- Chessel's Court, just off the Royal Mile in the centre of Edinburgh hides a dark secret: It's haunted by the ghost of the Lady in Black.
First encountered in the 18th century, she's still encountered to this day.
In this episode we hear about the original encounter that horrified the Gordon family and also two, more recent encounters including one from the fantastic John Tantallon from @northedinburghnightmares7533

Creepy ghost story well illustrated and told by the best Scottish accent on CZcams. I also suddenly crave pizza. Thanks!
Haha! Thank you, you're too kind.
Eleven.

It's the idea that this entity isn't really known or identified as well as a very vague backstory makes it a damn side creepier.
Nicely done.👏
Thank you. I was with John, who heard the footsteps last week. Swears by what happened. Very creepy.
Poor lost & confused Lady... seems like she might have regretted her decision.
I often wonder what links the heavy breathing to the apparition. If it's linked to her, what caused her to run up the stairs and stop where she did? and was that in the moments before she regrettably ended her life.
It was so nice of Mr Gordon to make sure his sister was OK before fleeing. Not !!!!!! 😂😂❤❤
Excellent spooky story ,It felt so sad from the start.Thank you for sharing 😊

As all ways, fantastic story telling. And thank you very much for no loud bangs lol. 😊
Haha! I turned the deep breathing down a wee bit also. Thank you again for the lovely feedback.
@@eerieedinburgh the heavy breathing was fine lol. It's the bang and the scream. Lol and your very welcome. Also even tho your fantastic, have you listened to Bleaki Blinder? I like him too. He just started out also. His are about mostly England. Ireland tho, there is just something about it besides its beauty.
@@tammydownes2413 I haven't, but I will give him a listen, thank you. I have to obviously mention North Edinburgh Nightmares, who feature in the last encounter. I love his story telling.
@@eerieedinburgh thank you very much. I will look them up. Hey wanna talk fate? I got a travel magazine and it's got Ireland in it. I am seriously in love. Lol beautiful pictures and sites to see. It's great. Oh and the magazine wasn't mine lmao. Gezzzz
@@tammydownes2413 I remember driving up to Kintail to go hillwalking with my friend. Kintail is about 5 hours from Edinburgh . We went to get some food from a pub, she walked over to the tourist information bit by the bar, picked up a magazine then opened it. She opened it on a page that had a picture of her at a ceilidh on the isle of Eigg. Mind was blown!
Great stuff..
Thanks John, I hope it helps encourage a few more people to check your channel out. Some really creepy stories on it.
Another classic video 👍😍 glad to see your channel is growing
Thank you so much 😁
Honestly - John is an incredible story teller and his collection of hauntings is fantastic. I've been on one of his walks round the Trinity area of Edinburgh and found it a great experience, full of local hauntings I had never heard of. He has a few books out also. Great reads.
@@eerieedinburgh That sounds interesting, I didn’t know he was an author must look those up 👍🥰
Loves this xx
