I think what’s interesting about the vocals in this song is that it forces us to get used to Kelli’s voice, which is very interesting and a bit more unique and little-sister-y. Then when Peyton takes the lead and sings a stanza that has already been established earlier in the song, her voice is a lot more clean and pure, so it’s somewhat of a breath of fresh air that I didn’t know I needed.
this comment is such an obscure, yet exact string of words that i didn't know i needed to read. this is exactly how the song feels, dead on. this band is so talented, especially now that kurtis joined and they're a 3 piece, it gives the songs an extra layer.
Kelli is grungy hardcore and expansive and peyton is crisp put together and songbirdy
I like SP songs better when Kelli is the primary singer vs Peyton as primary singer, but in Kelli-led songs, if Peyton has a singing part it is always my favorite bit of the song. They are both great though.

I was looking for girl bands just starting out on youtube, I found some but the vibe felt forced, like they were acting, trying to be rockstars. Then I found you, I like the songs, love the bass, and you can feel the vibe is true and original, not forced, I'm loving the atmosphere - Takes me back to when I was a teen discovering 90's girl bands. this was the first Skating Polly music video I ever saw this was probably half a year ago... I stumbled down a rabbit hole that is their music.
I finally saw them on April 17, 2019 when they rolled into town. It was on a small venue on weekday, but by god they brought some awesome energy and I'm so glad I go to see them live. and I look forward to seeing them again.
I really hope more people discover them.
