It was sad. I was the cinematographer on this German documentary, and yes, they did get badly burned. Glad to see Eric still writing meaningful songs from the heart.
ERIC is perfect. He is such a amazing man, so kind, smart, funny, talented. There is so much to him that got pushed back. They never let him shine as much as he could have. He ended up showing the world just how much talent he had then and now. He is perfection in every way.
These young men were exploited on every level. They had no one but predators atound them, no advocates. Good for Eric Faulkner to speak out about what happened to them. God bless him.
Got to admire Eric for telling us how it really was. Being a BCR affected him deeply. I can understand his cynicism, but dear Eric, we still love you. ❤❤
What an insight into the price of fame !! In 1974 and 1975 the Rollers WERE the news and inevitably a lot of rubbish was written about them ; this goes with the territory of "mega" rock bands. BUT the Rollers, with their happy music and 'cool' gear, gave teenagers a 'sense of belonging' in a stark era. So -----, forget the rock band "hype", and let's be glad we have their music.
Even after all these years I still own my '16" magazines...special memories I just cannot throw away. They brought me so much joy and they just bring back wonderful memories of a time long ago.
I feel for Eric while h,s telling the story,s of those days ,I loved him then and still do😘you can,t imagine what those guys went through, back then.Eric seems to be a very heartfelt person💝
This interview makes me sad, because I see and hear Eric's sadness by being in such a huge public world wide boy band. As fans, we saw them as a fantasy, dreams, wishes etc...back then. It could not have been a more hectic publicity machine for them between public appearances, concerts, photo shoots, singing, constant performing because they never knew who would take a photo of them, drinking milk (I knew that was just the manager trying to show innocence), flying to different countries, and probably no personal time or personal life either, total invasion of privacy. The dangers....not only for them, but for the fans as well. Crazy girls would have done anything to get to them. No wonder he protects his privacy as much as he can. It's precious. Something that we take for granted everyday, our privacy. I see the recent videos online of him, and he seems more at peace and happy now. Very talented songwriter, accomplished musician, and singer.
Eric is such a genuine thoughtful person. I think he had a lot of fun on stage, but he wanted himself and the rest of the band to be taken seriously. I don't think any of the band members wanted to see any of the fans to be hurt or anything, but Eric seems to be the most sensitive about it.
