- Thanks for watching!
In this video I show how to repair a hybrid trailer bunk end for only $200! That's way cheaper then bringing it to an rv repair centre.

Watching you work is great. You really showed all the steps and enjoy what you do!
This was the most helpful of all the Hybrid repair videos. An add for folks- the bottom of our friend's pop-out part was totally rotted out. The aluminum tubes have wood in them. It took us three days to get the rot out. (It was bigger than this one.) It was a mess. Suggest for this job- tie down tarps over the RV. We waited till there was no rain in the forecast- but you never know what you're going to run into, and we had rain. Also- plan ahead with all the adhesives. Wes is using the right ones, but they are not all available at the big box store and Amazon is expensive becasue they're specialty items. Order early. Good job!!
Thank you!
Good job! 👍🏻
Very clever strategies!
Thanks!
Great job & terrific repair Wes! 👍👍👏👏
Thank you!
Really well done video. We have a 2006 Rockwood Roo hybrid that needs all 3 bunks redone. The front bunk is the worst, the middle joist (for lack of a better term) has corroded and broken. I will probably have to have someone weld me up a whole new frame. The side and back bunks are more like what you have here, so rebuilding them should be a similar process. One of the most helpful parts was the types of adhesives you used to glue the various layers together. I also wonder if giving the filon outer skin a good soak and letting it sit overnight would have loosened that last thin layer of wood.
@@RandomGuyDan thanks! If I ever have to do another one I will try soaking it in water.
Good job. I liked your remount process
Thanks! when working by yourself you have to get creative.
Could you have used Weld bond instead of construction adhesive on the first panel?
Awesome job Wes!!!!
Thank you!
I have seen others use contact cement and say it didnt hold. Did yours hold using that 3m high heat over time?
What is the hard boad material you are using ? Is it rated for water exposure?
its not rated for water exposure. but.. water should never be in contact with it if I did my job right.
