My apologies for the audio issues guys! Currently using travel equipment
I would love to have a copy of that game
Bit o hijacking, but there is one part that is missed. For jerseys, I've seen players get a 3-4% revenue share. For college, fine. But it includes the first two years in the NFL. Imagine how much Fanatics is profiting off, say, Stroud at a 96% revenue share.
The pro deal is mentioned in the NFLPA is far higher. I've read 2/3, with some of the remaining going into a common pool shared for all players. It doesn't say what the company's cut is, but it's certainly lower than 96%
Hello Mike love your show pause!!! Lol quick question do you know anything about League call MLF-major Football League under Adam mclean I'm just trying to find out is it a legit or a scam I'm from Charleston we have a team to call the Seawolf and my son would like to do a tryout just trying to find out if it's a scam or not I'm just asking do you have any information on this particular League???
Your travel equipment is better than my normal stuff bro, I wouldn't stress on it lmao.
If Harrison signed the contract that's on him and courts should hold that contract case closed
If someone says the contract is “just a formality” read it twice.
Fanatics is absolutely terrified of other college students doing what Marvin Harrison Jr just did.. And they should be because fanatics shouldn't be making money off a kid who's not even in the NFL yet... It's extremely predatory
That’s all fair but he’s in the NFL now.
Fanatics also realizes that more college athletes will have leverage to say ‘no’ now that players can get paid in college. So they are trying to set a precedent by going all-out against MHJ.
Yeah and I don’t want a shitty fanatics jersey.
Agreed

These companies take advantage of the players. I hope MHJ sets a new standard.
yeah but i wanna play as marvin harrison jr
@@every1877 me to
Take advantage how? They make more money than 99.9% of people in the world
He can't really -- he's got that enviable combo of massive future value, plus no particular need to sell out for pennies on the dollar. And good on him for knowing his worth, but I'd be happier if future rollplayers or mid-round picks weren't constantly squeezed into signing with the first company that gives them any financial breathing room whatsoever.
he’s the most humble guy in football as an ohio state fan i might be glazing but its true
MHJ is just protecting his image and controlling the amount of autographed memorabilia available to collectors. It's a good move financially for him.
It also means his memorabilia is going to be worth more
This why MJ don’t do autographs anymore. He’s on a contract
Half these "collectors" are just people hoping to flip a valuable autograph one day
What he's currently doing has nothing to do with the football side of things. He's still at OTA's and working towards being a great football player. Anything that he does off the field when it comes to his career is his business 💯. That should be for all of us, we should always make the best decision for us, and not because of what others want us to do or whats the norm.
Yep
Great for him. They've been exploiting these players for decades. It's about time these players recognize their worth and use it as leverage.
a lot of players don't have a hall of fame wr who earned over 60mil as a dad to lean on financially
Yeah, enriching them has been such horrific exploitation.
Getting paid Millions to play a game is not exploitation. Non of them had to sign up to play in the NFL. Most have 4 years of Collage and could just join the work force or start their own business. They could even go play for another league and tell the NFL to F off. Amazing how non of them choose any of those paths. NFL has created one hell of a business and they make stars and house hold names out of these kids and then pay them a minimum of $795,000 as a starting salary and he doesn't even need to be a starter just making that 53 man roster.
Exactly! I'm tired of seeing these poor millionaires being exploited!
SMART YOUNG MAN💯
Yessir!! He sure is! He also has an excellent FATHER in his life giving him quality advice for his son! Good for the Harrison family and MHJ in particular. 👊🏼 Great comment, brother!

Based on your report it sounds like Harrison Jr. Is already a smart businessman and his dad is a good mentor. When you hear “Just sign…it’s a formality”, “You can trust me” or (from a stranger) “my friend”, your alarm bells should be ringing.
They don’t want him to start a trend with other players. I love how this new generation is smart with contracts
The kids arent smart with contracts, but their agents sure are.

Its the same across the board for most sports games. We had it great in 2006. Felt like each sport had like 3 different titles to choose from to play. Shyt all went downhill When NBA live and NFL2k died leaving only NBA2k and Madden. Its like they just gave up on real impactful updates with no market competition to push them
NIL deals has changed the game for student athletes for sure
First lawsuit has come abouts as well. I don't recall his name but some kid is suing Florida and the coach for an allegedly botched $13 million nil deal.
I mean his HOF father knows the game inside and out.
This story has absolutely nothing to do with NIL

Marvin Harrison Jr and his dad beat Fanatics at a slient war against rising star NCAA athletes in these predatory deals. Now Fanatics is being petty and trying anything possible to deter Harrison Jr & his reputation after being one upped. Props to MHJ for beating Fanatics at their dirty games…they’ll respond to him beating their contract negotiations before addressing the MLB uniforms or the many league’s merchandise disaster.
good thing Jr. won't be at that creep's party... Worried for Stroud hanging around him...
I'm all for it ! Clearly his pops knows how grimey the sports business can be ( hes probably seen teammates or colleagues get taken advantage of or go broke) and is guiding his son on how he can leverage his talent and hardwork for more money. Since NIL a lot of these companies will be mad that these young men can leverage thier way into contracts as well. If you hatin you really must be thinking that these companies have the players best interests in mind 🤡.
At the end of the day his talent and hard work got him here and ultimately the same will have to be put in to ahow results in the NFL. Get your bread MHJ!

I’ve been saying this for years, the weird monopoly that Fanatics has will ruin the sports merch industry, but it’s ruining the sports industry as a whole. Fanatics strange meteoric rise needs to be investigated. Good on MHJ for standing up for himself and not signing their deal.
Look at how these corporations treat high level professional athletes. We are nothing but cattle to them, nd anytime one of the cattle do or say something that might change the narrative they get hammered down
Marvin Harrison Sr. is doing EXACTLY what a SMART, LOVING "FATHER" SHOULD be doing.
Great business, MHJ!!! His dad is teaching him well. He’s already rich, this move is solely about setting a precedent for future athletes and leverage.
Anyone that thinks MHJ is being a brat needs to re-evaluate themselves.
I love the support yall are showing for these young guys. It shows that we all want what we work for and don't hate on the next man. Salute to yall

Mike, this was a FANTASTIC breakdown of this story & it truly needs to be heard. I am 58 years old & I TOTALLY am a supporter of this generation of young folks. As a Black man in this country, when I, my parents, & my parent's parents, & so on were growing up, we were all taught & TOLD what our value was: this aided to hinder our self-esteem & therefore our progress within our own rights. Now THIS generation has broken from those sociological shackles & are telling everyone else what their value is, & telling it LOUDLY! All I can do is applaud them, offer whatever wisdom & support they need, & stay the hell outta their way so they can continue to make noise & moves. The reason I know they are making the right & necessary moves is bc the "Old Guard," the "Good Ole Boy network," the "Status Quo" CANNOT STAND these young folks of today.
Bravo to you Mike for highlighting this story & keep up the HIGH QUALITY work that you do.
A "WR #18" jersey would go hard.
It’s baffling how stupid and butthurt Fanatics is acting regarding this situation. At best, a judge will dismiss this case with prejudice, at worst, Fanatics could potentially be countersued by Harrison Jr’s team for defamation and for knowingly filing a fraudulent & frivolous lawsuit. A “Term Sheet” by its LITERAL definition is a non-binding agreement that basically outlines what a future investment/contract would entail, often used to clarify the benefits for each party in the event a contract is signed (technically there are binding term sheets but they aren’t common). Based on what is currently known, Fanatics has absolutely no leg to stand on nor do they have any ability to enforce anything upon Marvin Harrison Jr.
Thank you for the legal opinion of a document you've never seen. You might find Fanatics behavior "baffling" because you don't know what their attorney's know. Since they're the ones who wrote the term sheet I would bet on them to know if it was binding or not. I also have no doubt that it's self-serving to the max so it being binding doesn't seem far fetched at all.
a terms sheet by definition is non-binding. it is a proposal for investment. MHJ never signed a contract and is under no legal obligation to Fanatics.
You would think the US government would stop Fanatics from getting a monopoly
“BREAK” is becoming my favorite part of your vids for some reason. I find myself shouting it w you. ❤❤
Insane glazing
Glazing glizzy gobbler.
This is pathetic
And then it's whatsss going on
The lawsuit sounds kind of SLAPPy, like, either they have a contract, or they don't. You don't need to bring in Pat MacAfee or even have it decided by a jury: it's fairly simple to resolve. Marvin Harrison Jr. allegedly using an offer to leverage other companies has nothing to do with anything.
College athletes get exploited left and right: I'm going to side with MHJr. unless they can produce a signature on a contract for an amount certain. Get out of my face with this "verbal framework of an agreement" noise.
Major respect for him and his family!
WR18 abt to go crazy
Marvin Sr wore 88. Video shows it, too.
You note that Fanatics stated in a court filing that though Harrison "agreed to a term sheet" a contract was not signed.
Isn't Fanatics the same company involved with the MLB jersey fiasco?
Yeh
Its all business. Honestly kind of refreshing to see someone force a change.
Thank you for putting the arrow pointing towards MHJ in the thumbnail, without it I never would've been able to find him
I like it, dont take the “screw you over cus youre young” deals
"MHJ is wearing his dad's jersey # backwards" if that were the case they'd have the same number "88" Fanatics is going to fold if they don't watch it. They already have a huge problem in MLB. The players absolutely hate the jerseys they made this year. They said it felt cheap and uncomfortable
That boy knows something
So Mike saying MHJ won’t sign cause the Quality of Fanatics jerseys (which do suck) but then if they offer more cash but don’t change the Quality and he Accepts. Then it’s what we all actually knew and it’s really just about the Money .

How can anyone be in the wrong for looking out for themselves. These companies whose business model is that of a leech, have absolutely no value when the host doesn’t let them come onboard for the whole purpose of sucking them dry! What is fanatics without the athlete?
As a business owner myself, I understand the value of owning your own fate. I am completely convinced that if my father was a business owner, I would have been retired today. As a cardinal fan, I'm very excited to see that we have a prime target for KM1, and I'm looking forward to the regular season.Let's go cards, Bird Gang...
This is also a huge problem for the NFLPA. They may have to offer a lot more of the cut of the product sold to all players or will be individually negotiated contracts hurting the position of the NFLPA with the NFL and teams.
I hope they just ban selling his jersey all together. He ain’t 💩. It’s about the game, players mean nothing. There are 50 more guys just waiting
Lmaooo I gotta use that one “if I could give this no stars I would”
I never realized Harrison Jr had a Merton Hanks neck until I saw the pic you used 😂. It doesn’t matter if he's not in Madden. Anyone can easily create him yourself and still do a more realistic player than Madden themselves.

Hilarious how Mike Rubin would go on PMS and be an absolute asshole and then drop his name in the lawsuit while not realizing the Indy colt connection. Dude needs to lay off the snow.
This is a good step for future players. I bet you there has just been a silent rule not to talk about this stuff, now that its going to come to light, it definitely will cost them more in the long run.
I think what he is doing is just fine. Unless the literal signature is required to play the game, you shouldn’t have to sign anything you don’t want.

You probably should have read the suit because fanatics said they signed him to a binding agreement and even prepaid him.
They have since been trying to get him to fulfill his duties as laid out in the contract.
Technically they said he signed the term sheet, and not a contract, which they claim is binding; but according to the law a term sheet is not binding.
I can’t believe it took him over 4 minutes just to say MHJ hasn’t signed the PA agreement
#2, they're making money off of his name. He's not getting 50%, and his name is selling the product. Good job

Calvin Johnson and Marvin Harrison jr in the same sentence
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Laugh all you want. Yes, that’s a BD statement but a lot of pro scouts are saying/thinking it. The young man has SKILLZ to be sure and may very well turn out to be on that same level. That type of comp is just showing us all how highly skilled a player is seen to be by SO MANY across the league. There was a REASON he was the first (to me the first “REAL” pick) “Non-QB” pick of the draft. Cuz he has MEGATRON “possibilities.” He may never come close but… that doesn’t mean the raw materials aren’t there. This is truly a “wait and see” type comment. But in fairness, ANY comp quote is.
Fair
@Petey_Vee ESPN kept thinking they were on to something comparing DK Metcalf to Megatron. So far DK has played like DK. And Megatron retried playing like Megatron. Its useless statements talking heads use to keep their tenure pay from not fluctuating.😊
You can’t compare him to megatron when he isn’t the same size nor speed. He is Andre Johnson at best maybe Larry but not megatron
If a person should own anything, IT SHOULD BE HIS NAME, HIS IMAGE, AND HIS LIKENESS. DOPENESS!
I'm very glad Marvin Harris Jr has the common sense to do what's best for him as opposed to being taken advantage of by others.
I feel like people are just straight up missing the part where MHJ agreed to something contractually along with his father, and then just straight up refused to do what was required of him.
Obviously you need to get your hearing checked or improve your reading comprehension. The video & Fanatics CLEARLY stated that he NEVER SIGNED a contract with them, they only agreed to a "term sheet", a term sheet is NOT a contract.
Either way it should take about 5 seconds in court

I love seeing the smaller group or person stick it too the greedy billion dollar companies
All this greed is turning me off to sports honestly. I'm all for players unions and players getting as much of a cut as possible, but constantly trying to squeeze individual advantages when you are already rich makes me not want to even watch football. Is there any pure sport I can get into? F this.
Rugby is a great team sport with similar facets to football
Chess
I mean i enjoy hockey because it’s faster, even more hits than football at this point and they can fist fight on ice haha. Plus you literally never see players act like that. Players literally wear suits to the stadium. It’s treated as a job not a joke.
Amazing that players greed is turning you off to the sport and not the companies that run it
When you're the best of the best you wanna get paid.
When you wanna watch the best of the best, you gotta pay.
Also
These guys take massive abuse to their body's, their time in actual play is very short.
Their time in prime playing even shorter.
So i get your point about the greed aspect, and I sort of agree.
I'm also aware the company's that get paid using these athletes likeness is insane.
This kid might be doing the exact wrong thing though.
If he ends up being a bust, he just screwed himself even worse.
