Hi Anika! I love this video! Any suggestions for creating an adult table? Could I use your plans and tweak them a bit? Thanks!
I love the way you don't waste wood scraps and also for the great work you share with us. Thanks a lot.
I purchased those plans, but do not see anywhere it shows how far in from the edge of the board pocket holes should be. If I’m missing it, please direct me to the location.
Just finished my son’s desk and I had him help throughout the process. I was happy to buy the plans from Anika’s website so I had the lumber/cut list in front of me when I needed it. One 2’X4’ sheet of plywood is enough to make both the desktop and chair seat.
That is awesome to hear! I hope your son enjoys it!
Great work! I love seeing instructional videos from women, because you explain things great for us new woodworkers. I’m building two desks for my kids now, and just finished the tops.
Thank you very much!
Another great project. Thank you for putting out simple projects for beginners. I'm not a beginner any more. But I'm always looking for another project and I like one day projects like this.
Big thank
OMGOSH, I wondered why you were putting the hinges on the outside! That's the best hinge trick I've seen in a long time!
Glad it was helpful!
Can there be another DIY method to do screw holes without using the special vice, if yes, pls let us know
These look great. Can I make a suggestion? Instead of putting legs together vertically, lay the apron flat and attach the legs. Much more stable and easier to get everything aligned
Hi Anika. I am an aspiring wood crafter and I really appreciate you for this simplified video demonstration. It’s also very inspiring to have a female representation of these skills. Do you have any tips regarding the type of tools a beginner should invest in?
Anika, You stole my heart because you are using a Ryobi. The only difference is, my Ryobi Miter Saw is cordless.
ha thanks!
👏👍 ficou muito legal parabéns criatividade show 👏
This is amazing! Great job ❤️ I wish I had all these tools to build one lol 😆 do you sell these? Is there a link where we can get one... thanks 😊
I am grade 4 kids and My dad just buy a big desk for me and it’s sooo cool that I can put all pencils that I like but I buy soo much pencils or little more pens and tons of erasers or glues or anything and the desk is the best
Anika, This is wonderful! I love this! Thank you for sharing this with us! I’ve always wanted to build a kid’s table and chair, but needed a visual rather than just a sketch from a book. I am growing my wood crafting abilities using your channel. It’s so helpful. ^_^
So happy you found it inspiring! It is super easy to build! Let me know if you have any questions.
I think this is the easiest one that I can try to build them for grandson

Can you do a video of the equipment you use for DIY projects (I.e., chainsaw, jig, pocket screwdriver, etc) and links to where you purchased the equipment?
I have a couple of videos on the channel about the miter saw and Kreg Jig. You can see all the links to my equipment here - www.anikasdiylife.com/tools-and-resources/
Really good
Wow amazing girl and amazing works
Thank you !
It is anazing and easy to do. Thx. What type of wood you used on the top of the table please.
Hi, the top is made of plywood.
very cool but unfortunately I dont have the Kreg jig (which is a very cool tool)
You could even use counter-sunk screws instead of pocket holes.
Definitely a good investment. It’s a very useful tool, especially if you plan on continuing woodworking.
Interesting project, roughly how much it costs to buy all these tools?
Wood cutter
Jigsaw
and other tools used
Very Nice
👍
Imma steal all my dad's tools and build this
Great work!
Thank you! Cheers!
Hi Anika! I am about to buy the plans for the convertible toddler table and chairs! Is it possible to see a video for that? Thanks!!
Brianna E I am sorry I don’t have a video for that yet.
@@Anikasdiylife is there a possibility for a future video featuring that plan!?
Brianna E yes. It is on the list of videos to make. Possibly in a month.
Hi anika,so happy that i found your channel i have been looking through your past projects so many great ideas so many vids for me to watch.I have liked and subscribed as it would have been so rude not to
sharp edges can be avoided with curved one. Just a suggestion. Other than that everything looks good.
I purchased the pattern and watch the video. I am unable to determine how far from the end of boards pocket holes go? I need to know how far from the end of each board pocket holes go what I mean is the table the apron, the chair pieces, etc. Thank you
Can you send an email to hello@anikasdiylife.com so we can help you better?
Hello, been having a challenging task to find "standard hinges". Do you have a recommendation? I purchased the plans and just got my lumber :-)
Do I have to have pocket holes? I’m only making the tables but I don’t have the pocket hole maker thingy.
No. You can use countersunk screws.
Great project. What wood did you use for the project. I tried with regular plywood but the wood just split everytime I put pocket holes. Did you use hdf or hard wood?
In this project, just the top is plywood, all the rest is pine. However, you shouldn’t have any issues with pocket holes in plywood. I have built other furniture using plywood. Check the settings on the jig and drill bit while making pocket holes. I have a lot of information on pocket holes on my website if you are interested.
😮🤯🤩
Haha glad you like it!
What size did you set your pocket hole jig to make the holes?
It is set to 3/4”
Very cool video. But wat if u didn’t have all those fancy electric tools.
Love u mame
You r o'sum
I am really wanting to make this. What is the average cost?
It's under $50 including the hinges.
once I buy digital plans, can I print them to bring to the shop
Yes. Absolutely!
Can you put the measurements for the table pls
Nice i m also carpenter
Oh nice
Good project, but dont need glue? Thanks..
Yes. You need wood flue and I used wood glue.
Thank you for these plans. How many in-lbs torque should the support hinges be?
Just found the calculation clicking on the "product description" link
Just seeing this. Let me know if you need anything else!
Can you make a bed table?
I actually have one on my website. www.anikasdiylife.com/diy-lap-desk-epoxy-resin/
👍️✨👍️
There is a major issue with the pocket holes here. They are not supposed to angle towards the edge of the wood. That makes them extremely unstable and likely to break through the wood. When lining up aprons towards the edge of legs like you are doing in this video, and drilling pocket holes that are angled towards that edge, the holding strength of the screws are significantly reduced. There are many great videos on this topic and I believe even Kreg addresses this issue quite thoroughly. Many people angle pocket holes the wrong way to try and hide the screws, but it’s very wrong.
how much,?
I ordered and paid for plans but have not received them. Could someone please follow up and send
Please email hello@anikasdiylife.com and we will get it resolved.
Good work ، but children products corners must be trimmed ، I'm not teaching u cox ur best ، take this as suggestion 🙃
Thanks for the feedback
Better you would have made ka simple drawer below the table
Price of instruments please?
Please check your local stores for that
I am 12 years old 😜
My mom not have a money 💰 to buy a study table 😁😁
na
me of hinges being used
Stodoys is nice for that.
What size are the pocket holes?
They are 3/4” - the same as the thickness of the material.
everything is great, but music drove me crazy 👿
3 tools 🛠 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️
are you indian?
Yes
With all those tools even my daugther could make it 🙄
Yes! Get her the tools and let her build it!! 💪💪💪
I counted more than 5 tools … pros project if you have all those tools not a beginners☹️
You can always take all the wood or buy all the wood at Home Depot and have them cut everything out for you and maybe even put the holes in there for you too then go home and screw everything in
It is not nice because the table was plain
AND you used machine
@@danireddypavani4046 I am not here to show you how to paint. I am here to show you the idea and how to make it. Also, you are welcome to use your hands and tools bt I have my machines and I like using them to save time and effort.
Big thank
Great job
