Just bought this mk3 Focus (petrol, manual) This noise appeared when pulling away in first gear. Doesn't seem to do it when engine is cold. Happens mainly on inclines. Any one had similar issues? Thank you.
My Mondeo 65 plate 49kmiles started doing it about 10k miles ago and now it’s almost always doing it when on even a slight incline. The solution is a clutch replacement as Ford used awful materials on their factory clutches around these years. Rivots scraping the flywheel.
My wifes car is the same. Clutch plate is the problem but its only a noise. Most likely dust build up and sometimes it can take 20k miles to burn it off or change clutch
Hi there 😀 Thanks for your message My 1.5 Ecoboost has just come back from its third garage visit!!! Non genuine Ford parts used twice before they don't work!!!!! Just had a genuine Ford Clutch kit fitted it seems OK at the moment 🤔🤔 I thought it was clutch release bearing ??? Not had a straight answer as to what causes the very common clutch whoop issue???!!!! Luckily I have a very comprehensive used car warranty supplied when I bought the car end February this year. I've certainly had my moneys worth so far 😅😅😅 Hope this helps you somewhat. Kindest regards, Stephen 🤓

Oddly enough my '17 2.0 auto powershift makes this exact sound randomly. Usually when it's about 90-100 degrees as it goes between 1st-2nd gear?!
