    I am speechless. This is the true power of a nation.

      Huixtocihuatl a handful of rebels create an illegal vote where people didn't even need to show their IDs and many people voted 3 4 and 5 times. Then the catalonian parliament takes a secret vote and then declares itself independent.
      All they've managed to do is cost Catalonia about €50 billion Euros, three major Banks gone, the unemployment rate from 16.8% into the 30% range soon.
      Cruise ships that normally dock in Barcelona with their half-drunk Rich tourists are now going to Valencia. Regular Spaniards do not feel safe walking around Barcelona with these radicals around threatening people and calling us all kinds of foul names.

      If Spain actually let them vote, this wouldn't have happened. Spain is no longer a democratic country and I'm glad that Catalonia decided to separate. A vote for sovereignty isn't illegal and compared to Spain, they never used violence.

      Huixtocihuatl and why isn't spain a democratic country anymore?

    • @NOVAsteamed
      @NOVAsteamed Před 6 lety +11

      I said it. Any government who dosen't let the people choose isn't democratic.

    • @carlosmpsenyorcapitacollon6977

      Bob Majew A handful of rebels? Of an electoral census of 5.000.000 people more or less, 2.200.000 voted pro independence options, 1.800.000 voted unionist options and the rest voted neutral options. There goes your first lie. Now, theoretically Spain is a democratic state, but oh, surprise, they do not allow a VOTE in one region because the may not like the result. Then they send their police to beat up voters. All of that while our Catalan police protected us and closed schools where no people had gone to vote. Second lie.
      Also, you could not vote 4 or 5 times. Some pro-Spanish troll tried to do so, but the system said that "this person has already voted" and the vote was not counted. Third lie. About the cruise tourism, yes. Half drunk, you said it. We do not want drunk tourists who come here to do everything they are unable to do in their own countries or to piss people off at night. We want normal tourism. Also, the ones who do what you said are basically hard left people. Fourth lie. And again. We do not give a damn about economy.

      Amirul Akmal that's wonderful, congratulating someone for going bankrupt.
      I don't think you realize that nobody on this planet except maybe Venezuela will recognize Catalonia. Imagine if you will Washington State or Massachusetts declaring independence from the USA. Both the states have far larger gdps than Catalonia could possibly ever have yet they're still dependent on Washington DC just like Barcelona is dependent on Madrid for their monthly paychecks.

    • @carlosmpsenyorcapitacollon6977
      @carlosmpsenyorcapitacollon6977 Před 6 lety +4

      Bob Majew No it is not. Catalonia is the third richest region of Spain. It would be virtually impossible to be so if we depended on paychecks.
      All the seventeen autonomous regions of Spain have complained that the state does not invest enough on them.
      However, we do not give a damn about economy. It is more about language, culture, and identity and the fact that Spain does not respect anymore the autonomous status we have. Also, what the state does with all regions is to take money from them and say "oh you are bankrupt" and then take money of the FLA which the same regions have given and say "look how generous we are, we are giving you our money" i.e giving a tiny part of the taken money with interest rates we do have to pay!

      Velo-Pro International As someone who lives in the U.S, they’re completely different situations. Catalan culture and language was oppressed for almost 40 years, they have a different language and culture from the rest of Spain, and are very wealthy(one of the wealthiest provinces in Spain). Catalonia has a larger gdp than both Washington State and Massachusetts. Washington State and Massachusetts don’t have independence movements because their language and culture has never been banned and oppressed(probably because they speak the same language as the rest of the U.S, and have somewhat similar cultures)

    As an Inquisition-like, Gestapo-freak society, Spain should be harshly punished by real democratic countries. We, Catalans and Valencians will be always a separate nation, with totally different values from our rude, backward and unrealistic neighbors.

      The reason why some Catalans want independence is because they believe that Spain is a totalitarian dictatorship, when it is not, that it "steals" Catalonia, when it does not, it is true that our politicians have robbed people, yes, but I want to find information about the millions of euros that Jordi Pujol and Artur Mas took to Andorra. They are hypocrites, I live in Catalonia and I am from Spain, I live it very closely, it is hell, my family has been divided by this shit of ideology. If Spain were a totalitarian dictatorship, the independentistas would be shot or imprisoned. To finish, there are two million independentistas and the current population of Catalonia is seven and a half million people.

    • @carlosmpsenyorcapitacollon6977
      @carlosmpsenyorcapitacollon6977 Před 6 lety +9

      Álex Cruz No. It is not. The reason are the numerous broken promises, the deficit of infrastructures that the state should build in Catalonia and the fact that our autonomy laws are not respected by Spain since 2010.
