Lots and lots of locomotives in LTEX's Lordstown location. Notable here are a few BC Rail/CN C40-8Ws, a quintet of QNS&L locomotives, an MMA U-boat, and more class 1 units than you can shake a stick at.
Great video :) at 7:07 I spy former Pan Am Railways engines MEC 619 SD40M-2. MEC 604 SD40-2 MEC 600 SD40-2 MEC 606 SD40-2 Snoot nose. For those curious Pan Am sold the following MEC locos to LTEX back when they were still here. MEC 613 MEC 610 MEC 608 MEC 617 MEC 618 MEC 619 MEC 600 MEC 604 MEC 606
Thank you for the video, I'm jealous I wish I owned those localmotives, if I only could would win the jackpot lottery. I would buy old localmotive engine's and have a nice collection of fixed up engine's and a few cars to go with it. Thank you again for the video.
There are plenty of them. I think there's one at 0:50, on the track behind the row of NS switchers. Southern belle switcher at 1:35. Looks like a row of five or six in southern belle paint in the background, above-right of centre at 2:39. Two grey road locomotives in the centre of the frame at 3:04 (same pair visible at 2:39). Three in southern belle at 3:46 and another one full-frame at 6:24 (also seen a few other times, from farther away). Grey one at 10:12.
i was looking at this place on google maps the other day, and noticed there is another place with engines pretty nearby (mcdonald) that youd have to use a drone to see them. what really interested me was what look to be BN paint EMD F or E units.
Wish someone would save those 2 ex SP tunnel motors, not to mention the 1 SP tunnel motor still in original SP paint. Those were some incredible engines EMD built. Sad to see all those EMD SD-40, 50 and the SW1500's just sitting there. Sure don't mind seeing the newer GE's rotting. Junk locomotives.
Maybe more locos here, than anyplace in the country? Sad to see that all these are out of work. Thanks to the economy and PSR. Shows maybe that RR's over- bought locos.
This is a nightmare and a dream all at once.
Quite possibly.
Larry has quite the collection

This was great to see. Enjoyed seeing all those different locomotives from different railroads.
Larry sure owns alot of locomotives!

Our local railroad just received 3 SD60Ms from there, Ex UP units.
I thought I was going to see my car. Must have been on a Saturday. 🍺🍺
Well, with all the locomotives here, they certainly keep busy at Larry’s Truck and Electric.
All those going to scrap... You'd think I could get just one horn. But nooooo hahah
love my swithers and slugs and they got tons of them
Wow thaz a lotta engines.
I think I saw one (1) KCS Unit in the Great Drone Coverage. 👍

funny how i was just looking at pictures of this place on the net looking for csx lost GP60’s
Thank you for sharing. Very much enjoyed.👍👀
Turbo1431, GREAT JOB...how about some details on the rig you are flying.
Very good video!
I wish I could fly like that
I dunno what had me more off kilter, the camerawork or the bunch of stuff they've got
I had no idea that complex was that large.
Are they all headed for scrap? I would assume those 4 axle GP-38-2's rebuilt would be in high demand since 4 axle's are no longer manufactured.
Wish CR 7803 wasn’t here
Sad seeing these “historic” locomotives being rebuilt or cut up for scrap
Google earth don't look anything like this, where is this yard. This looks like GM Lordstown 10 years ago.
Why would the Tankers and Coal Car come here instead of having them Scrapped wherever they were sent from ? Locomotives are a Different Category. 👍

That might be another location for LTEX.
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Holy hell?!
NOOOO THE NEW YORK CENTRAL UNIT
Graveyard for locomotives? It seems like it.
Only for the somewhat useless Dash-8s. Every other locomotive seen is ready to be leased to shortlines and such.
Try modeling this!
😁
Wonder how many would be chosen by Rock Island Rail. Lot of good classic motive power.
Nice locomotives. That facility is begging to be modeled in n scale!!
Where is this?

Is this where old rolling stock goes to die, Like the Pima aviation graveyard?
Sorry if this is a noob question, but does LTEX buy ex locomotives? I see so many ex UP's, CSX, CP's, also why does a locomotive become ex company?
essencially LTEX buys the locomotives that the big companies don't want anymore, then sell, lease, part out, or scrap them.
I'd like to know how much scrap metal is scavenged per month or quarter from this facility in tons. Also where does the scrap metal go to?
I think this is a parts donor facility
i know where his location is in mcdonald ohio andf i havent been too this 1 which is about a hour from this 1
They are all for sale for railroads I’m guessing

659 locomotives?😙
Someone has a hoarding problem.
Is it a drive in movie? Sad
This is no movie at all.
Merely, heartbreak of those who adore trains.
Does trains still work on this yard?
Could be retired engines and work cars. Send them a bid, start your own real RR layout.😂
such a waste.. but nice to watch!
0:47 haa haa the Trump train ain’t going nowhere! It is parked in for permanent removal of parts. Hemmed in by the scrap line I hope!
