I used this tool and it does what it suppose to do but I always clamp it down to ensure a firm grip.Using a level is useless unless the cabinet itself is level so this tool uses the face of the cabinet as a guide.More handy than the Kreg version.I add some earth magnets to it though because the slide clamp isn't that tight.
Seems like an big oversight that functionality wasn't built in for it to be spun around 180 and used to support the drawer while attaching the rails like you can with the Rockler Drawer Installation Brackets Item #51613.

For soft-close slides like KV8450 and others the rail must be aligned perfectly on the box and set at the exact same height from the bottom on both sides of the box or it will not operate and this tool does not help with that. I made a jig to assist with the drawer box rail. Also this jig only works on euro cabinets not face frame.
I was puzzled by the same issue. Glad you had raised it. All glory is about installing the slides on to the cabinet. No time is spent on showing how to install the drawer and that is 50% of the performance.
I have been considering purchasing this product to take on site for smaller projects I was wondering if anyone (Not rockler sales reps) can give feedback if they have used it on site. Not sure if its worth the expense
Great! Now, how do I build a drawer to fit in the correct spot? Then, or how should I design the drawer and take into fact where to put the drawer slide? Got a video on that? If so, put a link here. Would greatly help. Thx

They don't show the mounting of the rail to the draw itself.

Rats! I have 22 more drawer slides to convert to KV 8450 soft close, but they are all on face frames. I don't see how this would help with those.

Ya I noticed the kreg clamp being used at 1:24 too. Should have found some 200 mph tape to cover the competition's name . Just sayin lol

What if you want to install on the bottom? The handle won't let you put it all the way down.
You could put something under the cabinet to lift it up high enough to have clearance.

It works only with European style cabinets, but it's useless with face frame cabinets which 95 % of cabinets here in the US. are.

Can you adjust how set back the slides are?
Yes. You're going to have to mark the inset and put the front of your runner on that line. A little more work, but still easierthan the alternatives.
Does it work for both right and left or you have to buy one left and one right?

None of these jigs work for remodels. You don't have an outside edge to clamp to.

Purchased that tool and it was quite costly. Complete waste of money; in the end I made spacers.

Though if there is no room inside the cabinet beneath the drawer, the Kreg version won't work for you.

The Jig only solves half of the job, to do the other just pick your nose. Will call this the Half-Jig.
