Just drove through Lincoln yesterday. The courthouse was closed unfortunately, but you could still feel the history just passing through. It's like stepping back in time. Pretty incredible. Thank you for the video.
But to address Drew's theory.. The reason he would wait? Is that if he shoots Bell outside, wide open, he is still shackled, and now needs to make a wilderness getaway while shackled at the legs, in what would likely become a "shoot on sight" scenario. HUGE disadvantage and the OPPOSITE of ideal. Strategically, waiting until he was inside gave him cover, gave him the high ground, and thus, the strategic advantage. That advantage allowed him the time needed to address his restraints before fleeing. Pretty basic shit. @Brian Kelly I am interested to know what you think of my theory with this, you being former military and in law enforcement and all.
@@briankelly147 Having had New Mexico wind ruin the audio on some of my own videos, I've found that using a clip on mic can be a big help. I think I've seen a couple of videos you've done around Lincoln and the audio has been a bit of an issue.

Thanks for this video tour! I’ve got to get to Lincoln one of these days and see all of these sites. If those walls could talk...
There is no other town like it!! You have to go!!
Drew Gomber is the MAN when it comes to Billy The Kid, in my opinion.
I didn't know Billy shot him again from the balcony. Wow! They say he wasn't a cold-blooded killer but that sounds cold-blooded.
He shot Bell on the stairs. Ollinger came running over because he heard the shot and Billy shot him from the balcony
@@andrewrobert5019 Billy shot him first thru the window. This guy is saying Billy shot him again from the balcony after he was already dead.
I didnt either. It was the best trip ever!!!! 🙂
great video and nice chats with Herb and Tiffany, what was the single shoe in the glass cage ?
I dont remember seeing a shoe in a glass cage...Guess I need to go back and watch my own video 😁
What part of the video was the shoe in?
@@briankelly147 it was at 6 minutes 55 seconds to the right after you walked down the stairs
I called the judge just now...he didnt remember it either. I will call the museum in Lincoln and find out. Now I am curious.
I use to live In capitan nm and know Lincoln !like the back of my hand and I'm related to billy the kid
How?
Herb goes up those stairs like an 18 year old. Not ven out of breath when he got to the top.
No way Bell lost that much blood between the time he was shot and when he started down the stairs.
There was a quite a bit of blood at the top of the stairs revealed by luminal.
C'mon man the audio blows with the old man. Great story line. But watch or listen?
Lol
