  • The F430 will go down in history as one of the greatest mid-engine V8 Ferraris of all time. Under the engine hatch is a 4.3L V8 that is producing 483HP & mated to a Ferrari F1 6-speed automatic gearbox, The exterior has a timeless design with form and function taken into the equation. On the inside you will find a well laid out interior, and a steering wheel meant for a race car. Is the Ferrari F430 one of the BEST used super cars you can BUY?

    • @f430ferrari5
      @f430ferrari5 Před 3 lety

@Ben Walsh oh no wonder your shifts are so slow. You have a 3 pedal F430. 😂
Dude I should have stated I that I have the F1. I know the hesitation differences between shifts when in different modes. Everybody who has driven one does.
Don’t go falsely accusing me as to what the manettino switch does. Bottom line it impacts how the car is shifting for the F1 which is why I asked was he only in sport mode.
I have a 3 pedal E46 M3 which is a car one can indeed manually shift fast in and the results are not the same when having DSC on or off. The hesitation one would get is the traction control kicking in.
Pretty sure you have never driven an F1 F430. Give it a try and switch between the different modes.
I’ve also driven 458 with DCT of course so I know the difference.
Go to around 11:12 or so in the vid. He starts moving around the mannetino switch and explaining. Looks like he had it in Sport mode at the beginning and left it in sport mode which many do.
While just cruising and warming up the car I keep in Sport. For more spirited driving I put in Race and the shifts are faster and when just doing straight line acceleration I turn the CST off and shifts are fastest.
One other thing you probably don’t know either related to the F1 and the mannetino switch. If you’re in Sport you won’t hit the rev limiter. It will shift for you right at 8,500. It still hesitates between shifts though.
If you’re in Race then it won’t shift for you at 8,500 rpm.

So what’s the difference between 483hp vs when I Google Ferrari F430hp, it says 490..

I just bought one , a coupe. Don’t think you will lose a lot of money on depreciation on these anymore.

I love this car. It’s almost Spec to perfection to me. If the rims if they had the aluminum brush finish as well as the exhaust tips instead of the mirror chrome finish then this would be perfect to me.
*Also if the Dash was same color as the seats, but thats very minor. Actually I love this car all my changes are very minor 🤣.

There really isn’t much of a difference though until you’re well past 100 mph.
I think this is what separates the F430 vs 360 and other lower hp Ferrari’s.
After 70-80 mph the 360 is falling way behind.

Hi wanted to ask you; did you have more fun in Modena or the F430 and is there a lot of difference justifying the price range difference in manuals 120k vs 180k; planning to get one
    Thank you

Own both, a 2003 Ferrari 360, and a 2006 F430. I like the rawness of the 360 but the F430 is the better of the two.

Greg Boss Thank you for the reply.
But for that price difference of 40 thousand dollars between manual 360 and 430, is it that much better that it’s totally worth putting in that extra money into it ! :). That would the question , no doubt F430 is better. Thanks

@@amoghgajankush1975 As an investment and pure enjoyment go gated 6 speed. Mine are F1 and below 6,000 miles on both Ferraris. Be sure to have a PPI, and get service receipts. I found mine as only 2 owner cars with very low miles. Paid 74k pay my 360, and 116k for my 430. Best cars I have ever owned.

Greg Boss wow such low mileage. You are a lucky chap. And I bet they are fun- Raiti’s ride was screaming all this way in the review lol.
But is the manual 430 worth spending extra 49 50 thousand dollars on if 360 can can give you similar experience that’s the question. Because both are on sale and I am trying to make up my mind:))

This Ferrari is perfect for when you are on a tight budget when it comes to buying a supercar. $110K sounds like the perfect price for this sexy f430. I would love to have this ove in this exact color one day.

The design of F430 is an improvement of 360 Modena that it replaced. I love the beautiful design all around, except the oval front air intakes. I prefer to have it more angular like the F430 Scuderia. Engine sound isn't to be overly excited about, however. I would rather hear F355 or 350 Modena any day instead of this F430.
