Aventurine's story can be said to be the best example of "no matter who you are, whether you are a commoner or a noble, a hero or a villain, you will always be a human being."

If you think about it Aventurine manage to escape slavery just to end as a slave again for the IPC, but then again Jade gave him a lending hand so in a way Jade was his sugar mommy and kinda his savior.
And also one thing to point out that a lot of people are speculating the Gaiathra is just another local name for Ena the Order
i actually agree with ena the order being gaiathra triclops since ena technically has three eyes (two on THEIR face and the big eye to THEIR left). additionally, the big eye has the same exact color scheme and pattern as the avgin eye.
I'm not sure if Jade truly rescued him. Her specialty is credit so Aventurine has to pay her back for everything she gave him (plus she told him he shouldn't resist his master no matter what).

Gaiathra Triclops being Ena makes sense since Aventurine says that the Harmony took everything from his people, and apparently The Harmony absorbed The Order which might have caused the people of Sigonia to fall into ruin
I understand on why people would dislike Aventurine at first, but after knowing his backstory, I can definitely understand why you can rearrange your opinion towards him, though I find his demeanor kind of cool tbh.
One of the main reason as well is because he is part of the IPC, which even players really hate because it's the game's version of the IRS
Straight up I don't like anyone related to the IPC, but I like them as characters and is interested in all lore. IPC corrupted the path of Preservation, using their Aeon's influence to form intergalactic super capitalism, everyone involved are corrupted and/or are victims. The one least disliked is probably Asta as she's basically just using her family's IPC old money for better use, supporting scientific study on Herta's station.
But I also do not like Qlipoth, as they isolate planets and cut them off from the universe, the exact opposite of Trailblazing.
@@GuyWithAnAmazingHat yeah it's interesting that qulipoth even let the IPC work with their power at all considering the IPC does the complete opposite of what the Propagation wants and harms people in the process even destroying worlds like we learned about during Topaz's quest. I honestly think the whole situation that Qulipoth is in sounds like a plot that Aha would employ as a joke towards Qulipoth.

a common misconception ive seen of aventurine when he was first introduced was when people were comparing him to childe, which is really unfair for both aventurine and childe when you understand their motivations beneath the surface of their confident persona
I think his base is childe but they are extremely two different fellas. They do both love battle but childe enjoys blood shed while aven loves gambling. Both don’t care about their lives though.

Hell no, childe is freaking insane, he's so empty inside he only seeks violence and pointless battling to feel something. How can people even consider comparing Aventurine with that? He might have this mask sometimes but it was all to survive, he has suffered so much you can't even compare their troubles. Also Aventurine showed such a vulnerable and emotional side, something that childe has never done and probably never will (no, acting like a reckless fool to keep a spoiled child away from reality is not it).

I loved Aventurine when I first met him. He had this air about him that made me want to know more about him because of his flamboyant bravado. He came off as someone who knew more or was hiding something. I'm so happy I wasn't disappointed at all, and he's become one of my favorite characters.

When we first met Aventurine, most people hated him for what he was doing, but after seeing his backstory, it made everyone sympathize and love him more, Aventurine's story was really great from the beginning until it temporarily ended

I was one of the Aventurine haters at the very beginning if I am 100% honest: the way he came into the Trailblazer's room and was all weird and calling them 'friend' gave me the heebie jeebies. As the quest continued, I actually started to like Aventurine more and more, and now he is in the top 3 of favourite characters in HSR. It's almost funny how fast I changed my tune haha. Thanks for the video!!
I was 100% an Aventurine defender from day 1 (even to the point of going full yume with my love for him ahah)
He as a character was something that I really caught onto super fast as it's easy for me to catch onto if there is something underlying in what a person says, so I was definitely like "Oh. Oh dear. There seems to be some self worth issues in here somewhere." And despite the hate I saw I sat quiet and held on to see what 2.1 would bring and wow did I feel vindicated (At a price of a splitting headache post-crying AHAH!). Aventurine as a character was purposefully (and pretty nicely) written to catch people off guard, even his VA said he felt like he was successful in his intent when people told him their initial reaction to the character. He is a character that for some is a character that is written in a way that hits that "love to hate" spot people like for morally ambiguous characters, and without a doubt he won the hearts of SO many. This whole video was edited so nicely and hit the nail on so many great things, nicely edited too, even got me a little teary eyed when the one bgm from 2.1 started playing. Acheron being the emanator of Nihility has somewhat of an indirect influence about Aventurine's portions during 2.1
Acheron is a variant Raiden Mei whose is equally as powerful I'm sure in HI3rd but is forever haunted by her failure of saving her homeworld
Aventurine is blessed by the Giathra but is haunted, being the sole survivor of the Avgin clan due to the IPC's failed emergency response
Aventurine ponders what the meaning of life is if you are a blessed or powerful individual yet if you couldn't do enough to protect those you cared about. His plan to stage his own death via Acheron aka the Emanator of Nihility live for all of Penacony to witness would be his final gambit to at least provide purpose for the IPC before dying, while also repaying the support that Jade gave him. After that, he would be brought to Nihility aka the afterlife to reunite with his family & his clan
Acheron however does set his mind straight after his questions along with Dr. Ratio's advice to give him a newfound motivation to keep going & get to the real Penacony.

I have loved Aventurine from the very beginning.
With there still being so much to know about how Paths work, I wonder if perhaps, Gaiathra Triclops HERSELF is a Path? Kakavasha was born on a very specific day making his mother belief he’s born extraordinarily lucky and blessed by Gaiathra Triclops, and … this appears to be the case! But how? Well, Sigonia doesn’t have the Aeon belief system, instead they believed in their own Goddess. Recently Hoyoverse has made it abundantly clear that Aeons go by They/Them, and have even capitalized on this fact … literally, but they also did the same to Gaiathra Triclops, while addressing Gaiathra Triclops’s identity as HER, perhaps to clue us in that HER existence is as true as other Aeons, but HER existence still isn’t on the level of Aeons, it’s on a different level, the level of a Path. Gaiathra Triclops is the result of a worlds belief, and Kakavasha’s birth is surrounded by the belief of Gaiathra Triclops. Is it possible that Sigonia was able to create some kind of worldwide Path with their beliefs, if so, then there really is a lot more to learn about Paths.
So, is it possible that Kakavasha/Aventurine is blessed by the Path of Gaiathra Triclops, an Aeonless Path?
I actually thought aventurine was funny because he always acted like he was soooo mysterious and it was lowkey cringe, but he wasn’t the only character like that. Majority of the characters of penacony acted like that. I mean I didn’t hate it, but it made me laugh when they kept trying to be all cryptic around trailblazer who had literally no idea what was happening 💀😭

I never hated Aventurine, the only thing i hate about him, it's that he never came home, lost to himeko, but, since his first appearance, I loved his cunning personality, to me he is smart a f, as he did a magistral way to achieve his goals and he keeps his dignity until the end, even if Hoyo will always prefer put the waifus in a better light or show them more "cooler" as they did and always will do with Acheron on the scenes, he still steals the spotlight in my eyes, as his dialogues and monologues got me hooked even more, to me he was the embodiment of majestic ...but well, I'm a sus to talk about husbandos, i love all of them, even Sampo hated as he is by others makes me want to E6 him ... now .. waiting for the cowboy 🤠

Aventurine reminds me of Furina. I started out disliking them but now I love em so much.
I get he is a very sympathetic character and is trying to accomplish some big things, ultimately, but being creepy in Stelle's bedroom and not leaving when asked to was wildly sketchy BS, regardless. It's not really something easily forgiven, he'd of had a baseball bat to the cranium in that scene if the game had let me, and he would have deserved it.
Just because he's traumatized doesn't mean he's also a dick 👍 I don't hate him but even from the start I knew he'd be have a sad backstory, doesn't stop me from thinking he's kind of a prick. He's nowhere near my most disliked character but I don't particularly like the guy either.
Thank you, someone with a brain. I agree his backstory is tragic and the ending scene with his younger self close to beautiful, but he's still a dip shit character LOL. Too many people think tragic backstory equals good or interesting character.

Nobody can be wrong for disliking a character , it’s simply preference though I can sympathise with his upbringing and the ordeals he had to go through in life. His general behavior and attitude is not at all the archetype or kind of person I enjoy in games. That sentiment remains after your insightful video ^^, I’m glad each character can have a positive fanbase while maintaining also people who are iffy about them. Good characters are always polarizing to an extent

I've actually been obsessed with him since I first heard him talking to Topaz over the phone in that one trailblazer mission. I never could've imagined how complex of a character he was gonna end up being since at the time we literally only had one voice line of his and a lc he was in the bg of. It's great to see the overall consensus about him beginning to change since the story progressed.

I never hated him. I actually felt bad how most treated him harshly in 2.0, but oh, how I hate Penacony main story's writing with a passion.
Everyone talked cryptically and annoyingly. The need for a lot of subtitles for the names. Nobody talked like a normal person.
In comparison, I highly enjoyed Penacony side quests. Some like Cocona or the Actor, even managed to touch my heart quite a bit. The main story I just cringed at the writing, in all honesty.
I only find him a creep with how he approaches Stelle at the start. A lot of dangerous men do that to women in hotels so it personally set off my red flag.
I like his story and tear me up at the end of his boss fight. But seriously, never approach a woman like that or get the bat.

I believe people are looking at Aventurine's character with tinted glasses jsut because of his sad backstory.
His personality just don't click with me. His backstory is tragic, ofc but just how he behaves, just ain't for me. Great character in terms of game play tho, bro single handedly got me through the final stretches of Swarm Disaster and Gold and Gears.
Aventurine enjoyer since day one
My first impression of Aventurine was just of someone you cannot trust - and to be honest, that applies to everyone we met in penacony! The only difference is that he seemed to have some beef with people we wanted to trust. Aventurine's backstory shows us the human sife of him, but for me the whole 2.1 story goes beyond that. I don't think the backstory would be enough to love them, it would only be enough to respect what he went through and share some sympathy. What makes me really love this character is how brilliantly he pulled out his schemes, even when that meant sacrificing everything.
I can say he's not a character I hate, but even with his backstory, he isn't a character I like. I can empathize with his position to a certain degree, however, i cannot reconcile the fact that he is aiding the IPC in disrupting the operation of another faction simply because they wish to reclaim penacony for themselves. They are already the richest faction in the known universe at this point, they really do not need to take control of penacony, and let's say that they were in need of new worlds to spread their influence to, it would take much less effort to simply colonize or "aid" another less developed planet/system than it would to basically destabilize the government of another faction that wasnt really entering or engaging in an open violent conflict with them. Aventurine, despite his tragic past still chooses to play an active role in this process, I feel the same about Topaz as well. Though I can understand that business is business it kinda makes me view them in a less positive light when their tragic backstories and/or current circumstances really don't give them much of a sense of empathy or awareness towards the factions that they may potentially be ruining by meddling. However, I do have Topaz in higher esteem since in the end, she did relent in allowing Belobog to maintain its independence while also allowing them the possibility of evolving to be able to pay off their debt.

Don't feel bad about feeling that way with Aventurine, the way he is presented at first is sketchy (and with most Penacony characters), and then when we play with him, seeing his perspective, makes him more lovable.
I hope the same happens with Firefly, at first she's presented like a suspicious person and suddenly she is Sam, maybe today's update finally closes loose ends.
The thing about aventurine, is it's not just his backstory that is great. His character in itself stole the entire show in 2.1 (literally in a way). He makes a lot of decisions that are very interesting, we don't really know the entire extent of his plan, and he feels like the most human character yet. I just love his character and really hope to see him again when we go into the "real penacony" in a later version.
The 'death' of adventurine doesn't give the IPC any leverage, not really. He instigated a potentially fatal, very public conflict against a known eminator... No court or reasonable person would lend the IPC any additional sympathy points. The fact that Ascheron reveals herself as the eminator of nihility, the stark contrast to the harmony, makes the family's inability to protect the idiot even less of a liability. How can you plan for something that was universally agreed to have been impossible, an eminator of nihility?
I don't think you understand the story at all, there's no "sympathy points" involved. Penacony runs on the idea that they are an absolutely safe recreation planet where even death is impossible, Aventurine set out to prove that death is in fact possible to break down Penacony's cover ups of many other deaths before him.
This allows the public to apply pressure on the Family because of their lies, allowing the IPC to step in to further their own interests. In fact Adventurine was invited by the Watchmaker in the first place alongside other guests because the Watchmaker himself wants to break down the walls of lies built by the Family surrounding Penacony.

Knowing that an emanator can break the rules doesn’t overturn the family’s claims of security. It’s an emanator, the avatar of an aeon… plus, we haven’t been given any evidence that any of the three people have actually died. Firefly explicitly shows up in the last scene. What part am I not understanding? No amount of public pressure would allow the IPC to take over, especially when the IPC is a known hyena looking for any opportunity. Regardless, the IPC could just declare war. As seen with Topaz, they’re judge, jury, and executioner of any claim they make. Nothing revealed so far can really challenge them… save the Xianxou.

If that case was presented in front of any court, it’d be dismissed. Aventurine willingly brought that on himself very publicly, while challenging someone he knew was an emanator, the beings closest to gods that people can actually interact with in Honkai. Would you say the family’s security is incompetent for being unable to predict the impact of the only nihilist emanator to ever exist?

@@jackmanleblanc2518first of all i'd like you to question why hoyoverse writes stories about characters based on poc cultures always in some way revolving around racism and slavery and never anything else. not to mention the lack of skin diversity in their games. they focused solely on him as a slave and nothing relating to his connection to romani people. why wasn't anything about his people shown? their culture and lifestyle? his sister wasn't even given a name. the only thing they mentioned about these people is the travelling with wagons which is historically correct. mind you chinese people have been enslaved before but they never write such plot lines for their own characters. second of all romani people have expressed that the usage of their history of suffering without proper representation of the character does not sit well with them. they portrayed him as a money obsessed gambler and swindler something that romani people have been saying for years that it's a negative and harmful stereotype in media. i do not like positive stories only but i want at the very least people to research shit when they are portraying real people's history(painful one at that mind you) and culture. the usage of the equivalent of the g*psy slur in Chinese was the cherry on top of this god awful portrayal.

@jackmanleblanc2518 I absolutely love Aventurine, but I will say the fact that a *real life* slur was used and not a fictional one is what I see to be the main issue.
I'm absolutely all for these topics being discussed in the game but hoyo kinda crossed a line between commentating on the issue, and just straight up being racist if that makes sense.
It's a very sensitive topic obviously and I just think they completely missed the mark on what's okay with this kind of discussion imo.
And again I LOVE Aventurine. He is easily my favorite character in the game atm, it's just unfortunate how the topic was handled

I simply don't like how they just gave him a sad back story to make people not hate him as much as they did with Topaz when her back story was shown. the IPC are suppose to be these big jerks in star rail. every time we've encountered them it was never a good interaction and that was true for both Topaz and Aventurine but they tried to leverage that with their back story.
like they can't keep getting away with that. I swear if Jade follows this pattern as well it'll just ruin any expectation of decent bad character writing in the game. there are other ways to make bad characters likeable that isn't giving them a sob story. Like with Otto apocolypse in honkai impact 3rd. He would do anything to make the person he cared about the most happy and when they died due to a poor scheme he did. they dedicated their life to trying to bring them back. he was still evil and a 'villain' but it was easy to sympathize with them and be sad when he did eventually die in the story after accomplishing his goal.

Sadly the fact that Aventurine is obviously a well-written character isn't enough to stop a lot of people from hating him. People tend to hate characters that aren't at least 2 of these things: nice, agreeable, or cool/badass. Aventurine is none of those things. He comes across as a narcissist even though he isnt, but people are generally incapable of looking past the surface level and people HATE narcissists.

I respect and understand him but I still hate him for the lying and deceiving and the attempted murder along with forcing me out of the Sam fight. I hate black swan too and Sunday
What attempted murder? You're just making shit up now. Do you mean the boss fight? Because the entire time the only person whose life was on the line during Aventurine's plan was HIMSELF. The game goes away far as to spell it out to you that the only "chip" he's ever willing to sacrifice in his plans is himself, because he clearly hates himself.

On top of planning to have both Acheron and Sam kill each other or using us as pawns multiple times. At the end of the days there’s nobody he cares about other than himself. And I can respect that but don’t say he’s some selfless hero who puts good people ahead of himself
Hell even his act of charity was just to get information. Everything and everyone he uses is to meet some ultimate end. Even the nameless

Aventurine pushing Acheron to use her true power and everything else you said DOESN'T mean anything because the argument being made is not that what Aventerine did is morally okay or legal. What he did is morally not okay and is very much illegal irl. That doesn't matter! The argument is whether or not what Aventurine did benefits the IPC or not, and clearly it does. Whether Aventurine did the right thing or not, The Family's secrets are still at risk of coming to light because of him. Jade and Topaz still have bargaining chips due to Aventurine's "death" and The Family having their conferstones.
It doesn't matter if Aventurine himself is the reason why he "died" because The Family's trying to hide the secret of death from Penacony. They will do whatever they can to keep that secret hidden.
Edit: btw, Aventurine never allied with Sparkle. Did you forget that he told her he wasn't interested in that button she gave him and he told her to keep it? He was not an ally with her. He simply went to her for information.

I HATE! Adventurine, sparkle, Sunday, Black Swan and Dr Ratio and If this game had a morality system like Mass effect or KOTOR then I’d have killed all of them by now and become the IPC most wanted
