Omg your DIY desk is amazing. Your plan and step by step was 100 times better than all other videos. I have been looking for a good video and this one rocks. Iâm telling my wife to check out the channel so she will trust me to build our daughters desk
Thank you so much!!
Great job.. I like the natural wood/white contrast.
Wow, you're fantastic you make it seem so easy!!!
Thank you for that video!!!
I love this! Just discovered your channel and Iâm in love!
I like this design. The A frame and white with natural wood looks really nice.
Thank you!
Great design!
Really good video and lovely desk!
Wow. The desk looks awesome.
Thank you!
Parabéns!!! ficou uma peça muito bonita e pratica
Good job!
Okay, very good work, and nice design of desk. Oh okey que buen trabajo, y muy bonito diseño de escritorio. Muy profesional carpintera.
WOW GOOD JOB
The author does like to from scratch, czcams.com/users/postUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. As another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us donât have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we wonât be able to practise the full stack project, is still great.
Depends a lot on your location!
Iâve been perusing CZcams for a desk design for a small space and I found it! Thank you, this will work perfectly.
Yay! Have fun building!
Youâre amazing and inspirational! Thank you for sharing! Iâve been wanting to make something like this for my son and I now have the confidence to
You are so welcome! Happy building!
Awesome work Anika! đđđ»đđ»
Thank you Fred!
Uau!
Ficou muito lindo seu trabalho.... parabéns!
Vc tem grande habilidade.
Gracias!
Beautiful đđđ great design
Thank you! :)
You wood work easily and simply and this desk is modern and simple, most of all the color match is awesome.
Thank you so much! This was a fun project!
@@Anikasdiylife You're welcome. Take care
Picking up the plans and starting it tomorrow. Thanks for this.
Have fun!
@@Anikasdiylife Thanks. I'll finish it up this weekend (stain, painting, and installing drawers), but everything else went great.
great job
Thank you!
Loved the way it came out. I'm definitely incorporating this design to my desk.
Awesome! Thank you!
The only power tool I have is a drill but I'll still try to make this for my sister who needs a new desk.
I'm just starting to learn how to do diy projects like this and I just hope I can make accurate and clean cuts since all I have are a couple of handsaws.
Very good
Thanks
Wow amazing i like desk design, thank video, and good luck
Great video! That desk looks amazing!
Julia Vang Hart Thank you so much!

Great design an nicely done . A suggestion would be to use rigid insulation board when cutting large sheets. Makes it safer and also easier on the back
Good tip!
Here I am watching this, wishing I have the tools and the skills to do this.
It's a piece of cake! You can do it even with an old handsaw and some hand hammered nails. Never let budget be a restriction on your ambition.

Me too
Beautiful desk. Are the long supports under the desk and bottom cross bar also 10 degrees? Or 90? Thank you đ
I decided to go into carpentry because of your videos :)
The video started already onto the process of the project, and I felt like I had missed some steps at 8 seconds into this video. I have never done a DIY anything, this video is very intimidating though I Houghton it might be cute to use this technique for a light table.
Pre-drilling into the 2nd piece of wood can prevent cracking/splitting of wood.
You donât have to predrill with pocket holes.
hmm would love to make this without the drawers
@Anikaâs DIY Life I made a plywood desk and would like to have a smooth finish instead of seeing the grain. I considered covering it all in joint compound the way you did in this video. Has the joint compound held up nicely to this date? No cracking, etc...? Thanks
Yes. No issues at all! You really sand the joint compound down to the point where it is only filling the gaps in the grain - it will look like white embedded in the plywood.
Muito bonito manda pra mim as medidas em portuguĂȘs
Hi Anika, I would really like to see how you've rigged up your miter saw stand.
Thank you! Its a miter saw stand I bought from Home Depot! đ
I dont have tools to make pocket hole, can I just go with regular screw? Since, I am okay if the screw will be seen
I love this desk, and I'm thinking about building it! What are the dimensions? Thanks!
Check the plans in the description.

The link to plans is in the description
I bought your pattern and wonder about the special instructions for plywood you mention? I have all the cuts done now ( the easy partđ) and about to assemble
Westley Cary 3/4â plywood isnât really 3/4â thick. So you have to adjust for that. Check #7 in this article www.anikasdiylife.com/pocket-hole-tips-and-tricks/
Thank you! I found it there shortly after asking!đ Going together great so far. I did see that 2 1/2" pocket hole screws were used in the instructions but the only screw listed in the materials sheet were 1 1/4 phs. Is that a misprint?
Should I use 2 1/2" screws for the legs and base?
All done. I don't know how to post a finished pictuređ€·ââïž but my daughter loves it!!!
Good day!! MAM could share to me your DIY project study table the details measurements.. Thanks
Anika -- Questions regarding the 2Ă2 lumber: 1) Nominal size is 2Ă2 but actual size used on this desk is 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" . Please confirm. 2) What type of wood was used for the 2Ă2. Looks like a nice quality.
I really like the design and I did purchase your plan. Your response would be appreciated.
Thank you for purchasing the plans. Thatâs right. The actual dimension of the 2x2 is 1.5â x1.5â. I used select pine from Home Depot with nutmeg gel stain.
I canât wait to see your desk! Please share it when done. Let me know if you have any questions
I purchased the plan the other day and had a question. I donât remember where I seen it, but I remember seeing something about the wood you used were from Home Depot. Is that accurate?
Niki Franklin yes. The wood I used is from Home Depot
Is there anywhere that have a list of all tools you used for this project?
Dang Almost bought my wife a vanity table just like this but it was all MDF and they wanted a lot of money for it. Ended up buying a slightly cheaper MDF vanity LOL I shouldâve seen this first I wouldâve just built it
I just discovered you :) very nice products ideas. 4:58 are you plastering? What is this product?
Yes!! đwww.anikasdiylife.com/how-to-paint-plywood/
i have a question in youre projects...why dont you use wood glue with pocket hole screws?
I always use wood glue with pocket holes.
I bought a plan but I think the drawer fronts are misaligned
What size drawer slides did you use?
The details are in the plans
What grit sandpaper did you use to sand down the joint compound?
I used 220 grit.
@@Anikasdiylife Thanks
What is the cost in supplies to make this?
I would say about $100-$150 depending on where you live and what type of wood you choose.
Has anyone bought the plans yet?
No have you?
I did the other day. I have never built anything in my life. So we shall see how it turns out.
Yes. A lot of people have bought it and built it too. You can see the âreader projectsâ highlight on my Instagram profile for a couple of them.
That badass tool is basic?hmmm
Haha! Which badass tool?
@@Anikasdiylife the first one to cut wood. Those look like equipment for a person who sell their finished product to pottery barn.
The first one is just a miter saw. Its one of the most basic power tools.
Are you indian? Or from Bangladesh?
How does that matter?
I think they are just curious of ethnicity. I am the same way. No harm intended.
If you own power tools you probably know how to do it already:p
How is that a basic power tool?
So, what exactly counts as a basic power tool for you?
@@Anikasdiylife drill/bit driver combo, jigsaw, sander.... :)
Add up all the tools u used, no beginner has these
It's a miter saw, circular saw, drill and pocket hole jig. And a circular saw could do what a miter saw does. They are completely beginner tools. If you think a Kreg Jig is not a beginner tool, I would highly recommend looking into it. It will open up your world to building things easily! I have lots of resources on that if you are interested.
Anika's DIY Li. A kreg jig is over $140. A circular saw does not make accurate 10% cuts. I have tried. U have tools that would take the average person years to get.
Those are not basic tools, most people have a circular saw and a drill! Many of those tools are expensive
