    331 devices have struck #Israel from #Iran, Iraq, Libya, Syria and Yemen. The attack, dubbed Operation "True Promise" by Iranian forces, was the largest attack on Israel by another sovereign country in the last 50 years. Of course, this leaves us with a few questions: what are the consequences of this attack, what exactly could be Israel's response now, and could it really have been, as suggested in some media, an attack somehow agreed between the Iranian government and the Hebrew government?

    💥 No worries, the Third World War isn't starting today, nor is a new conflict in the Middle East. Based on the information we have right now, Israel has ultimately chosen a "cosmetic" response to what was also a "cosmetic" attack by Iran against Israel last Saturday, April 13th. It seems that the Israeli retaliation-which some unconfirmed sources say might have involved drones launched from within Iran itself-focused mainly on non-strategic Iranian targets, specifically an air force base in the Isfahan region where outdated F-14 Tomcats are operational.
    These targets are relatively close to some of the leading facilities of Iran's nuclear program, which is why the operation is being interpreted as both a warning to Tehran and a way to test Iranian defenses. It's not the first time Israel has carried out low-intensity attack operations in the country of the ayatollahs, and, certainly in this case, if what we know so far holds, the retaliation seems designed to prevent any escalation, allowing both Netanyahu and the Iranian regime to save face domestically.
    In any case, beyond the symbolic nature of this action, the Israeli retaliation is mainly being carried out in third countries, as we've warned before on VisualPolitik. But why is Israel being so restrained? We explain the reasons in this video.

      "Cosmetic response"? You mean a "show of force"? WTF does Israel get off doing that anyway? Iran's harmless show-of-force was a response to Israel's ATTACK that actually killed people. Israel was NOT entitled to "revenge". Now Iran HAS to respond again and actually do a lot of damage to try to re-balance the scales, but Netanyaju is just a Jewish Austrian Charlie Chaplin and will "retaliate" again. He's not interested in keeping a balance, he's interested in "winning". 😠

      Totally ignoring the fact that Israel has always been the aggressor in the Mideast. That was long before, in the 1920s. When the British left in 1947. the original well armed anti-Semites killed and drove the surviving indigenous Semitic people, i.e., "Palestinians," out of their homes and villages and off their lands into the Gaza Strip. That holocaust was the 1947 Nakba. Long before these terrorists got the Truman regime to "recognize" that stolen lands as the "state" of "Israel" in 1948 they had been regularly killing and terrorizing both British and the people whose lands they wanted to seize. This evil intent is why David Ben Gurion resigned as prime minster to arrange the assassination of JFK in retaliation to JFKs insistence the Israelis submit to UN inspection of their plutonium producing reactors at Dimona and the resultin 400 nuclear weapons Israel now has to threaten the world.

    How is this even a question??? Israel is unilaterally escalating with the bombing of the embassy, which is a classic terrorist move.
    Iran's response to the embassy attack was small, broadcast ahead of time to allow israel to prepare air defenses, and was less than proportional. Shaheed drones have literally been taken down by small arms fire. This was clearly a face saving measure for a domestic audience.

    • @lennyshalmer7309

    • @dudesmith2473
      @dudesmith2473 Před 20 dny

      If Iran’s response was “small”, please name any larger attacks that exceeded over 100 ballistic missiles plus 30 cruise missiles and 80 drones over a time span of 5 hours. For perspective, it was far larger than any other attack in recent memory (30+ years) and far more than the US launched during the first day of the Irak war. If it wasn’t for Israel’s air defenses (which are uniquely capable of destroying ballistic missiles in space before they reenter the atmosphere) and the support of its allies the civilian life loss and infrastructure destruction would have been devastating. It’s widely understood that just the defensive missiles launched to destroy the incoming missiles cost Israel in excess of 1.2 billion. No small number either.
      Destroying a building disguised as a consulate building but used as a military command center were senior generals were planning their next attacks to Israel with Iranian proxy’s (most terrorist organizations themselves) is not terrorism. Prove is not a single civilian died in the attack. If this was a diplomatic building as you claim, one has to wonder why no diplomats or civilians were killed or injured when the building was destroyed as a result of the attack.
      BTW, Argentina just declared Iran a terrorist state for the bombing Israel’s embassy killing 29 diplomats and civilians in 1992 (after years of delays resulting from payoffs to corrupt local authorities and the assassination of the lead investigator assigned to the case). Never mind the assault of the American Embassy in Teheran and hostage taking of diplomatic personnel in 1979.

We are talking heavy, repeated use, bunker busters. Without US B2’s dropping MOAB’s they are down to conventional options.

      Iran and its paramilitary branches Hamas and Hezbollah have been attacking Israelis and US embassies for decades - against the Geneva convention but with no consequences and very little reprisals from US or Israel. Iran and Hezbollah were running war strategies from their embassies, something the Geneva convention expressly points out removes diplomatic immunity from that embassy and makes a valid military target
