Yup. When Paul E wanted to license music for the CD, he had to use covers because they couldn't afford rights to the originals. Same reason that it has Grinspoon's version of Snap your Fingers instead of the original by Prong.
This was actually pretty interesting to watch because there is an unwritten rule about wrestling themes that the first three seconds must be recognizable enough so that the audience instantly knows who's coming. Also that last one was devious. I repect it.
The only problem with that is most modern wrestling themes are like "rock song #25" or "Guitar riff #657" so generic that you cant really tell who is who from the first 3-4 seconds

I grew up watching wrestling ever since I was 3 and I'm still watching today and now i'm 20 and boy can I tell you guy's how much you brought my love back to wrestling even going out to buying my own wwe championship belt! I've struggled alot with very bad anxiety and depression and I can't tell you how much I wait for these videos because they truly do bring a smile to my face.
