A full week of workouts training towards my 100 mile (160km) Ultramarathon in just a few months! I'm not able to run yet, which is a slight problem, but there's still a huge amount of training I can do in the gym and on the bicycle to build my endurance capacity and prepare my body! This is all my workouts this week, though my routine is changing almost every week to increase my fitness! Proud of you, keep pushing yourselves 👏

Key elements to completing 100 miles: (1) Don't plan on running the entire race. It's a jog/hike. (2) It's 100% okay to take a nap. I took two short naps in mine, 7 minutes and 10 minutes. (3) If you feel sick to your stomach, candied ginger is A. MAZE. ING. (4) If your feet really hurt, sit down for 10-15 minutes. (5) Use vaseline or body glide on your feet under your socks. (6) have a second pair of shoes with your crew or drop bag. Changing shoes at mile 60-75 is FANTASTIC. (7) Your mind is stronger than your body. You're not done when you think you're cooked. (8) NO QUITTING unless you're injured. If you want to quit, sit down for 30 minutes and cry. Eat. You'll be okay. Get up and keep moving.

I don't usually comment, but I am honestly so moved that you're doing this for endo research. I was diagnosed after a ridiculously long and painful waiting process. I lost all my fitness and was basically bed-ridden for a year. It was so hard to watch a huge part of my life get taken away because of this disease. I'm a year post-surgery and feel so much better, and your videos have always been a source of motivation for me. This video put such a wide smile to my face! I’m also so grateful to you for choosing to donate to endometriosis research. I was diagnosed 3 years ago aged 33, and had my surgery last June. This condition has definitely hampered my fitness journey (and life in general), from painful periods to developing severe anaemia from heavy bleeding (had to give up my running training at the time due to that and the resulting fatigue & breathlessness) to surgery recovery to developing side effects from post-surgery hormone treatment… I just try to tell myself to keep going on as soon as I can again, but the setbacks can sometimes be disheartening. Your positive energy and your thoughtful and well-researched programs help a ton. I’m currently training in the gym repeating CUT.2022 to get back in shape and build some strength, then will be moving on to CUT.2023 or BUILD.Reload (not made my mind up yet). I’d like to go back to running once I’m a bit stronger again. Thank you for the inspiration and your inexhaustible positivity. I’ll be donating on payday.

Thank you so so much Natacha! I have followed you for several years, and you are my favorite CZcamsr. I didn’t think it was possible to like you more, but creating a fundraiser for endometriosis research is making me happy beyond words. As someone with endometriosis, thank you. I am donating what I can right now, and I appreciate every one of you who cares about endometriosis research. I love you all ❤

As someone with endometriosis, but who’s also deeply inspired by you and all that you do, this is amazing! I love that you spread awareness about something I and many others deal with every day. I’m also very lucky to have «medication» (well, a hormonal IUD) which works wonders for me and have given me my life and health back. Having more knowledge now about my health, nutrition, body, etc. also helps alot - all thanks to you! Good luck with the marathon!💕

Natacha, YOU are freaking amazing! I just got back from one of my longer lower body sessions in which I hit some PRs. You motivate me to focus on my PT and rehab after some knee injuries years ago and I’ve felt the best I’ve ever felt in the last 3 years! Watching you be smart about your foot and ankle helps me keep my goals in mind too
I also can’t tell you how wonderful and meaningful it is that you’re fundraising for a women’s health charity. The comments bring tears to my eyes because I know so many people who struggle with endo 😭❤️. Keep being awesome!

THANK YOUUUUU so much Natacha for doing this for endo.
Being diagnosed for about 2 years I've tried so many diets training routines and pseudoscience approach's, to make sure it doesn't grow back quickly to manage symptoms.
Because there's so little research on it doctors really don't know what causes it leading to many people to recommend conflicting diets and approaches. Its just so overwhelming as a girl who isn't a medical professional to sort the science based tips and diets from other approaches steeped in diet culture. Thanks for helping this cause

Endometriosis has crippled me most of my life, I used to pass out from my period pains, was terribly lethargic and I'm unable to conceive. It took 10 years for me to get a diagnosis and even micro surgeries to remove scar tissue haven't helped. Luckily having the contraceptive implant has actually worked for the last 15 years, I'm 40 now. And I've made a personal decision to not have children. Thanks Natacha for raising awareness of this, I love everything you do, and you inspire me so much!!! 💜

It's so cool of you supporting endo! I was diagnosed in 2019 after years of pain up to fainting. Post operation I went on hormonal therapy, but got really bad side effects from it. After three years of constantly switching out hormonal medication, I am now without hormones for almost a year. I don't have any pain, hardly any cramping and living my best life. Fingers crossed, it stays that way. And for all of you with an uterus and pain during your mens, hang in there and I wish for you to find a doc who takes your pain seriously and gets you diagnosed ❤

Natasha, my running journey has always been short lived. I enjoy it for a little while but I push myself too hard too quickly and my mental game wavers as a result. But since you’ve started your training for this (insane!!!!!!!) distance, I’m now three weeks into a ten week program to run 5km. I know that’s a mini distance and probably a warm up for you, but I’m trying to let go of being embarrassed of that! I think it’s less about the distance for me and more just the going for 3 runs a week combined with 2 pilates sessions and enjoying a new type of fitness I don’t usually persist with. I wanted to genuinely thank you for being one of the most generous, intelligent and holistic people on the internet. You give me courage I couldn’t have dreamt of. I am literally so in awe of you. I hope you know how incredibly strong you are in all meanings of that word. On top of all that, you’re thoughtful and considerate and nonjudgmental, that’s hard to find in one person. Thank you for all you do. ❤️❤️❤️
PS. Can you please explain the maple syrup drink to me? Can this be replaced as a sports drink for post / during runs?! I’ve never heard of this combo of electrolytes as I’m so new to the game! xx

In 2023, I feel like everyone around me is talking about it. After flirting with the idea of starting to run again for a bit, I sporadically went for a run last week. It felt great! I loved it so much and was impressed at how fit I am. I’ve decided to commit, and I’m gonna do a 10 mile run in September :)

I'm so glad this is the fundraiser that was chosen. I had endometriosis for almost 10 years before I got diagnosed. I went to different doctors countless times to be told nothing was wrong but a stomach/intestinal infection or just 'normal' period cramps. I'd get thrown on antibiotics or told to take OTC pain meds and that was it. I finally found a doctor in 2020 that actually listened to me. I had the surgery later that year and I feel like a new person. After years of dealing with pain that I thought was "normal" for a woman it was such a relief to stop feeling like I was crazy and all the suffering I was going through was just in my head. Endometriosis is definitely something that needs to be researched more.
