I think you guys confused Kota Ibushi for Okada, because Okada was not at Blood and Guts from what I remember
Megasus is actually the name Megan Bayne uses on the indies, so she IS actually an AEW wrestler, lol!! She's just back in the US after a spell in STARDOM!! She's waiting for AEW creative to give her a storyline.
My theory on Chsd not winning is that the plan was never for Gunther to lose the title at mania, if the plan was for Brock VS Gunther, Brock probably wasn't going to win, so instead of feeding Chad to Gunther they chose to feed Sami.
I like this theory! And I do think that it makes a lot of sense as well. I'm not sure if there's a better time for Chad to win it, though, considering the storyline and stuff.
I can’t stand the idea of just feeding Sami to Gunther. Like Sami is my favorite wrestler rn and I’m rooting for Gunther because I don’t want Sami to win. This is all just super dumb and makes no sense. This should’ve been Gable.
And Gable should be the one to dethrone Gunther. I don’t see why Gunther needs to hold the title any longer. He’s already proven to be super dominant and getting pinned once after this long of dominance wouldn’t destroy him. If anything all it does is put whoever pins him super over. Gunther should lose that title because he needs it lose that title before going after a main title and he should be the one getting pinned to. Gunther doesn’t need to beat Brock and retain the IC champ to look like a monster he already looks like one. If anything him and Brock can have a match some time after Gunther loses the IC title and he beats Brock and that can lead to him going into the main event picture.
This just doesn’t make sense for anyone involved. It just makes no sense for Sami’s whole story he’s got going on to go after a mid card title. Like Sami has already been IC champ and he’s too big for the IC title. He should be going after a main event title and winning one.
They should’ve had Chad start out the gauntlet match and had him run through everyone except for Zayn who comes out last but Drew cost him (this makes both Zayn and Gable look good). This makes sense because of their history and beef and this adds to that and could lead to Sami winning MITB this year (which is in Canada and he deserves a win in his home country) and eventually cash in on Drew and take it from him (Drew should definitely take it from Seth at Mania). Now this is what they should be going for because it makes the most sense for Zayn and Gable.
They dropped the ball on this. It’s way more personal for Gable then with Zayn. Zayn’s story is with Drew.
@@mariemielI understand what you are saying, but until a couple weeks ago he had not done anything all that meaningful since the Gunther feud in October. I think Chad will beat Gunther but they need to get him back to where he was in the fall. I could see him winning at Summerslam
They also have a couple PPV’s coming up in Europe so I think they would want him as a champion on those shows. Hopefully he beats drew at bash in Berlin for the world title
Gunther isn't about to lose the title until Ilja Dragunov leaves NXT (which will happen soon whether he loses the title to The Don or Trick). Gunther vs Ilja for the title will be a major match.
But who knows, maybe Jey is next after Sami
I always thought a tag team ladder match would be a cool way to "accidentally" have a title victory between two different teams (for example, say, like, Finn Ballr and Montez Ford each grab a belt and then they're somehow the champs together) but in this case they could also theoretically do something like that and afterwards use that as a kayfabe reason to split the belts (so like Judgment Day and Street Profits [or whoever] each become tag champions for one brand)

Out of all of the episodes of the pod, this is definitely one of them.
I think the issues for rock and Roman “not having enough time” are a few things, 1 rock & Roman don’t need to enter separately, 2 they don’t need to take like 5 minutes a piece for their entrances 3 they don’t need to have a like 5 minute aura off
At the end of the Tag team title match, one team can grab the Raw, one team grabs the smackdown. Boom. Titles are split :)

It'll either be Mercedes vs Storm or Hayter but I think the main event will probably be Ospreay vs Okada or somebody like that.
I'm going to the Dynasty PPV. That shit is gonna be crazy. Ospreay vs Danielson, Mone in her debut match, Rosa vs Storm, Strickland probably winning the title, new tag champs, and Okada on the card + a lot of other random matches. I'm so excited to go because I just know that show is gonna cook.
You should defend predictions title for Stand and Deliver Dante. Do both nights of Mania if you weren’t originally too.

Ospreay wouldn't have chosen WWE. Not now, anyways. He said in an interview that he wasn't going to make his wife and stepson move to the States after all they've been through. Choosing AEW meant they can stay in the UK with her family, so they aren't alone.

I understand the story is there with chad, but if they are not willing to take the title off Gunther yet then hold off on that match until till they are. It’s looking like Rhea and probably Logan Paul are the only champs who will retain their title at mania so if chad wins at mania he could be lost in a shuffle of Bayley, drew and Cody all having big celebrations

Here’s a clever way to split the tag titles in the ladder match, Awesome truth win their qualifier… R truth knows he’s a raw superstar so he thinks he’s only suppose to get the red ones😂 while he and miz celebrate, he sees his ex best friends in the judgment day upset. He gives them the red ones while he makes the decision to take the blue titles to SD with the miz
For the tag titles. I saw someone say u have truth go up take one pair of belts and he thinks the match is over then another team goes up takes the other belts

Tag titles could split at mania. 1 team will grab the SDL titles and someone will push the ladder before they take the raw titles. Judgement Day will grab the raw titles. I dont think they will put all 4 titles up there. Probably only 2, 1 raw title and 1 smack title.

My problem with Liv and Nia being involved is a HUGE No. only reason they gonna throw them in is Cuz Trips has no idea how to build Rhea vs Becks even tho its been teased for ever. Rather see Becky vs Rhea in a brutal match than 4way. We dont need multiple ppl matches. The ladder match,the womens tag, Lashley group vs Kross group. Plus Nia v Beck feud wil end on monday and NIa and rhea are done and Liv and Beck both ended their little beef for now. Whats next roman,Rock,Cody at WM.

WWE is trying to create a new Daniel Bryan. They tried it with Cody and it almost happened but Bryan was better since he was supported more in face and Cody was online(according to me). They are trying to do it with Sami.
They don't realize that Bryan's story had a lot to do with The Authority being ultimate heels (especially Steph and Orton) and Gunther and Roman have nothing on heel Orton and HHH (When it comes to being disliked, im not talking about wrestling ability)

At least now Gable can develop more of a story post Gunther match and Sami just telling his story of wanting to get his mania match is better than “you made my daughter cry”. Sami can go on and be a fighting champ with a new lease on life, Gable would have left still needing to be built up passed the Alpha Academy
The thing is Zayn just wants a title where as Gable specifically wants the IC title because he wants to beat Gunther specifically. It’s way more personal for Gable and he has way more beef with Gunther so it’s a much better story there then it is with Zayn and Gunther. This was Gable’d moment and he should be the one to dethrone Gunther. Gable’s story is amazing but they dropped the ball on it.
Like Sami definitely deserves a title but this ain’t it. Zayn should be going after a world title. Zayn has already been IC champ multiple times and he’s far too big to be going after a mid card title. It ruins his story going after a mid card title.

@@davidstratton696 for starters I like your booking idea that would have been a great but would leave Sami without a Mania match which would leave his vignettes pointless. Technically yea it should have been Sami vs Drew at Mania and probably Seth vs Cody but if Sami isn’t in the main event winning the IC belt is the next logical thing. Sami gets more hurt not having a mania match than Gable. Gable not being at Mania will give him the type of momentum, character building and fan support Sami wouldn’t get

I guess if he loses then it’s fine but I don’t like the idea of them just feeding Sami to Gunther (which is what it feels like). I’m just so mixed on how I’m supposed to feel.
U know I normally hate interference in matches if it’s done too much (like with Roman) and like they have made Gunther look strong by having him never rely on interference to win a match but this might be the one time where I think Drew should cost Sami the IC title match and then I guess that could lead to my idea before with Sami winning MITB but it’s definitely not as good.
Which btw thanks for the props with my idea. I just love underdog stories so much and Sami is the perfect one to give an amazing underdog story to (Chad could have a good one too).
Idk if Sami is gonna win a title it should be off of Drew and it should be a world title. But since Punk got injured Seth didn’t have an opponent so they gave it to Drew (which he deserves and should win since he deserves to win a title in front of a crowd) but of course that left Sami with no opponent.

1:03:30 I am going to assume that Sami is winning the belt and feel that the way they handle the Gable story is to have them build Gable a bit more over the next few months, going into maybe Summer Slam or Survivor Series, and then a few weeks before the event, they have him beat Gunther. Then they have him challenge Sami for the belt going "I've overcome my biggest obstacle, now I'm coming for the title."

There is no such thing as “just an internet thing.” WWE has proven that they respond to online reactions. Even Sami came out today and responded to the fans’ reactions. Overall, having Sami win was definitively, objectively the wrong decision. And it has nothing to do with Sami.

I don't see how it was the wrong decision. The original plan for Gunther at Mania was undoubtedly beating Brock to retain. If their plans require Gunther to continue holding the belt past Mania, why have Chad lose at Mania instead of Sami?
