8 years of rumors and speculation and it’s FINALLY here. You know I’ve dreamed of this since like 2015? I don’t even know if I’ll get it. Buts it’s good that it’s finally out
3600$ nah ima stick with meta but I do love Apple design for the Apple reality pro
@@nahwhyoustalkingmypage meta gon steal your dick pics 💀💰
8 years and it looks pretty stupid 😄
@@MrRandomguyTom in one announcement they leapfrogged over everyone else in the game. No. It doesnt look stupid
@@Ghost-jy9hk how do you know? Did you use it, experience it? No. You just saw marketing presentation. At this point we know almost nothing, but the one thing we know for sure it looks stupid 😄 And it could be pretty much "airpowered"...
I feel like in the future SharePlay will be HUGE on this thing. Like if you could see all those screens everywhere with other people would be dope
My friends can then watch avatar 2 3D, marvel, and anime fights together using shareplay in vision pro…whether together in a room where we can still see each other or with siome friends in different location. Hopefully we can also play Yu Gi Oh in AR like in anime and more games
@@PSy84 Watching Way of Water in 3D on a "150 ft" screen would be so cool.
Yeah it’s called real life
Please let us take a moment to appreciate the hilarious masterpeace of an intro you just made😂😂😂

I think this is one of those things where they are playing a very long game here. Like you said the hardware is a little compromised, but i think they want to put it out now because what this is actually for is to lay the software groundwork. So that when the hardware does get even better in a few years, the software ecosystem for AR is there already. New platforms like this always have the chicken and the egg issue of software or hardware first and i think this is Apple putting out the hardware that's possible now to have something to start building the software of tomorrow on. To make the usual comparison to the OG iPhone unveil. The OG iPhone was fairly bare bones compared to what it became over a couple generations. The better hardware came later, the software came later, the app store came later. But that first phone had to be there first to make all that possible. So i think that's kinda what they're doing here and it's why the Vision Pro is priced how it is. It's not meant to be mass market yet. Max Weinbach posted a Tiktok kinda pointing out how if you are looking from a Past to Present viewpoint it's hard to "get it" but if you look at it from a Present to Future viewpoint, the Vision Pro makes sense and it's probably why Apple's board as well as the general public reaction is split (is it was when the first iPhone came out too funny enough).
By the late 2020s i can definitely see Vision pro and its possible competitors by then where the smart phone world was around 2010-2011 with the proliferation of apps and mass numbers of people adopting them. I think it'll become something like a computer and iphone in one and will also open up a whole new way to interact with apps and the world in a new way. It will be the digital world becoming one with the physical. Slowly like the ipod the iphone might lose its relevance, i think itll take a long time for that to happen though..
Finally someone who understands what’s really happening..this comment made me happy :)
Literally, the best intro you’ve ever made. 😂
When I go to restaurants I bring my Quest pro and the reason why I do I’m a semi truck driver. The employees and Customers walk up to me and ask me questions while I’m looking at them thru my pass through with that being said, the eyes looking thru the headset will be so amazingly cool and more comfortable for people to feel to have a conversation with me.
Interesting to think about if they changed the name last minute.
I remember Tim Cook being interviewed on the day of the Apple Watch announcement, standing next to a bunch of Apple Watches, and he called it the iWatch lol
that battery pack gives me 10th gen iPad Apple Pencil vibes
Yes! Very accurate!
Honestly the thing that impressed me most was that it’s controlled with eye movements an hand gestures rather than any bulky physical controller. It really reminded me of Tony Stark using all those holograms seamlessly in the movies, I’ve never seen a control method look that natural on one of these things
Yeah same here! And Optic ID was a nice touch
It's probably pretty clunky in person if its anything like meta's hand tracking, but maybe the better sensors and processors will make it usable.
@@mihaidragnea9785they are not clunky: czcams.com/video/_USrtT3chs0/video.html
@@mihaidragnea9785 no it’s very different than Meta hand tracking. Meta sensors require you to put out your hands towards the actual object to grab it, apples headset allows you to have your hands relaxed by your side and simply look at something with your eyes as a form of hovering your mouse over it, and then you can just pinch your fingers while they are by your side to pinch whatever object or button you’re looking at and manipulate it.
19:30 I actually thought this was genius. Seeing their face makes it you don’t have to take it away to have a chat with the other people, makes its use less like a jail. And the feature will just be better in the future… also, and this is just for shy people, it is more comfortable for me when talking with people with “a filter” between us (like the masks during Covid).
You can also plug the Vision Pro into mains power when you’re using it at home or at your desk at work. If there’s a power outlet nearby, such as at your airplane seat, you can plug it in there. My guess is that there will be made for Vision Pro battery packs available by launch that will work with the cable. Some will probably have more juice than the original.
My first reaction is just shocked. I thought they made transparent displays. I'm already impressed when they said it's just an OLED screen.
No it’s actually not JUST an oled screen, it’s a holographic oled display with lenticular lens technology that allows people around you to see a different perspective of your eyes from different angles
It is cool to see the fianl product after watching you film and edit this yesterday. Very cool, and I love the skit!
Intro had me rollin with the phone eyes, good stuff Drew.
Honestly, I feel like once Apple Vision gets good enough (in every way: battery life, functionality, etc) to wear all day and just have the convenience of a Mac everywhere at any time, then it will truly pick up speed.
Yes. And the price will definitely come down. IMO, $1k-$1.5k is the minimum they’d charge. I can’t see it going lower than that
Battery….just plug to charger while using
It is just a detachable battery, so you’d just need a bigger battery to solve the first problem.
The second one will sort itself out once developers get their hands on it.
The best skit you have done yet!
Watched u make this u work hard bro 🔥💪🏿
Market:
Single person who owns no TV, iPad, or Mac and has no desire to be socially acceptable or personally available for a “Netflix and chill”.
I don't really get why people are so upset about the price like it's not a VR headset just for gaming like the others like the quest or even the PS VR2 it's literally every apple products mixed into one new device. And they're not compromising on anything to keep the price down unlike them, except maybe battery life but it's to make it ergonomic imo. If people find the price to be too much then it's just not for them yet but it all depends on what the devs will do with it to make it more appealing to the masses I guess.
People are upset about the price b/c it costs literally SEVEN TIMES the price of the BEST VR headsets from other companies, that does virtually 95% of what this headset does. What are you talking about compromises lmao. We get it. You have money burning in your pockets and will get one.
@@superEriccui Ok then tell me what that other oh so great VR headset does the same? Do you even have any idea how complicated the stuff they showed is to pull off to say that? Is there any of them that works without a controller? That you can use as an independent device that doesn't just do gaming? When I was talking about compromises I meant how most of those headsets always cut something to make the price as low as possible like reducing the resolution or having a huge brick to power it. And finallyI wasn't even bragging about money there I was just stating my opinion on it I know the price is a big ask for most people me included and as I said if you find it outrageous then it's just not for you that's it no need to feel so offended geez...
@@azt02 And I’m asking you guys to list those. All VR headset I’ve seen focus either on gaming only or just do the same as the vision but a very less polished version of it (if it actually works as well as they showed ofc). That’s why I never saw any usefulness to them even this is not that useful to me just a little more interesting than them at least.
@@andryhrakotoniaina7437 First of all the resolution isn't that impressive. It also doesn't justify spending 7x more. 4K micro-oled has been on the market for a while now and other headsets do feature it. Some of those headsets are more expensive, but they have way more features than Apple's headsets, including angular optics. Second of all, having a bigger battery pack isn't a compromise. The device doesn't have to be plugged into the wall. You can use it freely, that isn't a compromise. You are insane to think that two hours is somehow acceptable. The majority of us would rather see Apple include a bigger battery pack. Finally, you still haven't justified why someone should and will be paying 3.5k+ to get a device that is literally flawed in many ways. There are headsets that are slightly more expensive but MUCH BETTER and includes MORE FEATURES. There are headsets that are SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper and does AGAIN 95% of what this device does.
@@superEriccui I think you’re missing my point there I’m not dumb enough to say 3.5k is acceptable heck it’s the equivalent of 4.7k here in Canada. But take this as an example a honda civic does 95% of what a ferrari does but cost 20x less, so? Did you ever see anyone complain about that? Like why does a car that cost that much have worse fuel economy than the cheapest car available? Of course 2h hours is miserable battery life but guess what other product launched with a battery life just as bad, overpriced as hell and in a market with already tons of options? The iPhone so yeah I think this time I cleared up what I said. People who wants it will justify that price tag and people who don’t will just complain and compare it with whatever else is already available. Only the enthusiasts will buy it at first but like it or not someday people will use these on the daily. Probably not this first version but just watch, it will happen just like airpods were mocked for the exact same reasons so give it a few years.
I was honestly baffled to hear him say that it had all day battery life when it’s plugged in, how did that get into an official announcement
data told therm the sheep would eat it up bcuz they are dumber than ever.
The Macintosh cost $2495 in 1984 dollars. Mac Mini today costs $599. And in 1983, it’s predecessor, the Lisa launched for $9995. That one was a flop with only 10,000 units sold, but it introduced for the first time the GUI features that are now common in all computers.
That’s maybe where the idea that it will get cheaper comes from. Maybe it will sell as well as the Lisa, and in the following year they launch an EyePod or something that is just a pair of screens that you connect to your MacBook via Thunderbolt. Obviously you would need at least an M1/M2 Pro for dual external displays.
I think what really matters for now is nailing the OS, the features, the controls, the experience. The battery, form factor, and price are all things that can reasonably be expected to improve with time IF actually using the device is gonna feel amazing enough for people to want a device like this long term.
I am very impressed with what they have shown.
Air Pods Max are def popular see a ton of them at the gym and outdoors
Considering apple has a CREDIT CARD which they normally push $5000 - $10,000 limits on (Goldman Sachs) and they have a savings account, I won't be surprised if financing plans - or even leasing plans pop up for this thing.
Problem is: I never saw a single reason why I needed to buy one.
Honestly it seems more useful in a work environment or even working from home since it allows spacial multitasking and you can connect a Bluetooth keyboard to it
It’s a thing you want, not need. The fact that it can give you a personal private public open space cinema at home is insane. Keep in mind this is the first gen product. Potentially in the future people may completely replace their TVs, speakers or even iPads and MacBooks with this. For everything it does I consider it actually pretty cheap. I would expect it to cost way more. I mean like the presenter said, just a 4k tv and a stereo audio system alone would cost more than this, and that doesn’t come close to everything it can do
People said the same thing as the Mac, the iPhone and the iPad. It’s something you will only understand once you start using it.
@@georgeoust
Oculus Quest 2 does that for $300
Well I could get it because they gave me a credit card which has a max up to 4,000. But idk
I like the reaction to this thing even more than the product! JUst think of all the skits you'll make! Y-e-e-e-e-s-s-s! Bring on the skits!
Can’t wait for Apple Vision SE might be able to afford that one with a payment plan 😂
They called it Vision PRO, which hints at a possible SE version
I can’t wait for Vision Mini
@@iTheftAuto it will be for one eye only 👁️
@@samueldaman2270 That's legit funny, thank you
I freaking love this channel
what colour apple stickers will it have?
I think its biggest use is to be a computer monitor and TV replacement... Or alternative at the very least. I can imagine most content we consume being somewhat immersive with depth instead of being watched on a two-dimensional screen.
Imagine watching a horror movie on a giant theater screen on this thing.... And then the killer steps out from behind the theater screen to charge towards you. Things like that which just bend the rules that all of us are so accustomed to. Or how they had the basketball court appear in real time on the coffee table during a game. I can't wait to see what developers think of because so much stuff is possible with this thing.
So many possibilities 😆😆😆
Everyone is completely missing the gaming announcements. Hideo Kojima showed up, and he's going to be talking to other game studios to port. The new porting tools are pretty sweet too!
Finally, I can watch Tailosive tech on a 100ft screen on a virtual beach
Will the new AirPods Pro software update that’s coming out will it be available for the AirPods pro
first generation?
I need to see if it can play PCVR games straight off the headset. Or can you link it to a windows pc via virtual desktop
wondering what storage is going to be used on these units?
Every time we see a new generation of technology, we also see a spike in price. The iPhone originally started at $499 and now you can buy one that starts at $1099. The way that I think of Apple Vision Pro is the equivalent of iPhone 14 Pro Max in their current ecosystem; it’s the most expensive model that you can buy, but there are more affordable options below it. I think that in a few years, once the technology has become cheaper to manufacture, we might see a Vision SE for $999, which would be the equivalent of the iPhone SE today.
So when will we see the first copy of this & by whom?? 😅😅
What a time to be alive! 🙌
I want it so bad, can't wait
Bummer that I can’t have multiple display space using this for my Mac. Looks like the Mac takes up one space and then you still have Vision OS apps on the side.
I think the tech looks incredible!!! But this is very much, in my opinion, a first step. There is a reason why it's called "Pro". That's a first for Apple, launching the initial iteration of a device with that moniker attached. There is no doubt that the Apple Vision SE will make an appearance at some point down the line - I can't see it ever costing less than $1000 though, unless Apple starts selling them at a loss etc. With advances in AI/machine learning, I can imagine a scenario whereby fewer and fewer cameras/sensors are needed to carry out the same kind of eye-tracking/etc., so in that respect the bill of materials could drop in time. The all-plastic, non-premium feel model will inevitably be cheaper to produce, alongside the benefits afforded by mass production. I doubt this is under 2-years away though.
I continue to be very sceptical of the whole concept of these enclosed headsets. For instance, the fact that each individual user needs one in order to properly utilise the experience. Honestly, I don't think we're anywhere near close to having this kind of tech widely distributed in the same way as smartphones etc. This isn't something you slap on your wrist like the Watch and can forget about until needed. Using it is a very active decision. You need to put it on and take it off each time. A phone, you can place at for a moment and then go about your day. The Vision Pro simply requires so much more involvement. You have to be consciously intending to immerse yourself in work / a movie / game / experience for an extended period of time. In some sense, maybe this is an advantage? You go into a cinema to focus on a movie for 2 hours. You go into the office cubicle to concentrate for extended periods. Having the headset on might result in more focussed and intentional behaviour. That doesn't sound like a bad thing. But, on the whole, I do have my doubts.
Very keen to try one on for myself. I have had no experience with any other VR headsets. The current price point makes it inaccessible for me as a purchase, but were it to drop a few grand, well, I'll be getting the 2nd/3rd iteration. I'm reminded of my first iPhone purchase, It wasn't until the iPhone 4 that I invested in that future. Same for the Watch. The first one I bought was the 4. The first iPad I bought was the first iPad Pro. Apple has a history of producing 1st-iterations of tech which dramatically improve within their first few cycles of "upgrade". I am certain this will be the case with Vision.
Interesting times to be sure!
I literally thumbs up this because of your skit 😂😂😂😂😂
Can you imagine the amount of creativity and entertainment one can get with this . Oh boi watching movies with this is 🔥🔥🔥
What gives me hope for the price is that this is the Pro version. I’m sure as the Apple vision OS market expand, the technology will become more mainstream. Similar to IPhone Pro, normal and SE.
Can you use this with AirPod Max?
Bro if they calculated for inflation then in 10 years everyone can afford it 😅
I'm confused - 3D windowing at any size, multi-tasking, and even window and multitask on your MacBook in the headset, but it's not possible on an A12 through M2 iPad. 🤣
Sorry, off topic is your camera shutter speed okay 😅 or is it just me?
I’m calling it now. The R-Series chips will power self driving in future Apple car products.
I think the name pro implies that there will be a normal vision model that could be the "cheaper"
I think this will probably be something people use for work, especially remote work rather than "typical" consumers. Maybe in a few years time will typical consumers start to buy it but I think it will be niche use cases that take it up. I know AR headsets are a bit of a thing in the medical field with Dr's being able to see a patient virtually and only having a nurse with the patient physically wearing the AR headset. There is even Bluetooth stethoscopes for this purpose. Incredibly helpful for isolated communities who can't see specialists. It's a lot less clunky than the AR headsets currently in use. It just requires some devs to create the apps for that use case, which they will. It will take years for it to be more consumer level outside the rich.
I’m actually blown away by the Reality Pro. Other than the battery, it seems incredible
I mean, unless you are outdoor, the battery shouldn’t be problem. Because you can have the battery charging while using.
Just like how you use power bank.
What is Reality Pro?
@@WellFedProductions oh whoops vision pro haha. I keep mixing them up
They said the displays were greater than 4K we eye. Also from what I read, the external display is a lenticular (3d) display which makes it look like the eyes are where they are for real.
I actually thought it was their real eyes at first before they explained it lol. I actually think it’s pretty cool
Hilarious 😂 you are rapidly becoming my favourite tech channel on CZcams
Wow, you need to watch some more channels
None of them are as funny as your skits😂
Hate the skits. But when the phone came up to his face that got me. 😂

There needs to be drivers or something to allow you to get Windows or Linux displays as well, and also, I feel like there will be a small battery inside the headset so that when you swap batteries, the whole headset doesn’t shut down entirely.
I doubt it will happen but, I wonder if they will overlay a digital Apple Watch on your arm when you use the headset. Would be kinda neat but mostly pointless
weren't people putting their ipod nanos on watch bands before the apple watch came out? That's what it reminded me of when I first heard about it. I was just like aren't people already doing that and was slightly confused?
I feel like this would work best as a pc work space or a single person’s entertainment device.
I think that the tech at play here is *really cool*. I just don’t see how the software is *useful*.
It doesn’t really replace anything.
It’s better than my iPad for content consumption I guess, but with a battery life of two hours, not really? And I can’t imagine that it feels good to use a virtual keyboard, it for sure doesn’t on my Meta Quest 2.
It doesn’t replace my TV, since it only shows the screen to my eyes.
It doesn’t replace my watch, the battery’s not enough to wear it all day and even if I could, I’d feel super goofy wearing it in public.
It doesn’t replace my phone, battery concerns aside I’m not getting the impression that it can have a phone plan attached to it.
It doesn’t even replace my Oculus Quest 2, which I use purely for playing the occasional VR game I’m interested in. I guess third-party solutions to link it to PC and play SteamVR will probably come along - but on a two hour battery life, with no controllers? No. Just no.
I don’t even know what this product is supposed to *do* beyond let you put a big monitor setup in any space, which while that’s *neat*, it’s not neat enough to justify $3500.
I am willing to pay that for this headset, I love MR and VR
Everyone is worried about the price. If it does what it appears it will sell. Think about it as half the m2 computer and half the VRBO display, and it seems pretty reasonable.
0:07 remember the iPlane One 😂
7:35 That reminds me of the Nintendo 3DS. Or that one old HTC phone. You could take 3D photos with the device & then view them back in 3D, but only on that device, lol.
I wonder how much it costs to fix the front glass if you drop it... maybe not possible?
AppleCare+ for a cool 300 USD for this headset, you heard it here first
@@eca3101 $349
They should make special e glasses for the visually impaired
I would wait for the cheaper option like the SE. I have calculated and if it can replace a MacBook and iPad. It is not far fetched. Also if you are by yourself, no longer need a TV 😅
I see VisionPro as revolutionary as the iPhone was in the beginning. The breakthrough in technology is entirely what I would have expected from Apple. They didn't set out to make a VR "gaming" device. They set out to change the concept of technology. The fact that you can interact seamlessly with your Mac... Blows.My.Mind! I'm not a gamer, so VR headsets have never interested me. But this? Dude! And I'm sorry, but if I want to talk to someone wearing a headset, I'd prefer to see their eyes, even if they are virtually displayed. But then, the notch has never been an issue for me, and the shape of the first-gen AirPods never bothered me in the slightest. I think Vision Pro is flat-out amazing! As for the target market, I don't think even Apple plans for it to be in everyone's hands at the launch. I was just as amazed by the introduction of the iPhone, and it still took me 4 years to ditch my flip phone and finally get one-not that I didn't want one all along. But I've owned 7 since. The thing I love about Apple... they think bigger, and they think of everything.
does it have a new wallpaper?
I’m sure this will never take off until the form factor is similar or smaller than regular glasses. That being said, Apple definitely delivered some pretty great tech for a first gen device. A step in the right direction. This tech is definitely the future.
The FaceTime avatar was way too creepy. It reminds me of those apocalyptic Jehovah Witness illustrations.
LMAO BRO UR ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS 😭😭😭 I LOVE UR VIDS
Yeah, I also expect a ‘Vision Air’
12:38 so wait can I take a selfie with it? 😂
You forgot to mention that you can use magic keyboard and mouse on this to navigate through the homescreen and interface.
It's DOA...
Two hours battery life being the least of your worries.
Prescription inserts for those with glasses is another.
I'm super sceptical about the whole thing.
What's to stop Meta from copying Apple if they really did do it?
I’m very excited to see where this goes! It starts now then move over to AR GLASSES!!! My dream is getting closer!!!!
14:00 this one is the pro. It started backwards. The next models will be less cool and capable but “cheaper”… though it is also probably the next pro versions will be even more expensive and the minis and air models will be still near at least $2000 dollars.
This thing could easily cost 5k. It's the largest movie theater you've ever been to, desktop computer, television, 3D recorder, your phone, all in one and AT ANY TIME. The battery life is the only drawback.
man awesome skit. that's exactly what it looks like lol
$3500 is expensive to consumers but peanuts to business/government. It’s not an accident that a big portion of the presentation and some of the initial demo apps were workplace applications of the VisionPro.
I would love to try to unplug it while someone was using it!!!!
The original iPhone was only $500 fully subsidized by a carrier. And $500 in 2007 is $730 today. Now we have iPhones WITHOUT subsidy at $429
The Apple Watch was introduced at $350 and now we have one at $250
The HomePod was introduced at $350 and now we have one at $100
The Apple TV was introduced at $300 and now we have one at $130
The iPod was introduced at $400 and the last iPod touch was $200
I would like to propose how to use this Apple Vision for video, especially for movies. A facility called Sphere has been built in Las Vegas, and it seems that full-scale operations will begin in September, but this cylindrical shape reminds me of the Cinerama Theater in Hollywood. So, I think that Sphere is an evolved version of Cinerama , the Cinerama theater of the 21st century. Due to its 16K resolution display capability, it may be difficult to reproduce it exactly with Apple Vision. However, if overcome that, I think Apple Vision will become the headset version of Sphere. I look forward to making this a reality.
They did go over the resolution. 4k per eye. FOV is reportedly 120 degrees.
I like your take on this device. There may be a mainstream market for this in the future but I don’t see it replacing all our devices. I don’t see people wanting to walk around with this on their face for hours and hours. Kinda an expensive cool toy. I bet after you own it for a few weeks most people would use it less and less. That said they did a good job on this, it’s a lot better then I assumed it would be. For 3500 I will take a MacBook Pro 16, 16/1tb and a new pro max iPhone with 512. Lol
They look like water goggles underwater when someone sees your eyes 😂
I like it.. can’t wait to use it and have a digital man cave since I don’t have a real one yet haha
Ok I actually laughed at this intro skit for once
I know TV manufacturers are horrified at this thing.
What if you have family, friends, roommates, dates that you want to watch TV with or play a game locally with? What if you want to play an Xbox game or a Blu-Ray? I doubt this will have an external input. The only games shown will be Apple Arcade, which is a subscription service with about 100 games, on a 2D ‘screen’. By the time there are many games, there will be Vision Pro 2.
I’d like to know the FOV
Its impressive
It’s funny how things I think are great some people think are funny and people won’t get used to. I think this totally is a thing a good amount of people will use in their day in 4 years from now.
As someone who supposedly enjoys Apple products, you really missed how insane of a product this is.
I enjoy good apple products. Not every apple product
I am interested in what you do if you want to watch a movie with friends. They didn’t talk about it at all. The people sit beside you and they appear in your space is cool but it has nothing about 2+ people wearing headsets in the same room.
9:45 crazy thought.
Maybe THATS how they will make this cheaper? Sell it as an accessory for your Mac or iPhone Pro or iPad M2 or greater for obvious reasons (lol to annoy Drew).
I have't heard anyone saying how much they look to the Microsoft HoloLens, in some aspects it's the same product but a few years later, like watching sports, etc. They are trying to implement it with daily like and work, I thought it would be entered more with work and gaming.
Totally the same as the livestream one 😂
not completely sure why, but this just makes me think of the book ready player one..
This is a niche product. Who the hell is really paying $3500 for that in this economy?
