Stunning mini and a great video, just a point when starting a classic mini never press the clutch down from what I’ve read it can do real damage to the crank thrust bearing

It was about 6:30 on Saturday morning👍 I lived downtown in the past. It’s a ghost town early morning on the weekends.

I would be very less inclined to rev it like that immediately after starting ! Best to let it tick over for about 30 seconds minimum following an oil change to let the oil circulate.

Before installing the oíl filter I always fill it up and then install it avoinding the engine runnning dry..

Nice... Have one electric fan on radiator ?
Yes it has an electric fan on the radiator. It also has the mechanical fan and an oil cooler but it still runs hot on hot days. I’ve tried using just the electrical fan or just the mechanical fan, but this combination seems to work best.

NO! Don't use these types with the hex nut welded on! They are know to fail! Just search the net for K&N Filter Failures.

Had to stop this playing at the point you grabbed that K&N "wrench off" type filter. These have a long history (at least back 8 years now) of failing at the tack welds on the hex nuts. Many stories on various motorbike and car forums of these failing, even footage of them failing in real time on a motorcycle track day event, sending the bike off into the run-off gravel. Please do not use these on your Mini! There are many types of filter wrenches to help removal, so the nut is not even needed. Some folks use that nut to torque the filter on, even though K&N specifically tries to tell buyers not to do that and just use it for removal. No matter if used to tighten or not, they are still failing. There was a recall on a limited batch run after failures reported, but even new batches still see failures. Not just "a solution looking for an actual problem", but a solution causing an actual problem where there was no before.
