- This was edited using Audacity and Rendered using KDEnlive. The talking was removed from the finale clip and the credits music was seamlessly melded to the end of that. Some had to be clipped from the middle but this is by far the most complete and clean version to date. I hope you enjoy.

I'm still so angry that the best song from the film was one of the ones that was lost in the fire. This edit's pretty nice, but it'll never be quite the same as a completely clean version.

As a songwriter, I have to appreciate how catchy this melody is. If Debbie Harry had made this a single outside of the film, the hook may have rewrote history.
Technically she did. Look for her song "Maybe For Sure". Different lyrics, but it sounds basically the same.

I wouldn't doubt if both Robin or Debbie own tapes from what I know from the DVD they sung the song not together but separately .

There WAS a soundtrack released. I was a kid in K-Mart, and saw it in the music section on cassette tape. I tried to get my mom to buy it for me, I was only 12 when I saw the movie and subsequently, the soundtrack tape. Thanks for the restoration for this song, btw!

This is a criminally underrated film. All the tracks featured in the film are of insanely high production quality and the animation is through the roof good even by todays standards.
I think it was misunderstood when released theatrically, gaining its following as it hit cable TV.

Rock & Rule has always been a personal favorite, I love the music in it. Hats off to Debbie Harry, Cheap Trick et all.
I hope to god one day they give this movie the remaster it deserves.
Unearthed films already did. I have one of the first set of releases, a 2 dvd version with a remastered US version and the original CBC version plus other specials.
My older brother introduced this movie a while back, I’ll always come back to this song- it’s so climactic, She built it up so well.

i love this version! The quality of sound is excellent but I did notice that it's missing the section right after Mylar ends his line, before the chorus with the Forte duet at the beginning of the credits. That section is kinda messy because during it, Mylar is still talking.
