Traveling to my university I listened to the album The Make It All Show. Have you heard "Do not Leave Me Gravity"? Oh God, the voice of Peyton and Kelli is amazing. I heard it about ten times, then I changed it to "This Vacation".

WoW... The Big Fit is my favorite. I love it. In fact, today I went to a store to consult about the album. But they told me they had to bring it from abroad, and it took a week.

You aren't. I love them so much... they take me back to the 90's growing as a teenager with the grunge era and I love all their songs. They are very talented indeed. They offer music for every kind of listener, not only grunge-style that I grew up on... they are diverse , passionate and fun. I will forever support SP.
I believe the reason why music is lacking melody and passion today is because the blues element is gone. All great rock and pop even had that blues element and now it is gone and reduced to nothing... all garbage to sell to the youth and brainwash them with nonsense. Skating Polly takes me to places like the music I listen to used to as a kid growing up. Grunge, 80s , and even classic rock. Even pop with great catches that you can't get out of your head. They rock hard and are one of my few favourite bands of today ( CLUTCH and The Company Band being two others, along with Father John Misty.)

Holy wow, I've listened to this song for 2 almost 3 years and it's so amazing. I love this band so much 😭
Saw them open for X in June 2017 in Denver...been a fan ever since. They were so unexpected, so clearly joyous and uncynical. The audience was a bunch of 45- to 60-year-old punks with a few youngsters thrown in, and Skating Polly captured our hearts. It's such a wonderful catalog of songs at such a young age.

Bar none, those are my favorite kinds of shows to go to. Most punk shows with the older bands are like that now and I can't get enough of it. Us ol' farts that still have that 20 year old punk spirit, but we're all too old and crippled to get too rough nowadays. XD Just a lot of pogo and slam dancing and a minimum of fights. Just wish I still had that 20 year old energy. =P

Honestly, you guys are one of (if not) the best band from the USA within the past 10 years. The diversity in your music is awesome, every track is refreshing and exciting that when listening to one of your albums it sounds like something new each and every time. Not many bands have such a wide range of sound, along with the talent! And i think that's awesome... if the music industry has any credibility left, you guys should be a household name soon enough!

Lovin' Skating Polly
Thanks to CZcams and their recommendations I've become somewhat acquainted with Skating Polly in the past couple of weeks. Up until a couple of weeks ago I had never heard of this group, now I have. I'm very much impressed with these girls and their brother, and hope they can continue thriving together. It's a pretty cool contrast that Kelli and Peyton have going on vocally, and yet bring it all together with the harmonizing. This is a great band and the way music was intended to be! I would like to say Thank You to Kelli and Peyton both for some much needed inspiration, they have given me not just hope in music again, but a little faith in the generations behind me. I was so impressed I bought their last album straight from their website, and the 2 priors from Amazon, and may have to get yet another. If anyone is wondering, I just spelled out how a functioning band can get album sales from an old fart. Great job Skating Polly!

Yes Weird Planet I keep looking at Fuzz Stelia. It seems to have their more raw punk stuff going, to me it's cool being able to see them grow and evolve from that to their recent stuff. Personally I think those girls are advanced well beyond their age reflects! They're writing stuff that's pretty damned amazing, and then I get the opportunity to hear live and studio versions here on CZcams, I'm impressed with their live stuff as well. These girls are amazing and I hope they don't get messed up by a somewhat brutal industry. If one is watching closely at what and how they're doing things here, they're leaving a road map on how to possibly make a living playing music in today's music industry. After I heard the 6 minute "Little Girl Blue"( Battle Envy), I had nothing but respect for them, 6 minute songs won't get many commercial appeal, they're doing it because they have something to say! and love what they're doing. Once again I'm much impressed with their older stuff as well as newer stuff! They've inspired one difficult to inspire! Robert
Alright Weird Planet, I just ordered that album too. I've emailed 3 videos now to a fellow in Australia whom I often talk music with, he digs them as well! I'm more than likely going to blog about them on my site StorySongTales.com . Something I started doing this year is blogging about these new to me girls of rock or pop. I think Skating Polly captured my attention with their 90s female rockers sound, I had a lot of the albums of some of their influences which are really heard on the album I just ordered. Likewise I like the direction of their evolving. These girls are writing stuff well beyond their years and Kelli has the camera presence of a seasoned pro, but still gets nervous on interviews. In my day we had Cassette tapes and Cds, the internet has created a cool way of keeping up with musicians and artist. I've literally watched these girls grow in just a couple of weeks. Simple stuff taken for granted sometimes amazes me! Thanks! Robert
Hello Weird Planet: While I hadn't meant for you to go check out a site, I'm glad you feel compelled to do so! Like you, I was writing poetry in verse, I discovered if I could find something central in that poem that could be my chorus. That's what I did and have done, I still write in verse, I can't seem to lose that, a lot of folks seem to frown on the verse thing, but it works for me. If you go to that site check out the older blogs. I leave a few lines at the end of each blog asking someone to participate in that writing, it could be a story you wish to contribute to?
It's interesting, your take on Peyton and Kelli, I like the way they're working the contrast they have. I probably, if I had to choose, like Kelli better! She seems to have a little more dynamic to her voice. Hopefully I won't have to choose, as they seem to work well together!
I haven't gotten into a band like this since Larkin Poe which was the tail end of last year. Should you get a chance check them out as well! start with their own "Look Away" note how they harmonize as well! They're a sibling group also. They're older than Skating Polly, yet I think SP might be writing better original material, and getting more creative with their stuff. They were a great find for me! Weird Planet, If you're always on the look out for new, which is what I get into, then check out some of those blogs on that site. I've been featuring (always female it seems) girls that have caught my attention either by their music or the manner in which they're conducting their music biz. There are some good ones in the mix and some of them were featured twice as I discovered more about them, Janet Devlin being one of those, impressive little girl, great voice and interpretation on some not so easy covers. I think I've gotten to the point where I'm just going to keep it to the women, they seem to be doing more than us guys are anyway. I just about did Skating Polly at last posting, but Liz Hale was a better fit for Football, and she too has a hell of a voice! I wanted more time to get acquainted with Skating Polly, I went and checked out their music publisher earlier today, I was hoping they were truly independent, but being with a publisher isn't too bad if they did a good contract. I do wonder if these girls are doing it on their own or if they have a lot of outside help? How big of a role do the parents play? these girls started young and are still young, as stated earlier I'm really blown away by them in more ways than their music. Yet another awesome video for another amazing song by you all. I enjoy the glimpse of your personal lives in the pictures and family interaction and how the video emphasizes how difficult it is not only for yourself but for family members to have a toxic person enter their family and how it can be hard for a person to realize it even with all the hints from loved ones. I am sure many people have gone through this and for those of us who mature and move on it is hard to recall why it was so hard when we were younger to remove the person causing us grief from our lives. Love the band, and especially your voice Peyton, you and Kelli really express the songs that you lead vocally in your own unique ways, keep it up.

This has a lot more in common sonically and attitude wise with Letters To Cleo, Veruca Salt, Tonya Donelly/Belly and even The Breeders with a little bit of Kim Gordon swagger. Fuck grunge.
