During the video I would have pulled over and adjusted it. I use only a clean microfiber cloth on the Madstad. Use what Madstad says on it's site to clean it. You won't have any problems.

That is a good looking windshield. I went with the Show Chrome one available from Slingmods. It makes a huge difference as I usually wear a half helmet. I look over the shield too. Thanks for sharing this and take care.

Thanks. The show chrome looks great as well. I was debating between the 2 as it is a pain to get to the frunk with the MadStad one. How is it with the Show Chrome, also any buffeting?

@@RideAboutNow The frunk is pretty easy. There is some tilt adjustment and the lip of the frunk lid clears the shield with room to spare. I have not taken it out on the highway yet. For 55 and under it seems ok, about like the stock shield on my Yamaha V Star.

They are light and quite comfy and cheap considering the brand name. Alpinestars Copper Gloves $50.

No I haven’t. Can you tell me where to start my research on that.

We’re the same height. How is the wind buffeting at highway speeds?

I had it set up to where I was just seeing over it and had some buffeting on the 18inch shield. I did not want to raise it any higher. I would go for the 20inch or go for the F4 customs.

Where did you get your windshield and handle guard?

    • @RideAboutNow

Windshield was from Madstad.com and the hand guards from Can Am. The hand guards come in handy a lot.

I am 5/9 and this is clear but my fav was the F4 customs shield that was optically correct and sharp.

Why would anyone want a windshield? The entire reason I ride is to get in the wind.

Personal preference I guess. Not to get fatigued on longer rides. A lot of debris here in Atlanta on the roads. But many Ryker riders here like the naked look and feel and have no shield.
