Way cool! What a labor and time saver.
Your grapple is just plain awesome!
Great vid and thanks for sharing.
Nice job! Thanks for sharing.
Having a good strong bucket is extremely important on a farm. I can remember as a kid .. first thing my dad did when he bought his AC 210 was cut the bucket off and build a nice big strong one. That was in 1973. It's still moving crap today.
Thank you for sharing, great job
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for making the video.
Gonna do the same thing on my John Deere
:)
Nice addition........
:)
Nice video, I had the exact same thing done to my 05 Massey 1533. Yep, it cost a few dollars to convert to a QA but I also had 3rd function valve added for a grapple. Makes you wonder why we waited so long to get a grapple doesn't it? Also put a piranha tooth bar on bucket to dig into dirt. I did no work since I have no welding skills or equipment.
You might want to cut out a bigger portion of that angle iron and grind it down real smooth since you have to get hands on the lock levers. Sometimes when you're out working we move a bit too fast and that's when those jagged edges get you. Again, nice video and thanks for sharing.
I have this attachment, and it works great to remove brush.
It's easy on, easy off...
www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/the-ratchet-rake-68-in?cm_vc=-10005
Yep, nice tool. I was looking at the ratchet rake several months ago when I had to clear an acre of thickly wooded land. I actually did the job by hand with loppers, chain saw, snips, bow saw, and a lot of sweat. Whew, it was a bear but a super workout. In fact, I'm getting tired by reliving the moment (chuckle). You ought to do a video getting into some thick stuff with your ratchet rake. Be safe out there.
good job
Thank you so much for this video
You are so welcome!
Nice!
Thanks for sharing,, I accidentally left one side of my ATI quick attach lever unlatched.. the darn bucket in hinged itself, of course, and torqued the alignment of the lever plates.. Another thing I’ve got to fix.. Any recommendations..
I would use a fixed object (tree or something like that) and chain between the tree and the bent place. Try to use the tractor hydraulics to bend it back. Small movements so you don't over do it.
Or (depending on which way it's bent) push against the tree with the tractor and try to bend it back in place. Might be tricky, but it could work.
I have a bent bar on my QA too. Not bent bad. Still works.
I need to do the same thing, but sounds like yours may be worse than mine.
Let me know how it goes.
If/when I bend mine back I'll try to video it and post it.
Hope that helps
Nice short info video on the quick attach!
And I LOVE IT!!
Yep.....I get annoyed and click off pretty quick when they try to get fancy with a loud, obnoxious music intro instead of getting to the point.
Just a suggestion - on that angle iron that was "notched out" - cut end corners to a full angle and box the end over with plate. Looks like stitches waiting to happen, (been there). Nice Enjoy !
Thanks for the tip!
Hi, Where did you get your quick attach adapter for the Kubota tractor? Please let me know where I can get one and I need to convert my tractor to have a quick attached. Thanks.
www.everythingattachments.com/
Great company!
So my question is did the pins to hold the pivot point of the bucket and ram arms, where the same size as the new QA? And where did you get them?
Yes. I bought the specific conversion kit for my model Kubota
Everything was perfect
Just had to weld it on...
Good day sir
have you noticed any performance issues since converting? or is it as strong and durable as it was before?
Seems as strong.
There is a little difference in the height of the bucket when it's down all the way. It doesn't quite touch the ground.
In the video, I discussed how to account for height... and I put mine as low as I could... but it still needs an inch or so to touch the ground. That hasn't presented a problem yet, though.
Trying to do the same thing. Did you ever post a video on how to get it lined up and marked for welding?
This is the only video I have on this subject.
Here's a link to the video that helped me the most:
czcams.com/video/6ug3tmqQ09I/video.html
That's where I got my QA brackets and conversion stuff.
hope that helps,
alan
Love my rachet rake
The Ratchet Rake is a very nice tool to have, but I will say, I haven't used mine much since I got my grapple.
Could you send link to the parts used. Where can I get the quick attach adapter?
Contact Everything Attachments. Just tell them the model tractor you have, and they should have the parts on hand.
Nice. I'd cut that brace on the back of that bucket off at an angle and weld a plate on it. No cutting of hands and no yellow jackets.
+devartt1
Ooowwwwww.... I didn't think about the yellow jackets... I'll have to watch for them
+devartt1 i agree.
+devartt1 I thought the same thing when I saw that... I'd cut those out more and close em off.
I have the same tractor and and I bought the quick attach made by Kubota for $600 I was about to by an off brand and thought I would try Kubota just see if they made one for my tractor and sure enough they did
I bought my tractor used and had to retrofit.
Quick Attach ROCKS!
were can you find these parts on line thank you
I think I got all the conversion parts here:
You'll have to make sure they fit.
All tractors are different, so they have to be for YOUR tractor.
Good quality stuff.
I found cheaper stuff online, but I chose Everything Attachments
Just realized I forgot to include the link to Everything Attachments
Here it is: www.everythingattachments.com/
I'm assuming you installed adapter plates on loader and brought it up to modified bucket for tack welding. It would have been nice if they had outside flanges for bolting on bucket instead of welding. I think you increased the $ value of your tractor, not to mention the convience. Good job!
Yes, new adapter plate and QA conversion.
LOVE IT !!!!!
Everything Attachment, they are "near" my home here in WNC.
Where did you buy your quick attach on your tractor?
Everything Attachment online
This is the WR Long conversion kit.

Well that's now easier than our John Deere attach. Instead of levers I have two pins to insert. Switching attachments (say forks to bucket) is about 10 minutes or so.
I see your new toy is a root take front attachment. Great for logs and sifting dirt. Do you have thumbs on it too? If so that's nice!
Er I meant "root rake"
+Atoyota
Yep, the top "rake" opens and clamps using the rear hyd.
I'll do a video on it in action soon.
+TexasPrepper2 Yeah we don't have one for the Deere, but the Skid steer has two size rakes. 8' and 6' rakes. The 8' we use mainly when doing burn piles, pushing in and sifting chunks out of dirt and ash.
But for instance you could chainsaw down some small trees (locust maybe) and then use the rake to pick them up and deposit them elsewhere.
They are handy "big hands" on equipment.
I have a 545d pin style was wanting a quick attach adapter
Call Everything Attachments: www.everythingattachments.com/
I bet they can fix you up.
It's not cheap, but it's the best thing I've ever done for my tractor.
Worth every penny! :)
Remember, you'll have to convert all your ATTACHMENTS to "skid steer" too
Just wanting to add a grapple how much on adapter
Buy the grapple with skid steer mount.
Any OTHER attachment (bucket, etc) would have to change to skid steer.
I think my bucket change cost $200, but not sure and I'm sure it's changed by now.
Everything Attachments will tell you everything you need to know. Helpful folks
Thank you
you could cut the wedge at a nice 45 degree angle and weld a nice little plate to cover the hole, it shouldn't cost more than 2 or 3 hundred bucks.
And it would work as a brace for strengthening the bucket. But c'mon man, $2 or 3 hundred??? Somebody's getting screwed if they pay that kinda money for capping those angles. I'd do it for a hundred and make bank! Say that's a 3x3 angle, cut a 3x3 plate of desired thickness, Mark and cut diagonal. Trim the angle iron on the bucket, clean all and weld. No rocket science there.
I've done it like this, cut off the old pin plates and re use them. It's a lot cheaper, but it's also a LOT of work and time. Decide what is more important to you. You need to be a very good welder, and good at cutting with a torch, or plasma cutter. Expect to invest 2 to 3 full days to completion if you are not an experienced fabricator. Regardless of experience, this is never going to be a 2 hour project.
So true.
Sounds like a lot of work. Most of which I am probably unqualified for 😊
That's really quite reasonable. When you have to pay double that for a cheap plastic bumper for a car. :)
+1timby
You know... you're right... Everything's relative, huh ?
The QA plate on the tractor......$837! WOW.
It's so convenient that it was well worth it.
I can't imagine having to change implements without it, especially since I got my grapple. Watch how easy it is:
czcams.com/video/W2fylc-b3uI/video.html
Got mine from Kubota dealership. $575. Splendora, TX
I got mine from a dude on craigslist for $350 this spring, and an adapter for a bucket (or whatever) was $80.
Looking at them Arc Welds it seems like you need a DC arc welder, smooth as butter, with 7310 welding rods if I remember correctly.
I have three welders, and none of them are DC 😩
@@BIGALTX I bought the BlueDemon DC arc welder for around $350, and my welds were night and day comparison to the AC welder. The Arc is smooth crisp and steady, no popping spitting or sputtering.
And the bluedemon suitcase size unit only weighs like 25Lbs
@@lionsdejudah I've heard DC is really nice. But, with 3 welders already it's hard to justify buying another one :)
Correction: 7018 arc welding rods, they are the best for DC welding.
I built my own. Cost me about 120.00 total for all the steel.
You da man.👍
I don't think I could fab this 😎
@@BIGALTX I can take some photos and email them to you, with what I did.

@@BIGALTX I would be interested as well. iceman41488 @ gmail
Could you email me, too?
You coulda sold your bucket and bought a quick tach bucket, and been $$$$ ahead, lol
If you believe that you should go bucket shopping. The one you want will be higher than hell and the one you got nobody else wants.
@@bellydump-hf7ec bahahaha indeed. Where he could a saved money is if his nephew is a good weldor they sell the tractor side plate for about 200 bucks where you take those tabs you cut off the bucket take two pipes that fit through the lines and line them all up and go to town with an angle grinder till they're pretty flat then pin them on the tractor and weld the plates to your original tabs. This saves a ton of money because the tractor side can be 800 to 2400 bucks depending on if it's a common loader or not. But when you do this it is very critical that you put the bucket flat and level and then idle up to it and mark the top of the attachment bracket on the bucket then mark 2" above that for where you weld the plates in. You want to be able to go about 2" below grade with a flat and level bucket to ensure that the bucket can engage ground with power down and a level bucket. If you mount too low you have to extend your cylinders to lower the front of the bucket to engage ground and we all know you want to have the bucket as curled as possible when doing heavy bucket work.
Why ruin that bucket? Just go get a quick bucket and have both.
That bucket is useless to me once I installed a quick attach on my tractor.
Without the bucket being QA, it won't work on my new setup.
@@BIGALTX I know this is old but you can buy a quick attach plate for the bucket that uses the pin holes. No welding.
@@mckrackin5324
Can you tell me where those are available?
@@raywmontgomery I think it was sold by Worksaver. Or it could have been 4startools. It's been a long time. Sorry I can't be exact.
why in the world would you use the rod with less strength for a root pass then put the stronger 7018 on top. Here is a welding tip. ditch the 6011. do one real good pass with the 7018. if your not that good practice on scrap till ya are.
6011 is a deep penetrating electrode, it also works better on worn metals. On a root the 6011 helps with getting inside reinforcement with less slag. Pipe welders do it all the time. 6010/6011 root and 7018 over.
WHUT? LOL
