went looking in a man for what western men go looking for in Women. Peace and someone agreeable. She left a life of earning lots of money for a more simple life. The west is really messed up. Nam is single mother son is like 16 years old and she had to leave because no jobs in her country. What would it take to get him to Thailand if he wants to come. It would be a life-changing event for her, I am sure. With Moringa, we at times cook it with boiled chicken with lemongrass, ginger , green onions and we also add to that green papaya. Salt to taste. We call it tinola. Sometimes we boil with fresh fish.that are not as bony.

Another thing is being able to talk to your kids. ASK those questions about what went on in school. No who's in the class room. Even in private schools ,you still have to be aware of what's going on.
Please pray over your children before you send them to school. What we have done since the birth of our 1st born whom is now 23 was pray morning, noon and night as a family when we're together. Never be to busy that you don't give God some time. There are 24hrs in a day , and 7 days in the week. Spend some time with God and he'll order your steps and direct your path.

Loved waking up to your video!!! Your videos make me laugh sometimes and starts my day off! So many smiles from everybody in your house but I feel sorry for Wat went through in school? I think that was old school back in the day, because now days the teachers are arrested for that stuff! God bless you all and be safe out there!!
Much love to your entire family.

Lilly, you can add the moringa leaves in pulses( called dal in india)and pressure cook it along with tumeric and salt..once cooked you can add a little coconut milk or fine coconut paste and temper it with mustard seeds and asafoetida
    ia)..it tastes very good .

You are blessed Lilly ♥... Praying for Nam family 🙏. God bless you all.
You can try to cook moringa just boil water with onions, garlic, ginger and little salt... No oil and when the water is boiling put moringa. Very nice taste and nutritious.
And yes that fruit is Rambutan... We call the same in Philippines.

In Liberia, West Africa, we have similar connection with rice. Most of us will tell you we haven't eaten anything today, if our meal for that day did not contain rice. Ofcourse we have varieties of sauce and soup to go with it.

I write from Trinidad , West Indies (Caribbean). I am 3rd generation East Indian and my parents and grandparents eat rice every day. We also have the fruit and it is called Rambutan here - very good but very expensive at US$8. per lb, as for the moringa we use the leaves fresh here, as for the leaves of most plants, we steep in hot water and drink like a tea.

I noticed from watching South Korea dramas on Netflix how there always appears to be a steady flow of rice when they eat their meals, and it looks like every meal has rice. Don't people get sick of it or is it like drinking coffee every day?

You have a beautiful family. Very sad story about Wat and the teacher. It brought tears to my eyes. In Hawaii , there are Moringa or Malunggay trees everywhere a Filipino family lives. They like to make Malunggay chicken… very good! I was born and raised in Hawaii but now live in Southeast USA. I can only imagine how Nam feels about her homeland … I miss Hawaii everyday. Blessings to you and your family…Nam too. Be safe … be well…♥️

They grow in Hawaii. In Florida, rambutans do grow. When it is in season Costco sells them. I love it..coz growing up in Malaysia we have couple of trees. Now living in South Florida, I get my fix from Costco. Besides Ashwaganda, also look into Triphala. Also, when it comes to boiling, heat kills the potent nutrition. Best would be, make green smoothies and add those leaves just a little
