Two things: Microsoft Licence and Updates:
    Re: Licences:
I can not comment on Microsoft Licenses and how this impacts you. There are way too many variables and too many individual use cases.
I installed this on a new machine and it picked up some strange version of Windows.
I installed this in a VM and it was another.
    Same ISO file!
I can tell that when you install Tiny 11 it technically has Win 11 Pro - but this changes when you log into your Microsoft account and depends on what you actually own and and and and.
Do with this info as you will.
Re: the Updates - so far I have had several Win 11 updates with no issues. It didn't bring back all the bloatware. Security updates also work fine.

2:05 - You can boot into a virtual hard drive (VHD file). You can install tiny 10 (or 11) into a VHD, then dual boot. Its a bit like dual booting, but less destructive. There is a program called virtual BCD Edit which edits the boot file Win 10 uses (as the main HDD is still booted from). This is a great way to load multiple operating systems easily - Windows Server, different copy of Win 10 for trying out programs, etc. They're all independent and don't hurt each other. Cool feature.

Works like a charm and we use that small pc in our bedroom watching Netflix and other streaming services. It's activated with a legitimate W10 key (which you can buy anywahere for under a dollar), so no harm done there. Oh, and it's fully updated as well.

    • @tr4l1975
      @tr4l1975 Před rokem

Generally speaking the answer is yes. When disabling, turning of or outright removing stuff that's not used, it allows the device and associated programs/apps to run more efficiently.
However, keep in mind that programs/apps are designed with the assumption that your device has the necessary operating system things installed to run them. If a 'lite' version of the OS is installed, some programs, may or may not continue to work properly.

Hello Liron Segev, thank you so much, this fixed the 100% disk usage for me. However, it installed Windows 11 Pro for me, so my Home key doesn't work. Is there a way to install Windows 11 Home with this? Thanks.

Though it's pro, after activating using an edu key, this converted to the edu version.

I'm confused. Does doing this clean your computer, at the end you said you should do a backup before doing this. I thought installing and booting from a separate boot drive would have allowed you to keep all your files as is. And that booting with Tiny10 would use a partition of your drive maybe?
I'm not that tech savy so I don't know. I was hoping I could keep everyhing as is, and then test out Tiny10 and begin working off of it if it was faster, and then I'd have to upload some key software I use. With my new SSD I should still be able to do video editing while running Tiny10?

If my computer's hardware can handle it, can I load a music editing software program to run on these operating systems, specifically, BandLab?

4:55 - curl should be installed. Enough to download Firefox setup file... or at least Chocolatey.
