  • These intersections in Westmount were very interesting! They are all fixed time but seem to be well coordinated with each other.
I walk around 4 separate intersections in this video and talk about each one and what I would improve.
    Thanks for watching!

That double red signal is cool, I've driven by it before! Glad to see its still kicking.

I finally had time to watch this video, very cool intersections! Really well coordinated, sad the warning sign didn't work, I wanted to see it too!

I absolutely love the coordination here! I'd say it's done very well.

A nice area. It's interesting how here in Montreal apparently you can't turn on red lights.

That's one of the most unique warning signs I've seen! That unfortunate that it doesn't work, but I kinda understand why since the lights are all coordinated, however since it's there, I don't see an issue with having it activate!

@@Gentrol it could have had a bad flasher in it too. I was surprised it never worked.

Westmount is bizarre like an Anglo-Canadian town somehow got lifted and transplanted into the city of Montreal!
So many signals in a small suburb. Also great to see Westmount signals having their own design instead of Montreal City's.
I visited some time ago, it was surreal seeing regular STOP signs instead of ARRET in staunchly French Quebec!
A real pleasant part of Montreal island though.

@@doubledoubleschannel1637 it really is! Montreal is already so unique and Westmount is even more unique! Completely different standards!

The light green color scheme is reminiscent of Boston's old style before they went all black

The lights closest to the sign with flashing lights has the same setup as a intersection in corner brook

Would you happen to know what those flashing green represents? I originally thought that a flashing green was a pre-warning that the signal was soon changing to a yellow, but shown at 3:37 I was wrong.

@@jadenthegreat07 in many parts of Canada, the fast flashing green ball (or arrow) represents an “advanced” green or protected green. It’s the same thing as a solid left facing arrow.
