- DIY this simple modern homeoffice desk or table with 1 sheet of plywood without a workshop and big power tools, using a circular saw, mitre saw, sander, electric drill. The dimension is 68(H) x 65(D) x 145(L) cm. This is a beginner and budget friendly build, it's my first time using the cirucular saw, so you can do it too!

Awesome stuff Melody! That outdoor table is the true VIP lol. Having that gap to cut down the plywood is so handy haha. Great job with the circular saw! The finished product is great!
Thank you so much! I know right 😄
Hyyy 🤝🤝🤝🤝🤝🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Yes, when she made that cut I was she just through the table but nope I was like well that's new to me🤣🤣
@@diplayball haha it's one of those extendable tables that open up to be bigger 😁
Awesome to see this quality work done without “fancy” equipment. Well done
Thank you Rich! Never ever thought we could built out own furniture, hope I manage to show what is possible without a workshop 🙂
Wonderful work !
The desk looks great! Cheers from Canada!!
Glad you liked it, thanks for stopping by 😀 Hi from the UK 👋
Amazing results! I love the design of this. Congrats.
Thank you Matthew! Glad you like it 😀
This is brilliant!
Thank you!
Oh I hadn't even thought of using an extending table for clearance. I just got a free second-hand extendable IKEA table and I'm converting it to a workbench. I can use this too for circular saw cutting. Great idea!
Yay! Glad you found it useful 😀 a happy coincidence but it's a good height to work too, without having to be on the ground
great job! Totally going to build this with my son. Thank you!
That's so great to hear! Thank you for watching and glad you liked it 🙂 feel free to DM me for any questions, I'd love to see your desk too!

Very nice design
Thank you Frank! 🙂
braw table, love it!
Glad you like it!
Awesome desk, Melody! I love how it came out. I love how you were able to pull off those tricky angles with only a circular and miter saw. Also, it's hard to believe this is your first video! The production quality is excellent! Can't wait to see more, new sub! - Joe
Thank you Joe! Glad you like it 😊 it definitely involved a bit of problem solving to get the job done but super fun! 😃 Thanks for the sub, I have a couple of videos since if you want to check them out 😁
Looking forward to more videos
Thank you so much 😃
Nice project! I do like playwood grain too. It's awesome!
Thnak you Suelen! Right? I like how there 2 very distinct textures and look from the top and grain 🙂

Thank you!
Love the design - I am going to do one myself for my new home office - thanks for the inspiration
You're very welcome!
Awesome desk. Great size. Look thick. Solid. Tight.
Thanks , solid enough for both of us to be sitting on it haha
Great video!!!
thank you! glad you liked it 🙂
Simple but very effective. I love plywood furniture.
Thank you Mark! Something about plywood, the contrast between the face and layered cross grain 😃
Great job. 👏 👏
Thank you 🙂
simple no compicated tools that's best for everyone to build. thanks
Right?! Glad you liked it 🙂
I've had this idea of making a table out of plywood rattling around in my head.......but I've never made one, basically have no woodworking skills....or tools.....so of course I jumped down the youtube rabbit hole at 2 am looking for someone to explain to me how I might still accomplish my project. And I found your video. I loved this video a lot! Not only did your improvised setup and 'tweaks' of the original plans to work with what you had, look EXACTLY like what I'll have to do, but you made some important points and callouts that are really going to help me. Thank you thank you thank you for making this video 💕
You are so very welcome! :) Not having the tools and experience, it does take a bit of problem solving, but with patience it works out :) So happy I was able to help! Good luck x
Awesome!
Thank you! :)
Simple, clean look, inexpensive and easy to make via your video. Thank you Melody
Glad it's helpful!
Good job. Brava complimenti
thank you Antonio!
Nice work! Cant wait to see more!
Thank you!I can't wait to share more 🙂 thank you for watching
I love it! Great job!!!!
Thank you! Glad you liked it 🙂
Ottimo lavoro! Bravissima e bellissima ❤
Grazie mille :)
Nice! High quality outcome without an expensive shop. Swap out excuses for ingenuity.
Thanks Sean! That's a lovely compliment 🙂
Fantastic work! The final design came together so well and your process was really inspiring seeing you work with basic tools
Thank you! :) gotta make it work with what I have :D
I like it!
Thank you! Glad you like it 🙂
Very nice! Congrats
Thank you! 😃
@@HomewithMelody You're welcome. Keep up the great work👌🏼
nice first video!! beautiful table!!
Thank you! Hope to see you round in future videos 🙂
Very nice job with no fancy tools.
Thank you!
really lovely table
Thank you Michael! Glad you like it 🙂
Excellent video.
Thank you 🙂
Keep going!
Will do 😁
Very nice. Keep it up.
Thank you! :)
Excelente proyecto!
Thank you, glad you liked it!
You are my new Hero! I love seeing other people figure out ways to do things when there are obstacles (not having all the tools) and modifing designs. I actually LOVE the legs on this, even better than the inspiration piece.
OHHHH!! FYI- I recently tried finishing a piece with a spray on lacker that comes in a spraycan. I saw it on czcams.com/video/oKwEp7C3R2s/video.html
I haven't tried the brand in the video yet ( I was impatient so I just got the Minwax version)
But WOW!!!! Girl, talk about a SUUUUPER EASY fast finishing process.
Not gonna lie, it's more expensive for larger projects. But for a flawless finish, that is so incredibly easy and quick to apply it's worth it in most cases. Check it out 😁
Thank you so much! Figuring things out is definitely one of the fun parts 😊Haha I like the legs too 😁
@@emilystubbs5650 oh I love Steve's videos! Haven't seen this one before, it does look super easy compare to the polyurethane approach! Have to try it out next time 🙌
Love this! 🥳
Thank you 😊 happy you liked it!
No such thing as overkill :) Great design and great first video!!
😉 thank you so much!
Muy bonito te quedo
Gracias 😃
Well done! Nice touch with the chamfer there. I like your use of minimal tools. Reminds me of when I was first getting started. As far as saws go, you can do a lot with just a circular saw and a jig saw. Good job!
Thank you Kyle, glad you liked it! 😃 I need to get a jig saw - had a terrible experience with a secondhand one as my first power saw, never touched one again 😆
That looks so good.
Thank you 🙂 Free plan in description if you want to build it 😁
Great design, and video! I love that this can be done with only a circular saw and a hand saw for the mitre cuts 😊
Thank you! And yes, you can do so much with just some basic tools. I even did my sofa with only a handsaw 😁
Just got some marine ply leftover after building a shower for a customer, I'm going to take inspiration from you and make something too.
Your work is excellent and with realistic tools. You should be extremely proud of yourself that desk is solid as a rock!
Thank you! Amazing what can be done with some basic tools :D All the best for your build!
I love it
Thank you 😀
Great job! I love that you work on the floor instead of a bench. I do that also.
Thank you! Yay to back aching work on the floor 😄 gotta make do
Awesome job and great effort!
Thank you! :)
I am very impressed with your creative use of minimal tools. Well done.
Thank you! More tools would definitely have saved some time, but I had fun problem solving with the tools I have 😁
All things considered (especially your measuring tape) this is truly amazing.....!
Thanks! Haha I now have a proper measuring tape as seen in my latest video 😄
Your content is amazing
Thank you so much! Happy you like them 😃
Great job Melody. The desk is simple yet pleasant to look at. I shared your video with my son to build when he returns to college. Keep it up.
Good luck!
Great job!
Thank you!
Hey, really nice video format! Keep up the great work 👌🏼
Thank you! Glad you liked it 😀 I have a couple more uploads if you want to check them out 😁
Well done. Not sure what is more impressive, the design, the execution, the videography, the fact that you didn’t need a $15,000 USD router or a $1,000 USD track saw.
Thank you very much for your kind words! Hope it's useful for those without the fancy tools 💪
Really nice adaptation of the design. The split legs add a unique touch and solidify the structure. I also appreciate how you sparingly glued to salvage more of the off cuts. The Four Eyes reference was awesome!
Thank you Mike! The split leg was a necessary workaround to the tools I have but so happy to have worked out nice design too 😄 gotta save those off cuts 😁 thanks for watching and hope to see you around for future videos!
Using the plies as a decorative design feature, instead of covering them up with face tape, was a really nice touch also.
@@worldcitizenra thank you Richard! The ply edge grains are so nice 🙂
Espectacular 👍🏼👍🏼
Gracias! 😃
well done! just goes to show that you don't need a whole shop full of fancy tools to build a nice project. can't wait to see what else you have in store. new sub! cheers!
Thank you Randy! Glad you liked it :) See you in future videos :D
I love you r woodcraft
you're truly woman with creation
thank you! 🙂 it's a joy to create ☺️
Damn... quite a way to start a channel. Awesome content, awesome quality of video, editing, etc. Great job!
Thanks Carlos! 😀 There's a couple more videos since if you want to check them out 😄
The desk came out great. I think us makers/builders have all done the pocket holes on the wrong side at least once! There is something so attractive about a clean minimalist design and I love the contrasting look the large expanses of the stark white birch wood set off by the contrasting dark lines of the edges. I can’t wait to see more from you!
Haha good to know I'm not the only one putting pocket holes on the wrong side 😄 thank you! I haven't been turned back ever seen I came across birch plywood, like you said, the contrast is so nice ☺️
I think the pocket holes like that is actually genius.
@@juiceswoodworkingdesign9092 haha yeah it works quite nicely given that the desk is against a wall. I guess it would be more of an issue if I moved this to the middle of a room
I would love to see more of your videos 😻
You're too kind! 😁 New video just out 😉
Good Job
thank you 🙂
Great desk! Will try it out myself :). I just started woodworking as a hobby (I'm assembling my shed ad the moment). My "day job" is game dev, so I spend most of my time in front of various screens, so being able to do something manually is quite refreshing.
Thank you! 🙂 I know what you mean, I started this last summer, , it is very therapeutic 😊 designing and planning and building 👍🏻
