yeah wtf i was not expecting this to be so uniquely good.. totally got Tracy Bonham and Veruca Salt vibes in the best way.. yet her singing style is good in a way that makes this totally its own thing.. stumbling on new music like this makes it good to be alive.

I can tell she's talented. It's a different genre tho I feel the same shaky tension of Lorde from her artistic expression. Kurt had it too. Real artists got one.
In my opinion, the best Skating Polly song. The melody is so dramatic, the chorus is so 90's and although I like to hear Kelli and Peyton scream in their songs, the quiet vocals in this one are... hypnotic and beautiful.
I was looking for Polly by Nirvana, thus im not disappointed

Same as the term "punk". UK punks hated it. What the fuck do we call it? Seattle music? UK garage revival music with spikes? Fucking purists...Grunge was born out of 80s outsider bands like The Meat Puppets, Barkmarket, Spongehead, Motherhead Bug, Bad Brains....but those bands had limited appeal so Grunge added pop sensibility to their interpretation of rebellious outsider music...it only became "grunge" once the whole coalition began gaining traction in the mainstream. I'm a good musician, people call my art all sorts of dumb stuff. That's life

Guys, I´m in awe, really, I´m SHOCKED! I haven´t felt like this for the last 15 years.
I was searching for something on Google and the name Skating Polly came in an article that appeared randomly in some unknown blog, and I thought what the heck is that crap? A band? So I decided to search that on CZcams and found this song.
I´m 36 years old and I´m feeling the same way I felt when I was 14 when I heard Smashing Pumpkins for the first time, which became my favorite band at the time.
I´m going to buy all Skating Polly albums immediately!

The sad thing about grunge is that there weren't too many bands or albums to them, hopefully, these new ones can fill that angsty "grunge" itch that I get. Beautifully done.
Things could be going in that direction, there certainly is a grunge renaissance on the horizon with bands like this and Yantra. Some think Belgium is the new Seattle. I believe it.
