@@ovi2079 Hard to say, since we all have our own preferences. But after watching The Untamed with no female leads, this was refreshing with 2. Xuan Ji is a cute, powerful, yet smart lead, along with her side-kick sister. Lots of exiting reveals, so don't miss any details!
@@ovi2079 But if you want to get over Untamed, this probably isn't the best choice. Try: The Taoism Grandmaster, Fights Break Sphere, or Fighter of the Destiny. I liked them all as much as Untamed, if not more.

Extremely powerful love story. Amazing characters and story. Everything just works so well. I couldn't watch another drama for two weeks, because this kept coloring everything and other dramas fell short. It took a while to get over it. I'm here, watching for the second time after my first watch last year.

Rewatching for the fifth time. I’m someone who gets bored easily and has trouble finishing dramas. This Cdrama is mind blowing. The plot is literally genius, the main leads, their romance and chemistry is so amazing, it gave me so many butterflies and it’s impossible to get over them. The romance builds perfectly and the side characters are great but they never overpower main characters plot which I love about this drama.
This is my 2nd time.... The heartbreak I went through watching si feng for the 1st time was immense...to put me off for almost 5-6 months.. So I m watching this now only...

Don't skip this drama thinking it has 59 episodes and it's really long. trust me , you will really like this drama. You will feel this drama should have never end. If you survived through all the ups and downs in the drama without quitting in between , you are the best. Don't worry, this has a happy ending. It also has a unique plotline with a lot of twists. I'm an avid fan of Kdramas and Cdramas and I can say that this drama is the best out of the dramas I've watched. The story is great the OST is great the acting is the best of the best! If you're looking at the comment section checking if it's good. I can assure you the 59 episodes is still not enough. This story is just too good to end.
The entire production is excellent. The cast (entire team of actors and actresses), the male and female leads, the costumes, special effects, screenplay, the details of the set, and so many other factors came to make this drama a success.

This is my favorite xianxia. Aside from all the lovely cast, story, and character development, I appreciate this drama for featuring the voice of Liu Yuning for the opening song. I now listen to his music every day, he sang Colored Glass with such gentleness then power - a perfect intro!

I just started it on Viki but the ost won't stop playing in my head. The most beautiful lyrics of a song I've ever heard. I wasn't surprised it was Liu Yuning again. He's an ancient soul.

Agree the best drama ever that could be watch over and over. Still the best since it first came out. I love Cheng Yi, a very talented actor especially the part when he cry showing the character emotion, brilliant. Much praise to Crystal Yuan (Yuan Bingyan) for her briliant acting. Love both of you and all the characters.
I just finished this series, now I’m back rewatching it from the beginning. 59 episodes sound daunting, but there is no stupid side plots so you will be engaged the whole time. The main couple is so gooood. If you’re a fan of xanxia, this series is like a bag of chips you never want to finish, so addicting and delicious and hit all the sweet spot.

This was my first time watching this drama.i found myself glued to this n completed it in 4 days I had watched lots of cdrama n kdrama but this one is from my top 3 favourite I had literally never seen any emotional drama like this 🥺 Esp sifeng the character written is just soo deep n his acting skills are top notch he slayyed emotional scenes whenever he laugh i laugh n whenever he cries I cries too i truly finished a tissue box till the end of this drama😢😅 After watching this I never get emotional in my ongoing dramas n never cries even in the scenes I was supposed to. I started to be an admirer of dramas now in 2022. Mainly the Chinese ones. And Love and Redemption be on the list of one of my favorites. This was the only one that managed to make me cry several chapters in a row. All very perfect.👏👏👏❤❤

It gets better from here. I started watching on episode 23 and nearly finished, I have to say the second half is much better than the first episode. DONT STOP if you are in the first 10-20 episodes. I’ve never been addicted to a SINGLE drama until this

I had them explain everything to me, but yeah you could start there (or around that number), you won't miss too much if you read a summary. i went back and watched the first 5 episodes, thought they were sooooo boring. maybe start at 1 and skip if you don't like it

Many people think Crystal Yuan is not pretty enough but I think she is a natural beauty. U can see she doesn’t have much makeup on in her dramas but still look very beautiful.

Einfach perfekt - ich bin begeistert. Bisher war lange Jahre mein Favorit "Gladiator" und ich mag Russell Crowe. Nur durch Zufall bin ich auf CZcams auf diese chinesischen Fiction Phantasie Serien gestoßen und habe angefangen, sie zu lieben 🥰. Das Ambiente und die Kostüme sind traumhaft. Die Geschichten sind rührend und intelligent. Alles strahlt eine besondere Ästhetik aus, die hier im Westen leider lange verloren gegangen ist. Auch die Auswahl der Schauspieler scheint mir perfekt - jeder Einzelne spielt seine Rolle absolut auf den Punkt. Das Pärchen Xuan Ji und Si Feng ist absolut süß und passt ideal zueinander (das finde ich übrigens auch bei Wu Zhi Qi und der hübschen Fuchsfee). Selbst der Schurke Bailing sieht auch tatsächlich aus, wie ein Gott und kann perfekt ein "böses Gesicht" machen. Aber wenn er dann mal lächelt, geht aber mal so richtig die Sonne auf 🤩. Was ich super toll finde, ist, dass es in China anscheinend noch so richtige Schauspieler-Ensembles gibt, wie früher bei uns an Theatern, denn ich erkenne viele in verschiedenen Serien wieder und in allen spielen sie ihre jeweiligen Rollen perfekt. Das freut mich. 😁 ... für den Dämonen-König hier habe ich übrigens "Rotz und Wasser geheult", als er Tang Lian in einer anderen Serie gespielt hat. Ich habe jetzt schon einige China-Serien gesehen und dachte, irgendwann wird es mal langweilig werden. Aber nein... sie waren alle gut. Wobei "Love and Redemption" eindeutig die Beste ist. Ich liebe es, wenn noch traditionelle Werte vertreten werden (Freundschaft, Liebe statt Geilheit, Loyalität, Familie, Respekt vor Eltern und Lehrern, Treue, Disziplin etc.) und bin überwältigt, welcher Respekt den Schauspielerinnen entgegengebracht wird, indem sie sich nicht schamlos entblößen müssen und trotzdem sind sie hundert mal mehr in der Lage, eine erotische Szene zu kreieren (z.B. Badewannen-Szene oder Erklärung von Gefühlen durch Essen aus Teil 3), als wenn Jennifer Lopes ihren nackten Hintern vor der Kamera schaukelt... Ich habe diese Serie auch mehrmals angesehen, weil so viel Intelligentes und Bemerkenswertes darin enthalten ist (by the way, my Chinese has improved by doing so 🤣🤣). Alles in allem fand ich "Love and Redemption" einfach fesselnd und perfekt in allen Bereichen. Die Musik ist traumhaft, die Story ist spannend und intelligent und spricht alle Gefühle an von Schmunzeln, Lachen, Augenzwinkern bis Rotz und Wasser heulen - alles dabei. Die Schauspieler haben alle, wirklich alle einen ganz tollen Job gemacht, besonders natürlich dieser kleine Phönix. Obwohl er nicht ganz mein Favorit ist, habe ich trotzdem selten so einen sinnlichen Mann gesehen. Jepp, die allgemeine Begeisterung in den Kommentaren für diesen Cheng Yi kann ich gut verstehen. 😉Aber trotzdem, auch wenn ich Prügel kriege, Russell Crowe hat jetzt einen schweren Stand gegen diesen Liu Xue Yi 😂😂. Ach... und ehe ich´s vergesse: Zhongguó cái hen háo...😋🤤
I come here for the third times after finished watching this whole drama last month. And told ya, I’m having withdrawal symptoms after finishing it that I keep coming back to here. Idk about you, but I’m hooked with this drama. The best among the best, and it’s incomparable with other drama (at least in my pov). And if you come here for the first time and intend to watch, please go ahead and try. I was like that before, and it took me 4days straight to finish it because I’m hell crazy about everything in it. Everything is so perfectly written and portrayed. You will fall in love deeper with the characters (esp main leads). They did amazing job and the supporting roles are awesome. You will laugh, shy, boiling with anger, feel betrayed, cried your lung out and be happy for them. All emotions in one great drama. Trust me. I feel so thankful to have stumbled upon this drama and give it a try; because for god sake.. it’s truly great!

Also I’ve watched Dilraba in another one of my all time favorites Eternal love of dream (pillow book) so maybe that’s why it took longer for me to get into The Long Ballad. If you watch it you have to know it’s romance centered but not the main focus like L&R is

This is my first Cdrama that I have watched and I must say that I love it so far. It is a very beautiful story and Yu Sifeng is a gorgeous male character. I also love the main character Xuanji and her sister Ling Long. I love their bond together.
Yes, yes, yes! Can't believe that Chinese dramas can be that great! By chance saw Cheng Yi's fighting scene with the monster in 2023. That's it! Just watching Cheng Yi is good enough! Where did they find this talent? He is great beyond words! What's the saying, "watching over hundred times, still not tired of him!" He looks so young in this! In fact, the one who plays his father/teacher is a good actor too!

I'm an avid fan of Kdramas and Cdramas and I can say that this drama is the best out of the dramas I've watched. The story is great the OST is great the acting is the best of the best! If you're looking at the comment section checking if it's good. I can assure you the 59 episodes is still not enough. This story is just too good to end.

I just started it on Viki but the ost won't stop playing in my head. The most beautiful lyrics of a song I've ever heard. I wasn't surprised it was Liu Yuning again. He's an ancient soul.

I love Cheng Yi, a very talented actor especially the part when he cry showing the character emotion, brilliant. Much praise to Crystal Yuan (Yuan Bingyan) for her briliant acting. Love both of you and all the characters.
I just finished this series, now I’m back rewatching it from the beginning. 59 episodes sound daunting, but there is no stupid side plots so you will be engaged the whole time. The main couple is so gooood. If you’re a fan of xanxia, this series is like a bag of chips you never want to finish, so addicting and delicious and hit all the sweet spot.

Einfach perfekt - ich bin begeistert. Bisher war lange Jahre mein Favorit "Gladiator" und ich mag Russell Crowe. Nur durch Zufall bin ich auf CZcams auf diese chinesischen Fiction Phantasie Serien gestoßen und habe angefangen, sie zu lieben 🥰. Das Ambiente und die Kostüme sind traumhaft. Die Geschichten sind rührend und intelligent. Alles strahlt eine besondere Ästhetik aus, die hier im Westen leider lange verloren gegangen ist. Auch die Auswahl der Schauspieler scheint mir perfekt - jeder Einzelne spielt seine Rolle absolut auf den Punkt. Das Pärchen Xuan Ji und Si Feng ist absolut süß und passt ideal zueinander (das finde ich übrigens auch bei Wu Zhi Qi und der hübschen Fuchsfee). Selbst der Schurke Bailing sieht auch tatsächlich aus, wie ein Gott und kann perfekt ein "böses Gesicht" machen. Aber wenn er dann mal lächelt, geht aber mal so richtig die Sonne auf 🤩.
Was ich super toll finde, ist, dass es in China anscheinend noch so richtige Schauspieler-Ensembles gibt, wie früher bei uns an Theatern, denn ich erkenne viele in verschiedenen Serien wieder und in allen spielen sie ihre jeweiligen Rollen perfekt. Das freut mich. 😁 ... für den Dämonen-König hier habe ich übrigens "Rotz und Wasser geheult", als er Tang Lian in einer anderen Serie gespielt hat. Ich habe jetzt schon einige China-Serien gesehen und dachte, irgendwann wird es mal langweilig werden. Aber nein... sie waren alle gut. Wobei "Love and Redemption" eindeutig die Beste ist. Ich liebe es, wenn noch traditionelle Werte vertreten werden (Freundschaft, Liebe statt Geilheit, Loyalität, Familie, Respekt vor Eltern und Lehrern, Treue, Disziplin etc.) und bin überwältigt, welcher Respekt den Schauspielerinnen entgegengebracht wird, indem sie sich nicht schamlos entblößen müssen und trotzdem sind sie hundert mal mehr in der Lage, eine erotische Szene zu kreieren (z.B. Badewannen-Szene oder Erklärung von Gefühlen durch Essen aus Teil 3), als wenn Jennifer Lopes ihren nackten Hintern vor der Kamera schaukelt...
Ich habe diese Serie auch mehrmals angesehen, weil so viel Intelligentes und Bemerkenswertes darin enthalten ist (by the way, my Chinese has improved by doing so 🤣🤣).
Alles in allem fand ich "Love and Redemption" einfach fesselnd und perfekt in allen Bereichen. Die Musik ist traumhaft, die Story ist spannend und intelligent und spricht alle Gefühle an von Schmunzeln, Lachen, Augenzwinkern bis Rotz und Wasser heulen - alles dabei. Die Schauspieler haben alle, wirklich alle einen ganz tollen Job gemacht, besonders natürlich dieser kleine Phönix. Jepp, die allgemeine Begeisterung in den Kommentaren für diesen Cheng Yi kann ich gut verstehen. 😉Aber trotzdem, auch wenn ich Prügel kriege, Russell Crowe hat jetzt einen schweren Stand gegen diesen Liu Xue Yi 😂😂.

I come here for the third times after finished watching this whole drama last month. And told ya, I’m having withdrawal symptoms after finishing it that I keep coming back to here. Idk about you, but I’m hooked with this drama. The best among the best, and it’s incomparable with other drama (at least in my pov).
And if you come here for the first time and intend to watch, please go ahead and try. I was like that before, and it took me 4days straight to finish it because I’m hell crazy about everything in it. Everything is so perfectly written and portrayed. You will fall in love deeper with the characters (esp main leads). They did amazing job and the supporting roles are awesome. You will laugh, shy, boiling with anger, feel betrayed, cried your lung out and be happy for them. All emotions in one great drama. Trust me. I feel so thankful to have stumbled upon this drama and give it a try; because for god sake.. it’s truly great!

Also I’ve watched Dilraba in another one of my all time favorites Eternal love of dream (pillow book) so maybe that’s why it took longer for me to get into The Long Ballad. If you watch it you have to know it’s romance centered but not the main focus like L&R is

This is my first Cdrama that I have watched and I must say that I love it so far. It is a very beautiful story and Yu Sifeng is a gorgeous male character. I also love the main character Xuanji and her sister Ling Long. I love their bond together.

Yes, yes, yes! Can't believe that Chinese dramas can be that great! By chance saw Cheng Yi's fighting scene with the monster in 2023. That's it! Just watching Cheng Yi is good enough! Where did they find this talent? He is great beyond words! What's the saying, "watching over hundred times, still not tired of him!" He looks so young in this! In fact, the one who plays his father/teacher is a good actor too!
This was besttttttttt drama if someone doesn't see this than they miss the beautiful and deep heart love story and the best thing was it has happy ending as well
