"A Song of Ice and Fire (commonly abbreviated as ASoIaF) is an ongoing series of epic fantasy novels by American novelist and screenwriter George R. R. Martin. Martin began writing the series in 1991 and the first volume was published in 1996.
The story of A Song of Ice and Fire takes place in a fictional world, primarily on a continent called Westeros but also on a large landmass to the east, known as Essos. Most of the characters are human but as the series progresses others are introduced, such as the cold and menacing supernatural Others from the far North and fire-breathing dragons from the East, both thought to be extinct by the humans of the story. There are three principal story lines in the series: the chronicling of a dynastic civil war for control of Westeros among several competing families; the rising threat of the Others, who dwell beyond an immense wall of ice that forms Westeros' northern border; and the ambition of Daenerys Targaryen, the exiled daughter of a king who was murdered in another civil war fifteen years before, to return to Westeros and claim her rightful throne. As the series progresses, the three story lines become increasingly interwoven and dependent upon each other."

But seriously that lake scene with Alicent intrigues me the most. It could be the Blackwater but it doesn't really match what we've seen around King's Landing. Harrenhal and a dream sequence are possible too but it's hard to tell. It definitely gives me some Ophelia vibes.
I’m so excited for the show-only twist where they actually miraculously work out peace terms and all the dragons die out from the dreaded Dragon Pox 30 years later.
Everyone talks about Blood and Cheese but what about Alicent and that serious cake at the lake?
Jokes aside I hope we get at least a mention of Daeron if we don't see him.

3:57 WRONG! in this scene Daemon is using his sword Darksister. It's the dagger that's sheathed. Darksister has some dragon wing resemblance and doesn't have the shell thing on its hilt.

GRRM watched the first two eps & said "they were dark, very dark mind you. They may make you cry. Powerful, emotional, gut-wrenching, heart rending." Which means it's going to be the exact opposite of whatever would've made targ stans happy. So, Daemon's not gonna be baking girlscout cookies in Dragonstone! Btw, couple things going into this season: 1)A woman existing in the middle ages is inherently agentic; her being pulled by centrifugal forces of complicated relationships that contradict each other is reflective of real life; passive characters reacting to & failing to overcome barriers set by a feudal society is a far more interesting narrative than hate & jealousy. No, "agency" doesn't only mean D&D's version of Cersei Maergery. No, a female antagonist doesn't have have to be either a "perfect victim" or a "cunning manipulator". 2)"Childhood friendships" exist not only cause they're far more interesting than cinderella narratives, but also cause they add much needed depth to the future tribulations of said ex friends. They don't exist to be endgame ships, the tragedy comes specifically dud to them not being so 3)Real life villains don't walk around with a binder labeled "evil master plan" under their armpits, they don't always have everything under control, things like coups are supposed to be messy. 4) Prophesies & visions in Awoiaf are meant to be mirages, chasing them are supposed to be a cautionary tale of the pursuit of power. They don't exist as a magic 8 ball that helps the heroine to overcome the Final Boss & save the world. So the best fit for a prophetic character is a mute Cassandra, not a dragon riding girlboss. 5) Finally, the chapter is called "Princess & the Queen" & the anthology is called "Dangerous Women".The War of 5 Kings didn't just revolve around the kings. But hey, if they want a good vs evil hollywood war, they can always watch 300. But no matter how much tantrum they throw & how much they try to sabotage the show, they will never get that one dimensional evil stepmother doormat caricature who only exist to make their platinum blonde princess look good.

I don't think we will get news about Laenor's death. I don't think the show is going to take into consideration that a rider has to die in order for a dragon to be taken by another rider. I don't think they'll use that left right and center but I don't think they'll "explain" that Laenor had to die for Addam of Hull to take Seasmoke.
