Too bad,waited so long for this drama, seeing the leads together again, sadly after the first 2-3 episodes, it went down hills. To be honest, I really can’t recommend people to watch this boring drama. The storyline is dull, the costumes and makeup are really bad, the dialogues are stupid, basically everything is very poorly executed. It seems to be a low budget drama, or the people involved just didn’t care, I don’t know. They even used a filter to wipe out every expressions the actors have, to the point their faces sometimes looked blurry. 😢

I also personally like legend of Shen Li than Princess Agent. The story was decent, I like their chemistry 💓

Correct synopsis: In ancient times, many gods died but only one last deity Xing Zhi survived. Without emotion or desire, Emperor Xing Zhi had been living beyond the sky for tens of thousands of years. In a war between the gods and the demons, he saved the situation by himself alone. But after that, he refused to see anyone and was nowhere to be found. Several hundred years later, a female demon lord Shen Li was born with a pearl in her mouth.
On her thousandth birthday, she has arranged a marriage for political alliance. On her way to escape this marriage, Shen Li got attacked and transformed back into her phoenix shape. She fell into the human world in a coma with serious wounds. A vendor took her as a fat chicken, plucked all her feathers and put her on sale in a cage. Shen Li woke up to find herself in this situation and got so pissed that she collapsed on her back. As she felt depressed and desperate, a delicate man in black and white stopped and stared at her in deep thought, "I want this chicken." Just like that, the fates of the two people got intertwined closely because of this seemingly inadvertent trade.

This drama has lots of wisdom! At first watch, I thought it would be a boring encounter with two characters that drag on with their diagloue... but I am glad I stayed on and watched this drama. It reminds me of our life as a human is fleeting and that we are mortal beings that will have to endure old age, sick and death one day. If there is such thing as a afterlife, I would like to be reborn in the immortal world or escape samsara.
This is a stellar performance. I really enjoyed it. So happy to see both of them after Princess Agent❤
