The Bills traded back 5 spots for 3 reasons 1) they accumulated 124 picks worth of value gained (gaining a 3rd for ex when they didnt have one, gaining additional 5th which became the bears 4th next year etc) 2) by not selecting a 1st round pick the bills saved $4 million in cap space on the rookie pay scale ($13.4 vs $9.5 max value aav) 3) the bills didn't have a 1st round grade on worthy and made the decision that even if they didn't trade with KC and hypothetically stayed put taking coleman at 28, worthy would still likely land with the chiefs at 32... as BB put it "you cant worry about what the other team is going to do." the Buffalo Bills made the best decisions for the Buffalo Bills, that's all there is too it...
I still can't believe they accumulated over 100 spots up by dropping just five spots back. I mean, I get it's still at a premium point in the draft, ...but not THAT premium, lol. Beane's still got it baby!!!
Very smart move by Beane
Yeah I can’t believe they did this. They better hope worthy is ass or they’ll look like idiots unless Coleman works out.
@@seanguitarman5594lol if the picks work out.
@@GLA45Amg716 I mean I guess you're right, lol. One would hope their selections would pan out, ...but regardless I was praising Beane's ability to leverage value. His ability to draft and aqcuire talent however, is almost more impressive.
Case in point: ...Taron Johnson, Dalton Kincaid, James Cook, Ed Oliver, Terrell Bernard, Khalil Shakir, Dawson Knox, Tremaine Edmunds, Devin Singletary, Curtis Samuel, ...Josh Allen when fans wanted Rosen (lol) and plenty more like Gabe Davis and Tyler Bass. Anyways, my point is Beane is a stud. Lol
Steelers fan here. He was a smug punk in Pittsburgh. I hope he has grown up and matured. His talent was NEVER in question, he has talent. His ego was always the problem, and for Pittsburgh to cut ties....kind of says something. I wish him the best, everyone can grow out of immaturity. I hope he does well in Buffalo.
The way he completely avoided trying to help with blocks says a lot about how much he was invested in football.
considering this is his 4th team to get a chance... the maturity isn't there the fact the dolphins traded for him and he never saw the field was telling
I feel like he wants to be a celebrity and have everything that comes with being an NFL player
@@MadAdam93well the last team just held no shot of him getting a chance to play dolphins were too stacked at wr
@@alvinkemboi5898 it was his work ethic that kept him off the field though, the dude is an asshole in the locker room and off the field... look at the footage of him stomping a guys head in a bar fight in pittsburgh
As a realistic Bills fan, I never would have imagined that I would be as OK about Stefon Diggs being gone as I currently am.
Count me in, too. I'm still surprised how quickly Beane and Co. turned around this roster. I believe the Samuel/Hollins signing was silently huge, ...and I think that's when I first took a breath in, lol. Now with drafting Keon, and some competitive depth added, things are looking a bit better. In fact, Josh has his speed in Samuel and Shakir, big possession targets in Coleman, Mack, Kincaid and Knox, a great RB in James Cook, and all behind a solid O-line. I don't know, ...sounds pretty decent to me for what many consider a "partial-rebuild" year. I'm mostly intrigued to see how Joe Brady uses all these guys. I see a playoff-caliber team, despite the difficult schedule. And if the offense can really gel, who knows? ...call me optimistic, lol
Came right to my city I love it 😂
As a realistic Bills fan I have been sick of seeing Diggs disappear in big games for a while.
I was sick of seeing Diggs get mad and then seeing Allen force passes his way.
@@bsmartr806 I'm excited to see Buffalo swinging for youth and storing up draft capital and cap space. It'll be nice to be able to really fine tune the offense for Josh in '25 and '26, while still keeping the roster playoff-caliber this season. Keon isn't Diggs by any stretch of the imagination, but I believe the style of offense Joe Brady will install won't require a true WR1, being more of a spread style, attacking defensive weaknesses on a game by game, situational basis. If this is the case, I'm all in on a Kincaid focused spread style offense, and Keon won't need to be Diggs, just Keon. All in baby!!!🦬🦬🦬
The Bills didn’t trade Xavier Worthy. He as never on the team. They weren’t going to pick him anyway, and ended up getting the player they wanted while receiving other picks in a trade. It’s not that complicated.
Imagine having that much talent, being a genetic freak of nature but no discipline, drive or awareness. Juju and Chase Claypool should've been the duo that brought the Steelers another Superbowl.
LOL
Both are immature!
Tomlin pushes too much of a gangbanger thug culture and that's why clowns like them don't take football seriously. Notice how the steelers fell off since about all the good talent Tomlin inherited l, his team hasn't been shit
I love Keon Coleman. Going miss him for my Florida State Seminoles.
Keon a dawg. Wanted my Brownies to get him. Keon gonna cook with the Bills.
He was better at Michigan State.
We'll make him feel right at home here in the land of the ice and snow. #GoBills
Realistically this is his last chance before ending up in Canada. Hopefully he’s done some evolving as a person and as a player
💯 This his last chance
He’s closer than ever now. Only Detroit would offer a shorter drive if he gets cut.
Leopard spots don't change. Just remember that 😏
@@isle10I don't want any lazy ass receivers or toxic players on my Lions team
It should be his last chance, but it wouldn't surprise me if there's another team desperate enough to give him a shot if he flames out in Buffalo.
Claypool should go to Kansas city. He can shoot tiktok with Jackson Mahome instead of playing football. 😂
Underrated comment. Because he would go to the chiefs. Do TikTok’s with Jackson. Get 2 targets a game maybe or maybe he could cheer lead while on the bench and then win a ring every year he’s there because Mahomes is football Jesus apparently. I’m not saying I want the chiefs to win but literally do what Melvin Gordon did and go be a 3rd string RB (or for WR I guess the 6th string) and win a ring getting 2 snaps a game at most
Thought Jackson was still locked up for sexual harassment
@@LDF-ld1dq maybe but idk. He hasn’t been in the headlines so he might be since he hasn’t gotten into more trouble
@@LDF-ld1dq He should be. He`s a twat.
@@LDF-ld1dq nope. I think that he’s out.
I think it's pretty obvious that Claypool doesn't care about football, or at best, barely cares. I don't know how anyone could deny that his main concern is his social media presence, and football is an afterthought for him, barely on his radar. It's possible that he realizes that playing well might boost his social media accounts, and he actually puts in a little effort, but even that seems pretty unlikely.
I know right. You can tell also by his mannerisms, the way he talks and what he wears.
It’s Claypools last chance. If Josh Allen can’t fix him then idk.

Khalil Shakir is so underrated with diggs gone i think he can easily be a 1000 yard receiver. Hes a great guy too just met him the other day at the golf course i work at.
You forgot Santonio Holmes on that list of WRs that sucked after leaving the Steelers. He wasn't completely terrible with the Jets, but he wasn't nearly as productive as he was with the Steelers.
Bills trading away Diggs and bringing in Claypool is hilarious. They’re both toxic.
Bills taking a free shot he needs them they don't need him,Diggs wore out his welcome bye bye
Steeler fan here. Loved the kid, needed to lose his ego problem but tons of talent. I hope he has learned from his failures and I hope he dominates this season. Nothing but the best my man hope you can pull it off! As a Steelers fan I have nothing but love for him bc we got a great pick for him anyway to the Bears so my best wishes for him.
The Bills doesn‘t have the best WR room ever, but quite a competitive situation for all the 5 to 6 potential starter. Talend is there, but everyone in there has to bring it to the surface. Competition is a good driver for that.
Totally agree with Shakir! Happy that he‘ll get more targets this season.together with Knox and Kincaid there are def. weapons for JA17. Especially in the area between 3 and 13 yards.
Go Bills!
As a Bills fan, I'm concerned with the WRs. Collectively not much speed. Few players that warrant double coverage.
I hope Claypool reignites his career with Buffalo. Like you said, he was a good WR - UNTIL he made that celebration mistake.
Also, I hope Keon Coleman becomes a good WR for Buffalo as well. He is for sure a guy to look out for on and off the field.🔥🤣
4:14 - Shout-Out to Dejan Kovacevic of DK Pittsburgh Sports for asking Chase Claypool this question 💪 👍
The social media has destroyed many of these guys careers. When you are in the locker room and u see someone on their phone 📱 for hours before the game u know something is missing maturity...........
TrAdEd xAvIeR wOrThY tO tHe cHiEfS... cmon Mike. You're more nuanced than that. They TrAdEd back and got a 3rd they previously didn't have for a receiver that would have likely fallen to the Chiefs for free.
Yup, ignorant comment
Or they Capaldi have taken Worthy themselves. If I’m being honest, as a Chiefs fan…I’m not thrilled .Worthy is fast, but he’s a mediocre route runner with so/so hands and he’s way small…lol
As a lifetime Steeler fan if he can find a way to play like he did when he was rookie he can still be a quality player... Steeler fans are quick to trash him a season after Maple-Tron tshirts all over the city to what they say now... if he gets his head right he's a great pick-up
You forgot to mention Brandon Aiyuk he's apart of that draft class bruh 🤦🏾♂

Bruh Coleman just a regular relatable dude 😂
Hopefully the Bills locker room culture helps. Think it kept Diggs in check "for the most part". & Chase needs to realize this is his last chance at pro ball
Claypool is going to be working at Macys after this.
Realistically, you could stick him with Manziel as the perfect duo who never shows up
I’m a die-hard Notre Dame fan, this kid was a monster. He could’ve played college football or basketball. He averaged 40 points a game in basketball in high school. Hate to see how his career floundered.
I didn't follow Notre Dame much when he played there, but I'm still scratching my head on how he did so well there in particular, and regressed in work ethic in character the more time passed while he was in the league. It somewhat reminds me of Antonio Brown, minus the Burfet hit that many feel played at least somewhat of a factor.
"If"... emphasis on the quotations...he can at least get close to matching his efforts and work ethic when he was successful in Pittsburgh, (which wasn't good, but was good enough, to allow success on the field)....I feel that Allen's style of play is the closest there is currently, to Ben's,...in regards to getting the ball out quick, or extending the play, (obviously Allen has the additional advantage of doing this with his legs), which "should" give him the best shot, out of any team in the league.
Although obviously genetically gifted and talented, being a Steeler fan, watching him play, he needs a certain style of QB, or else those talents, (minus the other BS), are greatly diminished.
Claypool has a 20 million dollar body but also has a 5 cent fart for a brain
- Herb Brooks
I used similar words of "last best chance". He's walking into a situation where I have zero doubt he'd be WR4 at least if he shuts up, goes all out and plays nice with others. If he doesn't, McDermott won't care how talented he is
And yes Keon Coleman is legitimately funny
Bills McGyvered an interesting WR room with a bunch of dissapointments in Claypool, MVS, KJ Hamler, and Quintez Cephus. The Bills also have Tyrell Shavers and Justin Shorter who are both 6'4" and both spent last year on IR or the practice squad. At least two of those guys wont make it through camp. Bills made a solid, low risk move here, especially for a team with no cap space.
What has been missed over time is Ben Roethlisberger made average WRs into very good WRs. If they had special talent then he turned them into superstars. Sadly i think that could be the case for Chase, he has some abilities that can make him a decent WR but he has managed to burden his own talent with selfishness. This is an opportunity for him, Josh Allen might be enough of a similarity to the QB play that helped Chase in his early success. For what its worth I hope he finds a revitalization in Buffalo!
Another Steeler fan here..honestly the best thing this dude ever did for us was allow us to fleece the Bears for the 32 for him..we used that pick on JPJ..so he gave us that..
dudes problem in the vikings situation isn't that he blamed his team , its that he didn't recognize you cant say that to the press whether tru or not, when they are looking for ammo don't give them anything. but his teammate definitely created the situation running to take the ball from him in a panic. but when you're at the podium you cant blame anyone regardless. they're going to torch you for it right or wrong
His teamate was actually using his brain, not celebrating with the clock ticking. The fact that the ball was knocked around is Claypools fault for being an idiot in the first place
Love your video, Mike, and keep up the great work you are awesome
Chase need a season statement: a boom or bust moment, as the n1 WR. He can become the next Mc Laurin or being forgotten like so many before. In my mind, he didn't have a clear vision of his career from the beginning, and that's why he failed in the previous teams. Very lucky to get so many chances, i hope he'll understand that loud and clear.
Love your content bro keep it up
I heard that he’s just a straight POs as a person. Bears found found out, so did the Dolphins. If the bills don’t get him going it’s over
Mike, when I saw the news. I knew you were coming with fire. Im here for it.
Claypool and Coleman are the most opposite type of people in the same reciever room lol

Emmanuel Sanders played pretty well for the Saints,Broncos, and 49ers after he left Pittsburgh.
Mic drop! 🎤 I knew there was one.
The Bills have a strong, everybody-does-their-part culture, which I believe Tomlin has built as well, so if he buys in, he will thrive, if not he won’t survive training camp, let alone make the roster. And if McDermott can’t turn him around then I doubt he would even make it in the CFL. Gabe Davis wasn’t the most athletic receiver, was maddeningly streaky and had a lot of drops, but he was an unselfish blocker which helped him stick around. Not betting on it, but wouldn’t it be great if Claypool bucks the trend and becomes the best version of himself.
How many chances is Chase gonna get? Time will tell. 🤷♂️
If he wont block he wont work in Buffalo. As a Bills fan I can't say I see why we did this. Buffalo is a franchise built on culture, that was a key factor in moving on from Diggs. I don't see McDermott dealing with it again.
Biggest waste of potential?
Rashee Rice: hold my beer.
I hope Chase levels out after everything he's been through. Side note I am not a Bills fan but Keon Coleman is becoming one of my favorite players with those interviews. I hope Coleman goes far
I really think Buffalo is a great landing spot for him. It's a small market. He can't get into too much trouble and he can just focus on football. Plus all of the guys hang out together so having Josh Allen keeping an eye on him will definitely help.
Bears gave up that 2nd because they didn’t want him going to Green Bay who offered them a 2nd and a 5th but Steelers knew they would get a higher pick with the bears. That’s the only stain on poles and that was because he was trying to help fields.
It is a good move: if he shows the willingness to block, and to be a starter, Buffalo keeps him. If not, they can let him go easily.
Antonio Brown put my Bucs over the top, helped us get a ring (along with another castoff from a different team: Leonard Fournette).
Do the Buffalo Bills hate Josh Allen or something? Trading away Diggs, trading a draft pick to the Chiefs and now signing Claypool.
Bills doing bill thangs!
I'm surprised that Dallas didn't give him a shot 😅😂
Buffalo is AFC Dallas
Man that franchise (Bills), chargers, vikings, cardinals, and browns are cursed af.. although, I expect BUFF to miss the playoffs this upcoming season, maybe next season they’ll re-cooperate and back in contention
These anti-character additions never work out
Everybody's busting on the Bills for this move. Minimum risk for the potential reward. If he's got a redemption arc in him, awesome. If not, oh well, he's gone after one season. And let's not act like he's a WR1 or 2 or even 3. He's a WR4 with a couple catches per game. He makes a few good, significant catches this season, it's all gravy.
That's what the bears and the dolphins fans already said. See how that line of thinking worked out for them, lol
Go chase !!🔥🔥
I already forgot he was on the Bears to start the season last year. What a year makes.
As a Canadian I had high hopes for Claypool. But as so many before him he has all the talent but zero maturity. I just hope his time in free agency was a wake up call.
not sure what to think about this as a Bills fan
Mapletron not maple mega tron
The fact that he said he was a top 5 receiver when he was on I Am Athlete is insane and says a lot .
A 25 year old adult has situational awareness. They know the down and distance. They know to get back to the line for a fast play or a spike. A 25 year old child, just does his thing. No idea that his actions can cost his team. Claypool is a 25 year old child. Children don't last long in the NFL.
He played well with Big Ben
Wait didn’t Antonio Brown win a Super Bowl with the bucks lol
It’s bucs not bucks lol
Like I care for that team lmfao
Just admit I messed up and was being stupid. People would respect that…
His Agent is a boss apparently.. lol
this is one of the best wr rooms that Allens ever had
thats Dorian Williams not Justin Shorter 9:34
Seems like everyone forgets about kincade knox and cook. Claypool would be 7/8 option in the offense. Josh obviously wants a big wr. Claypool, mack hollins, keon coleman, justin shorter. 2/4 will make the team. And Coleman is a lock obviously.
As a Bills fan, I think Chase will ultimately just be a training camp body.
I'm hoping I'm wrong, but he hasn't shown any maturity yet...
This won’t end well- Claypool doesn’t have the grit to overcome adversity.
"Trading Xavier Worthy to the KC Chiefs" yikes, this is why you are only as good as your b-roll. I forgot Worthy was a Bills player and not an undrafted college player. FFS. BUF dropped back twice in the last 4 picks to gain draft capital and get the guy they wanted at a 2nd round price, saving 4 million and gaining picks. In an extremely tight salary cap year. They didn't trade Diggs to KC, they didn't trade anything but capital to help them w their cap and draft. but let's hear some more about how bad BUF will be this year lol
I agree he doesn't care. He doesn't love the game
Thanks, Mike, for the content! Great take on this player, Chase Claypool, and following him through his career. Maybe he's matured, or maybe his new coaches and teammates will talk some sense into him! I hope he does well.
Really thought he was going to be something in Miami 🤦🏻♂️
Just another diva to replace diggs…..
Ill be surprised if he makes opening day roster. Great move by buffalo providing they didn’t pay more than vet minimum..
Worthy has a reputation as a bit of a drop machine, coleman is a catch machine... seems like a no brainer to me idk
Mapletron???? Who called him that lol

@MarvyG_23 no one called him that😂 literally not a single person on planet earth 😂
Mike even fucked it up and said “maple megatron” lol
Keon Coleman just became my new fav wide receiver and I’m a cowboys fan
Let's say he has a great season. Over a thousand yards receiving and 12 TD's. If you were a GM, would you be willing to give him a long term contract? Or would you be leery of his returning to his former ways once he got paid, and you'd be stuck with a big salary and an under performing player. The only thing to do would be to structure the contract so it would favor the team, and have an "out year" written in as early a time period as possible. Say after one year; two at most.
Man the separation from WRs like Terry McLaurin and Chase Claypool is unbelievable.
The bills are better off right now with the depth they have at wr than having diggs and Davis as their top two
You forgot Brandon Aiyuk
Hey, if he shows up this year I’ll back him. If he doesn’t, I think people are sleeping on how good of a trio Shakir, Coleman and Samuel could be. Personally, I would have preferred they took a shot with the pick they gave the Bears but nothing left to do other than roll with it.
Josh Allen bout to use the ish outta Mapletron!!
