The ending of the pain arc was a masterpiece

There are four things that are amazing to me in this episode
1.- Nagato's last words :(
2.- Konan's resolve
3.- Kakashi carrying Naruto
4.- When they tell how the villagers started accepting Naruto and how worried they got every time something sad happened
I love the part when Kakashi was coming back to life and his dad said “I can finally see your mother”

I really love the conversation between Kakashi and his father. Kakashi telling his Dad he is proud of him and his Dad finally able to move on.
Bro the citizens of the lead dragged Naruto through the mud for 15 years and it takes him saving their life for them to accept him. That had me hot for a second there lol
Kakashi and a lot of the villagers are alive because of Narutos decision to not let his hatred and wish for revenge darken his soul and instead trust in Jirayas hope for a better world

Kishimoto is so clever. Using Pain’s excellent redemption arc as an excuse for plot armor for the entire village.

Show would’ve died if they actually killed Kakashi and Hinata 😂 there would be no Obito vs Kakashi sequence (which played a huge part in the end of the show) and Naruto would’ve never married Hinata. Show would’ve been a huge L
Cardi B true. But he could’ve easily killed characters like Ino or Kiba to give the actual event more weight.
BTW I love the Obito vs Kakashi fight. It’s just amazing.

What I really love about the last sequence is that it shows an evolution of everyone's mindset from resenting to acknowledging to caring to trusting.

@@wintershogun2696 well they said Naruto had a strange ability to change peoples hearts, that was always his special ability his special true power far grater then sage, his ability to quickly master summoning, his adeptness with Kage Bunshin, etc. It's what truely changed the hearts of the entire village when it came to him, its what changed Garra's heart and he would become Narutos friend, it even changed Nagato once he realized Naruto had this ability how ever latent in the background it was and was able to see in Naruto what Jiraiya had saw in him also.
When you think about it, Nagato could have seen such a big brother figure to Naruto if he had never lost hope in humanity.
It would have made sense, they are from the same clan and had the same Seinse

This by far one of the most emotinal moments in television hiistroy barring any death scenes. Seeing how the people of the village slowly started accepting Naruto and caring about him just warms my heart!

The best end for the best arc
In the past Kyubi killed a lot of people and now the nine tails boy saves all the inhabitants of the village
Though tbh, it doesn't make much sense for villagers to hate their own resident jinchuuriki. For one, the jinchuuriki are considered the villages' ultimate weapons, for the purpose of maintaining the balance of power between nations (or at least defending their nations in case of attack). What sense does it make to constantly antagonize the very being(s) that you consider so dangerous and destructive? That's actually counter to their survival. And second, in at least Konoha's case, they knew that Naruto was a child/infant when the Fox was sealed into him. It's not like he actually destroyed the village, so it makes no sense to treat Naruto as if he's responsible for it, because he wasn't. It's just dumbass Fear by Association, which is counterproductive and makes no sense.

A small detail ive always loved is that in the flashbacks Naruto went from "The fox brat" to slowly just being known as Naruto. It really shows that they genuinely started to accept him when they bothered to remember his name
This is one of my favorite episodes, definitely one of the happiest episodes. So much nostalgia in the flashbacks it shows how far Naruto has come
r.i.p for nagato/pain...one of the greatest character of all anime and goodbye to one of the best arc in the series..

Aside from the injuries Naruto inflicted on himself, he defeated Pain unscathed. To go through all that and end up only tired, goes to show not only how far Naruto has surpassed Jiraiya in strength but also how far he has come as a ninja and the faith in himself to keep moving forward.

Idk if it was because I binge-watched all Naruto Canon seasons until here in two weeks or something else but the scene when everyone cheers Naruto hits me so hard, I've never cried over tv series or animes but this scene made me tear up a bit.

Some of the fillers are as memorable as actual episodes for me. You people don’t realize the struggle of watching anime like this before it was mainstream in the west. You had to torrent it from fansubbers and one of the groups was dattebayo. If there wasn’t an episode that week they released a fake episode which was an older episode usually a filler and they commentated over it or things like that. They’d add a tag YHBT (you have been trolled) . The most distinct one to me was the one where two imposter ninja pretended to be Gai and Lee as the commentary was Bout how bad the animation and story was. Good times. After you took 40 min to download it you watched it since you already wasted 40 minutes waiting for the download. Sometimes it was fun times though.
The biggest learning for me from naruto was how one can play such an important to someone else’s life.
Iruka saved naruto from becoming a person filled with hatred.
No matter what, I love talk no jutsu, words are the strongest weapon, though it may sound violent, so I'll put it this way "words are the purest boon"
In this episode Naruto is the Hero and this is the first step for to begin Hokage!

I always look forward to seeing different reactions to this episode, and Mama Weebly's reaction was a breath of fresh air. While Naruto being recognized as a hero, Kakashi returning to carry him back to everyone, and Nagato redeeming himself are all great, let's not forget how instrumental Katsuyu was in this arc.
