Jah know. I miss those years. NO more, never again. I pray and wish for them to come back. This posting made me cry. What happened to our country? The world. Thanks for posting the bitter sweet memories. Thanks CZcams for the opportunity to be able to look back. Sweet sweet Jamaica.. forever ☮️
So true 😢😢
I'm so so sad
L H....I KNOW EXACTLY HOW YOU FEEL.
💯👏
I was born in 1985 beautiful years of my life 😊😊
Precious memories of my childhood in Jamaica😪
Oh how I miss those days even though times were much harder for me but I still love and miss those days now most of my neighbors and people I knew and grew up with are now dead . The journey of life is so short and yet have so much good and bad memories Rip to all who are no longer with us
I use to go over my neighbors house to watch TV or when I go to visit my Aunt Pearl ( RIP) Never had electricity at my house . Home Sweet Home lamp the source of light . Proud of my humble beginning.
JBC, aka, ThevJamaica Broadcasting Station, was an integral part if my life, growing up in Jamaica...Tony Patel, Pat Lazarus, Erica Allen and Charles Lewin were ace broadcasters, who, were better than the current cadre of broadcasters...Likewise, the ads were unforgettable, charming and first class, and a cut above today's offerings...Because of the sign on and sign off times, one didn't take watching tv for granted, unlike today, due to round-the-clock broadcasting on numerous cable tv channels...Last, JBC should have retained its iconic name, and, while TVJ, aka, Television Jamaica, has become a household name, JBC was in a class and category all of its own, and the sentimental attachment my generation of Jamaicans have and will, always, have, for JBC, will never change...Thanks for this video!
TONY PATEL READING THE NEWS...I WAS ATTENDING PRIMARY SCHOOL THESE TIMES....I MISS THOSE DAYS...JAMAICA WAS SO NICE.
I miss those days!!!
The best days of Jamaican television.
THIS WAS WHEN JAMAICA WAS A PARADISE !
I remember these memories like it was yesterday bring back great joy watching 👍
When TV used to sign off 12 o clock 😂😂
And turn on back at 6 am....I think. Lol😂😂😂simpler days. Lol...I was a little boy back then, so me and my brother would always look forward to watch cartoons when it sign on back at around 4pm...Evening Time would start. Lol
@@alfashiioncreary3185Evening Time,I love that program very much....PBCJ usually shows it on Fridays at 6:00pm
I am just happy i was able to the full video before dem signed off!
I remember how JBC use to treat mi as a kid 4 o clock TV sign on and one cartoon that was a wicked low down dirty act
🤣🤣
Looooooooooo and spite us with sports before the news. Lindy delephena was the sports man and Dennis Hall read the news.
It wasn't 4 o' clock, it used to be 6 p.m. until 1 a.m. ^ that was a whole lot of tv to watch at the time.
Days of innocence
When jamaica did nice 😊
Really?
@@clarenceorr3820 for me yes
@@Miandmigod I guess I was still digesting the aftermath of the 1980 election. I agree some of those commercials brought back some great memories.
Jamaica did look promising
Dorraine Samuels in the Sheltocks commercial
Wow 40 years ago
Blessings to all
I heard that a lot of these commercials and other historical recordings of these days have been destroyed! Because of a lack of interest and absence of leadership being displayed by the present TV Station. They were left outside for the elements to destroy them!!
Jamaica mashup now.
I remember entering sudsil competition and winning a school bag.
I miss these days ❤😊
Red stripes used to have this contest in the early nineties.
SWEET SWEET 👏👍🇯🇲GOOD TIMES STILL SIPPING MY GOOD OLD RED STRIPE BEER🇯🇲👏💘
Interesting stuff! I'm from the U.S., but I love watching old commercials and international commercials are a fascinating look at life elsewhere in the world.
So Jamaicans really drink Red Stripe? I would have thought it was like Foster's in Australia; hyped for an export market with very stereotypical commercials about its country of origin but generally snubbed by the people who actually live there.
No way! Red Stripe was and still is JAMAICANS’ beer before anywhere else’s!
Red stripe is as popular as Pepsi here. I drink a 6 pack almost every weekend.
We love Red Stripe here. Its the best
Is that young Milk in the Colgate commercial??
Did you all see the car you can win? You would have à problem giving that away today. Point of interest also. The ladies wore clothes in the advertisements.
Old Tarrant Primary School days. Kingston College after that lol.
FORRIS mi Idren!
