Looks so good. My mother and I always load up on coconut shrimp at the Chinese restaurants bc it's amazing. I am going to try this tomorrow and if it's as good as it looks I have a feeling my mother will have me cooking it everyday lol! And we love Mayo as well so that's a plus
Hahah, this is an American Chinese dish. I almost never saw butter used when I lived in Asia. Nor did I ever see anyone make this. That said, it’s popular here in the states
You have some really good ideas for me! I love to try new foods and my kids don’t always love it but I think they will like this and your delicious looking nugs!
Thanks so much! 😊 I try to throw in some family friendly recipes here and there. If they like shrimp, they will definitely like this recipe. Happy Cooking, UB
I've never seen a recipe like this -- the condensed milk made me do a double take. Very interesting. I'm sure it's delicious. :) Have a great day, UB -- and thanks for sharing.
Thanks for stopping by my kitchen again. The condensed milk adds the sweetness found in this dish as well as acts as a thickening agent. You should give it a try! You have a great day as well. Happy Cooking, UB

Hi! Awesome video - I've been looking for this recipe, and yours is spot-on! I visited your site, but can't find the written recipe; I usually write things down while I'm watching the video, but wanted to email your webpage with the recipe to someone. Am I missing it? Thanks!!
I love this dish so much. I am actually going to make it in 2 weeks I’m super excited. Just a question to confirm you take the tail off of the shrimp? Also if i needed more of the sauce can I just double or triple it and cook it all at once if I have a big enough pan? Look forward to this. Thanks
Hi Dawn, Thanks for stopping by my kitchen. I am so happy that you will be making this soon. Yes, I do remove the tail. I find it ensures your not going to get a small peace of one stuck in your teeth :) As for the sauce, I can't see any reason that you couldn't make larger batches. You just have to keep an eye on it to ensure you get the desired thickness and not a paste. If that happens, just add a little milk to loosen it up. Happy cooking and come back soon! UB
That's a great question. I'm sorry to say that I haven't gone over the nutritional values for my recipes. They are all based on creating great tasting dishes! Happy cooking, UB
Just attempted to make this. Followed the recipe precisely. This isn't anywhere close to the coconut shrimp I get at any Chinese place. I had to turn it into curry.
Sorry to hear that you didn't get the results you were looking for. I can only speak for the creamy coconut shrimp I get around my home. Would you mind sharing the name and city the restaurant is located? I would love to look them up and see if I could find the differences. Thanks for your comments. Looking forward to your reply. UB
@@babylette24 I used this one:amzn.to/3Ef3NlX . However, as long as it's unsweetened, you should be good. Delaware n Florida eh? Sounds like you have been around. That's awesome! I love to try food in different locations. Thanks for your reply. Wishing you the very best! Happy cooking, UB

Off course he had to add butter 😅😂
Working in a Chinese restraints finding butter is frustrating

Hi, Uncle Bill! New here! LOVED this recipe, made it for myself. My husband doesn't like sea food so it was ALL for me! :D

Chili must add❤ and curry leaves❤
Hmm i always thought you added coconut milk. I'm going to have to try this!

I use a rubber spatula to mix things or a wooden spoon or a rubber whisk.
That’s good too!
He’s basically saying in a nice way to never use metal utensils on non stick pans. Those calphalon pans aren’t cheap brother.
I've been looking for that white sweet sauce in a Chinese buffet I go to its small shrimp not fried but covered in sauce
Sounds 😋
This is the recipe I've been looking for. Thank you can't wait to make it.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoy this recipe. Let me know how it goes.
So I tried this recipe, following step by step. It was way too sweet for me.
What type of mayo did you use??

Sounds great. Lastly had two other questions. What brand of coconut cream and Mayo did you use? Is Goya and hellmans okay?
Also what brand of cooking wine
Am I correct in assuming this is a low carb recipe?? It looks all the carbs pretty much come from the 2 tbsp condensed milk
That's a great question. I'm sorry to say that I haven't gone over the nutritional values for my recipes. They are all based on creating great tasting dishes!

Salted or unsalted butter?
Unsalted

@@UncleBillsKitchen I have tried them between Delaware n Florida. Maybe it was the coconut cream. Is there specifics u used?

@@UncleBillsKitchen I'll have to give it a go again n hopefully it comes out better 😃
most places fry their shrimp i believe try more condensed milk or ad sugar when heating for the sticky effect
Delicioso! 😋
Thank you so much ❤️
