- After suffering from years of drought, the Dead Sea is facing an "environmental disaster in slow motion".
Scientists are warning the sea level is falling by as much as 1.5m (5ft) per year - meaning it could be a tiny pool by the middle of the century.
The crisis has seen sinkholes open up and resorts close in what is currently a popular tourist attraction.

This video is nearly 3 years old now. So the sea level has dropped by nearly 3 meters since.

Not saying we shouldn't be good stewards of the land and waters because we definately should.. but I believe it'll come back to life. In the book of Ezekiel it speaks of a time where the Dead Sea comes to life and that fresh water will eventually flow out of Jerusalem. As of late there has already been pools of fresh water with fish, vegetation and birds. I believe we're in that time and this is just the beginning of the process
