Object 279 is one of the scariest vehicles you can come up against in War Thunder. It has solid characteristics all-around (except for gun depression, of course) with an incredibly powerful 130mm firing APHE. It is one of the rarest tanks in the game, though Gaijin occasionally give new players a chance to earn it through crates.

Despite this tank’s issues historically, you got to give props to the Soviet engineers, this vehicle is really impressive, the shear presence of this tank is menacing
There's a video on youtube of this specific vehicle moving around in the modern era, just look up: "Obj 279 driving" and you'll see. Crazy to me how it still runs somehow lol

The issue of russian equipment is it's russian built. The engineering that makes it simple is impressive. AND if built to a quality, they'd be really good.

@@Haggard3152nd a full BR higher than the 2P so at least in my experience the armor doesn't work too well. I used to like the amx50 more due to the mobility and reverse speed. But well now that is 7.7 where is just a slower lorraine 40t

The auto loader on the Object 279 is a semi auto loader just like the object 268 so losing your loader does slow down the reload

You've probably been told like 385k times already, but your reload slowed down after losing your loader because the tank only uses a partial autoloader. It is two piece ammo, the loader puts one half in, and the autoloader does the rest. :)

The Type 16 feels tanky because for what it is, it is pretty tanky. It’s meant to stop the Carl Gustav frontally, so ~400mm CE and can also withstand 30mm APDS frontally and 14.5mm from the side.
Please stay as you are! There are more than enough CZcamsrs who constantly shout at you so i really enjoy the more relaxed tone. Makes all the reactions feel more real.

This is one of my favorite tanks, both in War Thunder and IRL. The grind for was excruciating but it paid off in the end once I finally got it without having to spend a cent, eventually slapped a talisman on it and it has served me well since. A fun trick is with the 14.5 coax since its muzzle velocity is roughly the same as the main gun (1000/ms vs 1005/ms for the MG) so it makes ranging pretty easy to zero.
Gotta be one of your best videos to date, would love to see you play one of the Merkavas or the Sho't Kal they're pretty busted with the amount of machineguns that they get
