- Hello beautiful people,
In today's vlog, I'm back at my parent's house in Bamenda. I grew up in Bamenda and this vlog shows a bit of life in Bamenda and how homey and welcoming Bamenda can be. Bamenda offers a lot in terms of food, landscape and culture. It's my hometown.

The City is extremely beautiful during the rainy season
home sweet home
Bamenda vlogs never fail to bring me both joy and sadness at the same time. I always appreciate it tho, and allow myself to flow with the feelings!
I know exactly what you mean ❤️❤️
I miss bamenda🥹 Hell, I miss Cameroon so much already😩 I’ve not been able to visit bamenda since the crisis. My parents won’t let me. And now it’ll be years again before I get to visit.
Groundnuts🥹 this was my best groundnuts season, I ate so much groundnuts this year.
Also, what we call koki beans is apparently the sole type of beans Nigerians and some other west African countries know. Black and red beans are not common to them, like they are to us.
This was a very lovely video with intense nostalgic moments. I love my country so much. Despite the country’s flaws and mismanagement, I am forever proud to be a Cameroonian. One of only 2 bilingual countries in French and English with a 😮great variety of delicious cuisine.
Africa in miniature indeed!
Many of our people based in the diaspora still visit Bamenda. Some of them even multiple times a year. There's no need to be so scared. Things are not as bad as we sometimes make them out to be. Love from Bamenda. ❤🇨🇲
Thank you Bleshy. I'm glad this video was able to give u a little taste of Bamenda again. If you do decide to visit again, I think the key is just to not stay out after dark. Go out during the day and not at night.
I love what @Dearly_beloved79 said.
Anyway, take care and thank you so much for watching the videos.
Excellent quality video and narrative. Your narrative is on point, and you've kept the content interesting throughout. Your video reminds me of how much I miss Bamenda. A lot. Keep up the quality work! Wish you the best for 2024! Bamenda, our unforgettable and dear hometown!
This documentary is so beautiful the background music is so touching and enticing
Aww thank you. Just wanted to make something nice for my hometown.
Wonderful vlog!! Top quality stuff. Bamendians needed a channel like yours🙌🏿 You have yourself a new sub🫶🏿
Thanks a million ✨✨
The nostalgia that just hit me urgggghhhh😢
My lover is from Cameroon, watching this vlogs help me feel close to him
Awww I'm so happy these videos could help with that. That's why I make 'em.
I always love the bamenda vlogs
I'm always happy to film in the hometown ✨✨
The plums are called “pear” in Nigeria and “ube” in the Igbo region of Nigeria. I miss it.
We usually have it with corn😊😊
Thanks for the this! I have heard ‘pear’ from Naija CZcamsrs before so it’s amazing to know that we have the same thing here but just with a different name. Omgggg I love Africa
We have it with corn tooooo. Either roast or boiled.
We also have it with cassava. With cassava, it's a WHOLE MEAL, don't play, lol😂
Lately, my friend Angela, also introduced me to plums and sweet bread, and oh boy! It is one good match! 😁
I just got carried away talking about plums, I forgot to say Hi😂...Hi Uche!😊
@@mutomboinprogress Yeah, what we call plums is what the call pear, and what we call pear(l’avocat) is what they call avocado😅
Great job 👏
I'm glad you enjoyed it! Cheers! xx
Gosh, Perose! Thank you kindly, I was really anticipating this vlog about Bamenda. It takes me back down memory lane…and Finally you did it! I miss abakwa so, so much. All my childhood in Bamenda, you can imagine what that means to me…I’m really getting emotional…HOME SWEET HOME.
The thing with Bamenda is that despite everything she has been through, the people remain the most polite and friendly people ever. It’s always a reminder when I go back home. Resilience.
I’m happy this video took you back, that was the exact intention and purpose behind this Bamenda vlog. I especially had in mind those who were out of the country and couldn’t visit Bda as frequently.
Thanks Karl. I appreciate the constant support.
Can I have your email via mutombo.visuals@outlook.com? (Please write via email so I get it there and not here)

Oh Main Market was my second home … literally missing home 😢… Such a lovely video
Hello, we eat something that is made in banana leaves and looks like your koki in Barbados. It is made with cornmeal, coconut and pumpkin. We call it conkie. It is pronounced same as koki.
Cornmeal, coconut... Omg that sound delicious!! (Excluded the pumpkin but I'm sure that's what gives it the yellow colour 😂😂).
Omg I'm so pleased to see that you watch these videos all the way from the Carribeans 💕✨. Would love to visit some day. Take care xx

How do you people cope with all the cold in Bamenda plus raining season ha. I came during the dry season cold want loss my life😂
😂😂😂😂 to be honest, I sometimes feel like the morning cold during the dry season is worse than the morning cold during the rainy season. 🥶🥶
Mutombo is a common name in the DRC, what tribe of Cameroon are you?
Hiii I am Bafanji. It's a Bantu tribe. I think all of Central Africa is Bantu
@@mutomboinprogress Thanks for your prompt response. I am going to research about your people the Bafanji. I am from Kenya myself from the Iteso found in Kenya and Uganda, a Nilotic group. I like learning about other communities of Africa. Thanks again
Abeg buy me that kinky hair ooo😅
not me reading this now 🥺
@@mutomboinprogress 🤣😂😂😂😂no worry u
Is screaming "chance chance chance" a way of luring customers?😅
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 it's a way of telling people *to shift so that he can pass. Especially since the isles of these markets are crowded. 'Give me a chance to pass'. Now that I think about it, the entire scenario is so funny.
@@mutomboinprogress oh okay 😁 It is 😅
Why are you disturbing this your hair too much na today you shave tomorrow your plate 😊
😂😂
