Thanks for the tutorial. Very important to me. I have had my first ('26 Two door) Model T for a couple of months. Since it has been sitting and not running for several years I've been doing maintenance, cleanup, etc. I have never driven a Model T and this will be a new experience. Oh, what have I gotten myself into? I think the comment you made about not being like a modern car, more like a tractor, brought the hairs up on the back of my neck. But being adventurous I look forward to driving it very soon. Thanks again.

This is not what I envision for a proper assembly of such an Iconic motorcycle, no grease on the swing arm and rear hub bolts, old beat-up rusted fork tubes, a new chain on old sprockets and no air filter etc. ?? This bike deserves better I'm sorry bro

I own a '28 Hudson Super Six and thanks to u i know now how to change tyres. I had a small hole in the tube and went to a tyre shop, which wells classic tyres, but they had no idea about this rim and used a plastic hammer to hit the rim and get it in position. At the next day the tyre was flat again and i went to an other tyre shop, cause i didn't want, that they hit my rim again at this way and the next shop did the same. Now i^m done with this shops and i decided to buy a tool like this. I live in Switzerland and i will buy one on ebay.

Amazing. This kind of creativity and ingenuity really inspires! I bet that balance and weight distribution on it is incredible. One thing you could consider for the heat blocking for the header is two separate layers with a little bit of air space between them. I think that would do better than one beefy heat blocking layer.

Are you going to use the rear engine mount? It looks to me like you're putting an awful lot of leverage on the two front engine mounts by not using that rear mount; consider that there is a lot of weigh in the back of the bike powerplant, where the transmission is, and it wasn't designed to have that weight hanging only from the front mounts. Maybe it'll be fine, I don't know. But maybe you'll hit a bump in the road and crack the thin + lightweight aluminium engine casings, dump all the oil onto the exhaust and rear wheels, destroy the motor and start a significant oil fire.

I have to change the mounts on the front end of the transmission, any footage of that in your videos? Any tips?

You need a tune up , or some more spark power(take a look at a 123ignition), 20mpg is awfull, ive driven that route hard in my 1954 vw bus (1800cc, twin NDIX carb engine) and got 28mpg.

Its has that chinese tool look, not the prettiest tool. dont looks like anything hazet made.

This is awesome. I had a chain drive car too! 1969 subaru 360 van with a 600cc suzuki Kitana engine. I drove the factory trans with a chain. 24 forward gears and 6 reverse! Well done on your ride. It is very cool.

Thanks for simply demystifying the process. I just trades for a 2015 in the same boat. It had the belts and valves done at 10k miles but it's been sitting for four years with no use, so I want to put fresh belts on it just to cover myself.

The way to fix these pumps is to get dunk them in a bucket of diesel fuel and run in reverse

The start of a Model T and a Model A is the best sound ever!

I've seen probably thousands of VW Beetles in my time yet I've never seen a single Model T. The fact that I'm in the UK might have something to do with that. In fact, I didn't even know what a model T looked like, until today. I'd heard the name but had never clapped eyes on one. But, due to this series, I now know the model T inside out. I just watched the entire playlist from the begining. So glad you've made something back from it and it's now three years on. I'm hoping you may have even made your money back on the car. It really did surprise me how little value the model T has. Especially since I've still never seen one in the flesh. So it's only natural that I'd have thought they're quite rare.

It probably doesn't matter but you can tell those wheels are way out of balance. Simply by the way they're inclined to rock backwards and forwards. Doubt it'll make much difference to the driving experience given the low speeds involved. Great informative content though.

Something I really need to ask about is how do you stop in an emergency? The American roads give a much clearer view than what you would find in the UK. Loads of parked cars on narrow roads here. Would I just grab the handbrake and lock the rear tires?
