Kakashi carrying Naruto and saying "he's gotten heavy" is a callback to the fight at Final Valley where he carried and Naruto and said "he's so light". Naruto has not only gotten physically bigger/heavier but he also now carries the weight of others, including Nagato and his dream for peace.
damn, i didn't realize that
Beautiful my friendđđ
Wow mr obvious. We know this noob
Wow thank you bro! Now i realised that!đź
Naruto anime is not just an anime.
*Devi crying her eyes out as they lift naruto*

@@itzben499 all i am doing is waiting for her reaction to might guy fights!!đ
The one small detail I found interesting is: when Nagato, Minato, and Naruto read the novel they all imagine the protagonist to dress like themselves (leaf ninja or former akatsuki robes). The rogue ninja dresses according to their own fantasized enemy, so for Nagato the rogue is wearing leaf ninja vest because they traumatized his childhood.
i think it is the versions of the books first it was jiraya then nagato then minato
@@nejihiashi what this doesnât make sense. Itâs only one book. Op is right
@@nejihiashi no its just them mentally putting thenself as the main character in that book.
This arc is where Narutoâs goals shift. He wants to be Hokage and that never changes, but he wanted it for a reason. Because of Nagato, the reason behind that has now changed. He used to want to become Hokage so everyone would acknowledge him and treat him well, but now he wants to do it so that he can help bring peace to the shinobi world. It just so happens that he achieved his original desire at this same time.
in a sense Naruto achieved his dream of being recognized and respected by giving it up. By fully embracing the quest for peace and ending hatred and surrendering his self to it. Its interesting and not often commented upon, that in resurrecting the Leaf citizens, Nagato moved past the pain of the Leafnin killing his parents.
@@thtadthtshldntbe agreed . Nagato bringing back the leaf ninjas is a fantastic end for his character and this arc . As the giant sage said , this choice made him a child of prophecy too . How ? Cause exactly like naruto who forgave him as his first step toward peace and against hatred , nagato too took his first step by reviving the leaf who he hated . Our choices desides our fate . Love these golden meaning in naruto đ„â€đŻ
Naruto attained a state where that would have been more acknowledged and popular than even the hokage after stopping Pain. His main goal was to attain that recognition and he assumed that the best way to get that respect was to become the hokage. If Pain had not made him realize about peace, Naruto would have gone on to become the hokage considering it just as just another ninja achievement than fixing the goal of establishing peace.
Thatâs why this is the greatest episode of naruto because naruto already achieved his true dream and aspirations here i am not kidding when i say if sd ended here people would still be happy the hero of the leaf will forever be my favourite episode in all animes ever
Also that's why Itachi tells him "only those who are acknowledged become hokage"
I think it's brilliant that they never showed how the villagers' opinions were slowly changing, and it was all revealed in this climactic victory homecoming.
Fr
It was done presumably because some reader or viewer may be like, ya well if the citizens knew where Naruto was while their lives was at stake, they would just rat on Naruto
Since they all dk, so it was assumed they all guarding Naruto
The 4th hokage, Nagato and Naruto all put themselves in the place of the character and really believed what the character said. Jiraiya inspired many with that one scene
Honestly one of my favorite scenes in the Naruto series. Seeing the recognition of what Naruto has done and hearing the villagers change as time passed. This is the scene i come back to in order to get my spirits lifted up
Nagato whole story is sad. How someone with good intentions can become twisted because of circumstances beyond their control.
Even every single his life is sad
Isn't that almost every villain in Naruto though đ ... except for Orochimaru
@NewAcc WhoDis tobi literally had reasons of his own for hating the shinobi world, and he was always devoted to helping others, but that devotion became twisted as he found a purpose in Project Tsuki no me. He still genuinely wanted to bring peace to the world, even though it was much more messed up in a different way.
@NewAcc WhoDis should put spoiler warning just in case you know
@@brownshawarmaofficial6803 even orochimaru's story is sad because he became the way he was when his parents died as he was young
For the first time Deviâs tears are not sadness but pride, one of my favorite episode of the whole show â€ïž

Thanks for watching Friendly Sounds!! :)
11 years ago, I read this part in comic books. 3rd Hokage...4th Hokage. There is a hero in front of me. These two lines moved me so much.
*manga
Rinne Rebirth is rather infamous because it undoes the majority of the consequences of Nagato's actions. *For me*, the Pain Arc still works because Naruto stopped fighting before he realized that Nagato could revive everyone. To Naruto, his teachers' deaths were permanent. That's the most important thing: the ability to relinquish one's hatred even when the wounds caused by one's enemies can't be healed. Naruto had to end the cycle of hatred for Nagato to regain the faith necessary to make amends. If Naruto already knew about Rinne Rebirth, Nagato would never have regained faith since one of Nagato's main points is that people cannot give up their hatred, and Naruto proved Nagato wrong. On a more meta level, it needed to happen because the Leaf suffering this much damage would have kickstarted the 4th Shinobi World War, and it would have been curbstomped by its enemies. The Shinobi World would then absolutely lose to Madara. There's no way Kishimoto could let that happen, so he needed some way to undo the damage. Rinne Rebirth makes sense within the context of the story, has major narrative implications down the line, sets up a ton of Madara's later revealed plans, and even helps explain why Nagato was considered a god. People dislike it because it's the "Great Reset no Jutsu," but even at worst, I'd consider it a necessary evil. I actually think it works very well.
A lot of people find Naruto unrealistic and want him to kill his enemies. I think it's fairly obvious these people completely miss the message of the entire story. That's probably one of the main reasons Kishimoto included the lines about Naruto not changing (besides the fact that this conversation was absolutely key to changing Nagato's mind). If Naruto stopped striving for his goals and stopped keeping hold to his principles, then he wouldn't be Naruto. That would be disrespect to all those who have placed their hopes on him: his parents and Jiraiya for starters. No, Naruto may change and grow, and he absolutely did from this arc and many previous ones (Can you even compare the brat at the beginning of the series to this hero now? His character development is incredible), but Naruto, at his core, will not change. He will become Hokage, and he will find his own Nindo. He will achieve his goals even if those goals have increased. This is when Naruto has finally reached his end goal since he's already gotten what he's always wanted: the people of the Leaf's respect, and he earned it through his actions throughout the story. He now has a new goal: to bring peace to the world because it's no longer about him and his surroundings. Naruto's outlook has expanded to the entire world itself, and I think it's a beautiful evolution for his character.
I think you guys see why everyone loves the Pain Arc. Even with some controversial parts, it remains an incredibly well-done arc that tackles so many real-world issues: the cycle of hatred, the consequences of war on civilians and weak border countries, and nuclear deterreance. Naruto the character has reached his zenith and accomplished one of his main goals. Pain is an absolutely fantastic villain, arguably the best Shonen villain ever. The fights themselves were utterly fantastic with some of the greatest spectacles and tactics we've seen in Naruto so far.
Beautiful & Insightful comment âșïžđ
yes thank you for pointing out exactly what is portrayed. im glad we all understand it the same ;)
Kiba: He is our classmate you know..
Shino: Yeah, but he really outclassed us...
đđđđđ
Oof !
Just a fun fact, Nagato didnt kill Hinata out of respect for her standing up against all odds to protect someone she loves. Thats so much respect to Nagato. Not a lot of people noticed. Nagato couldve easily killed her but he let her live
33:01 devi looks like a proud mom of naruto hehe
dont forget, Amaterasu doesn't work on Pain cuz he has Rinnegan and it can repel or absorb any jutsu, and Naruto wouldn't have won if he didn't go berserk with nine tales mode so Nagato is a lot stronger than Sasuke, at least at this moment.
like the shift in how the village perceived Naruto. it started off as 'that kid' or 'fox brat'. then it slowly evolved into his actual name.
Look at Naruto... a true hero now :')
My second favorite episode of all Naruto is this.
My favorite is the 329, you will see đ
Same here
this episode always reminds me of a great author from the 19th century who wrote a book for his countrymen which forever change their country's destiny. His book literally started a revolution.
Who?
@@jaideepshekhar4621 noli me tangere and el filibusterismo by josé rizal from the philippines
50:30 naruto also ended the cycle on his part. thats part of the reason nagato was also convinced, because he was facing the object of his vendetta yet, he didnt kill them. thats opposite of how nagato turned out as he took his path of killing, and naruto didnt.
I guess watching naruto growing up like that from the og is too similar to see your son or your nephew growing up so high and make you so proud even though i don't have one đ đđ
In my case it was like seeing my past self who thought to be a failure, been able to overcome my flaws, fears, obstacles and becoming a better man while at the same time being acknowledged by all people around me. Like becoming proud of someone who shared similar pain and struggles to mine. Rewatching this series with Jackie and Devi is making me cry so much because I am getting reminded of how much this series meant to me and how much it was important to my younger life. Gosh, I forgot how much I loved this series, the final saga/arc kind of ruined my love for the series
We got Devi really good because we knew Kakashi was coming back
Good work figuring out that Nagato have been consumed by pain all this time and forgot the kind soul he was
I've watched a lot of reactions and I thought the same thing they both commented how Nagato forgot all the good times. And your comment is legend too, he was a kind soul.... F âïžđ
2 of my favorite episodes in the series, I love naruto's conversation with Konan so much
NARUGOATTTTT nah fr i loved this arc so much god damn. revolves around jiraiya naruto n nagato. my 3 fav characters in the franchise lol. btw narutos new goal is to break the cycle of hatred. that's the responsibility on his shoulders now.
this show is just insane !!
They are lucky that Nagato was crippled. Healthy one would have finished hidden lead and captured nine tails in span of few minutes if not seconds.
The only reason Naruto didn't stray from the path and didn't turn out like Nagato was because he had Iruka, Kakashi and others who constantly supported him and gave him a sense of peace. He was able to stay on the right path because of the bonds that he created on the way. Otherwise he would've turned out just like Nagato.
I cried my dang eyes out when I first saw them all talking about Naruto through the years. I loved how they kept it until this moment to show that they were rooting for him for a long time and it felt nostalgic đ
This Arc is undoubtedly one pf Naruto's Biggest Character Development. It's the Realistic and Idealistic Nature of this Arc that really made it GreatđŻ
If this had been the last episode of Naruto Shippuden, I wouldn't have complained đ
Me too LMFAO Although the following arc/saga is not that bad either. Let's not talk about the final saga/arc, it's not worth it. At least to me it isn't.
Jackie's comment on what if they lost an arm etc. That part was hilarious but it also got me thinking..... what if someone was still under a heavy building/rock and got revived and just ended up dying again đ
If Shikaku hadn't decided on letting Naruto go and instead went there to give the killing blow on Nagato, they would've just gotten their revenge, Konan probably would've gotten away to plan on revenge and all those villagers, Kakashi and shizune would still be dead
Shikaku's choice of letting Naruto go do the talk-no-jutsu changed a lot of things and possibly future things
Of course if Nagato had not been able to revive all the villagers, but his ability to rethink his former actions due to Naruto being able to understand him might have otherwise made Nagato and Konan a great friend to try to fulfill their dreams
Damn Jackie !! Stop being so smart, you're brain will spoil the anime for you đđ
Achievement Unlocked: The Greatest Hero of the Leaf đđđ
Whenever Tsunade worries about Naruto you gotta know it's 100% genuine.
He's the reason she's basically Ninja President
and after Nagato brought everyone back Naruto's also the ultimate job security too.
If the kid responsible for making me ninja president and saving my bacon when the S hits the fan is ever not in my immediate line of vision I'll be stressing.
Naruto, NAGoATO, jiraiya carried this fucking masterpiece arc, one of the best arc in anime history
Jirayaâs novel really exist you can buy it đ„
I love how they had conveniently send Guy outside village on a mission. Real MVP of Naruto :D
actually the hero's name in that book is naruto because naruto is a part of ramen dish when jiraiya eat it and decide naruto to be the hero's name. and since minato read that book, he inspired to give his child the same name from the book when kushina pregnant
RIP TO THE GOAT VILLAIN OF ANIME HISTORY!!
PAIN :)
Ps: My first time getting a heart yayđđ
i don't know if this is true or not but in my head canon it was allways nagato's name that sort of gave "birth" to the name naruto, since naruto is the name of the hero in the book i always thought that jiraya wrote it as nagato being the promised child/hero but simply used a slightly altered name
Well, sorta. Itâs quite possible that influenced his decision, but you can also see him choose the name @ 5:15. The swirly food in his bowl is called naruto. But yes, the names are similar, and he may well have chosen that because it sounds like Nagato.
If you're talking about where jiraya got the name from I think it's the name of the ramen topping with the whirlpool on it or just the word whirlpool . you can see it in 5:13
YEEEEEEEEEEEES! I LOVE LOVE LOVE HOW YOU UNDERSTAND ALL THE SITUATION WITH NAGATO AND NARUTO, AND HOW NAGATO CHANGED SO HE'S NO LONGER THE SAME CHARACTER SO INSTEAD HE SEES NARUTO AND DECIDES TO BELIEVE IN HIM. THE POWER TO BELIEVE AS TSUNADE SAID
Thanks for watching Marco!! :)
So many people had problems with the conclusion with Nagato and I understood where they were coming from. But rewatching it now in anime form with Jackie and Devi made me realize how that conclusion was not really that bad at all and it makes so much more sense to me now. I even cried rewatching it now
âIt feels like someone set it upâ kinda weird to think about now
Something that's very underrated imo is that Kakashi got revived and instantly dipped Konaha to go help Naruto.
The Gedo Art of Rinne Rebirth Justsu it repairs also the body, as you saw with the pain taken down by Kakashi, that was like broken down to pieces, and just came out of the invocation and was fully repaired.
Great putting this together! I heard his comment and just laughed. đI was like one who "had no answer" and so now I willingly "allow myself to get captured for the peace you'll create". đ
It's crazy how Naruto and Nagato are cousins and they don't even realize it
Nagato whole story is a tragedy. How someone with good intentions can become twisted because of circumstances beyond their control.
Been a while since I watched Pain arc and episode 175. Watching it again and listening to you guys revitalize so much spirit in my own fight too in my life. Naruto is an amazing story.
I like Konan so much.but it's so sad :'
when Nagato Using "Gedo Art Rinne Rebirth", it's also the metamorph of Nagato Rebirth.
if naruto ended here it would been enough for me pain arc is the probably one of the best arcs not just in naruto but in all anime
Very Heartfelt episode at the end. The quote hard work pays off speaks volumes. I also love how they tied kakashiâs finding the answer on why his father did abandoned the mission. So in a way Obito gave Kakashi the answer he needed.
Best Naruto end of episode!

This arc is masterpiece
This felt so earned after everything you watch him go through, I often hear people complain about the length of the naruto series but moments like this are only possible because of the time invested.
That Closing to the Arc was just Splendid. The Build up to this Point was just Unbelievably Good!â€ïž

What a beautiful, emotional, and action-packed Arc. Well done! One of the best Arc!
in ep 174 you got something wrong, the protagonist of the book is really called Naruto he had the idea when he looks at the bowl of ramen and sees the fish mass that is called naruto, there is an ep that shows Minato saying to the Jiraya who is going to name his son from Naruto (at that time Jiraya says "what do you mean and it's just an idea I had while fine lamen") in honor of the character in the book and he wants his son to have the same courage as the character of the book and what actually happened. that white slice in Jiraya's soup and naruto (fish pasta) and the anime's protagonist Naruto carries the same symbol on his back... some episodes when he's going to eat ramen, it's even to understand him asking to put "naruto" in ramen it sounds funny these references that the authors leave.
I'm crying againđâ€... I really love Narutođ„șđ

The title of the novel that Jiraiya is writing at the end of the op is Naruto Uzumaki.
This is one of the best episodes in my opinion. I've watched it many times and I'm still crying :')
I think this may have been less clear in the anime, but the words Nagato was reciting were exactly the same as the villain in the book. When he realized that, that's when he became shocked.

the name of the hero in jiraiya's novel was Naruto which he got from looking at the ramen he was eating. and jiraiya was the godfather of Naruto so in the scene where kushina said she would name her unborn baby "Naruto", Jiraiya asked if she was sure becoz he just thought of the name from eating ramen.
