A small note, but I would not recommend that you build the growth building with Belakor. Instead you get the Nurgle boon that gives growth in all provinces per won battle. That way you still grow very fast and you have a free building slot that you can use to get exalted heroes, which can then be converted to exalted heroes of nurgle for the healing ability. But who are you going to fight regularly, every single turn? You have a Tzeentch faction next door and every time you clobber him, you get another portal token.
Additionally, I would suggest initially sending your starting hero north, dropping a portal, and converting Sigvald to your cause. And then swinging west to grab Valkya. This provides multiple fortresses, multiple legendary lords, a lot of vassals, and it gives you a safe corner while also letting you kick the legs out from underneath the DE before they grow big enough to be annoying. And while you're up in the north-west corner, you can feasibly send someone through a sea lane down south to find Yuan Bo and then drop a portal in his back yard. Because why wouldn't you want to farm his defeat trait? The scribes at high levels, combined with that defeat trait, are positively insane.
But those are just my thoughts. Belakor's campaign is so ridiculously powerful that almost anything will work reasonably well.
By far my favourite campaign. I just wish it was a bit harder sometimes? My favourite trick is to drop portals more or less on cooldown (and researching to make said CD faster), that way you can defend a huge area with very few armies. They also help for recruitment. Recruit lord -> recruit in said province -> move to portal -> bounce from portal to portal and recruit in all of them, on the same turn. end wherever you want to campaign from.
Best part is the flexibility. norsca or the northern wastes are the most obvious with lots of dark fortresses, but i have had some hugely fun ones where i went directly to mordheim and the south as well. When you want to move you theatre of war to a different area, send a single lord/army ahead, pop a dark portal there, and move your other armies there via your existing portal network.
The recruit trick is, for me, what makes Belakor so powerful. You can start an army and on the next turn, have an entire army of aspiring champions and knights of tzeench

Also fun! The only ability of his I dislike is the Nurgle one, stoll think that should do something a bit different.
