The algorithm is going to hate this title. But solid information about the history. Thank you Karl
And if it was people simply playing with their kids their ain't nothing wrong with it. Don't gotta be hateful to prove a point.
Well it got recommended to me today dec 33 2020 at 1:00am
Keeping this largely forgotten history or miss remembered history accurate and alive is important.
I love the old west vignette videos. They are some of my favorites. PROUD to be a patron of this channel.
Thank you for being a patreon.
As someone who since my earliest memories was fascinated by the old west but have not been able to visit myself, I really appreciate these straight forward guided tour esque videos on location thank you.
You brought up details about the ambush of Sheriff Brady and his Deputy that I had never heard before.
The more we learn about Billy's life and the injustice he faced, the more tragic and sad his life was. He really had few choices other than what he did.
I grew up in Arizona and New Mexico on these stories. Thank you for this! Lincoln county war is a fascinating piece of history.
SuperOtter13. I was born in Springerville Arizona and raised in Phoenix
The hidden history of the regulators trying to stop the guberments secret take over using the secret society of free masons
I really hope this is just part one and that you will be continuing the story.
I could watch your history series all day Karl, excellent story telling and always interesting episodes. Thanks again my man. 👍🏻🤟🏻🙏🏼
Damn these red dead redemption 2 side quests are really good.
I love these vids. So much happened in such a short amount of time in "the west", a wild time to be alive.
These videos let me see places that I read about when I was growing up. Billy the Kid always stood out for me; living so hard so young and then Pat Garrett turning up in the middle of the night. A great video, thank you very much.
I read the book Billy the Kid written by Robert Utley which seems to be a very accurate account of his life several times and started to become very interested in his life. I watched the Young Gun movies and enjoyed them as well. Last year we went to Lincoln county and seen where it all took place and went into the old courthouse and Tunstell store etc. It is a wonderful place of history and should always be preserved and not lost/forgotten. We also went to Hico Texas to see the controversial grave of Brushy Bill that you see in the opening scene of Young Guns 2. There is a museum there as well of course it is small but interesting never the less. Great Video I was surprised to see anything on this subject 👍
Your stories on location are always my favourite videos, and on of the most unique things on CZcams. Still sometimes rewatch your Old West Vignettes, keep it up!
Shared! I’m ready for all the other stories. Lol. Love InRange history.
Great video Karl, love these vignettes. Personally think they're my favourite of the videos you do on the channel.
Thankyou for sharing your passion for history with us Karl. My favourite part of InRangeTV.
thank you!
I just finished up all the Old West Vignette videos a day or two ago and you guys put this out, love it! Can't wait for more
"DID YOU SEE THE SIZE OF THAT CHICKEN?!?!?"
"It's you and I."
That line has been stuck in my head for many years.
Reap the whirlwind Brady, reap it.
We're in the spirit world asshole, the can't see us
Cool old west history! Thank you inRange!
Karl, Thank you. Really enjoyed this. And most other In Range content. But really liked the look at the history
Well done, as all of your other historical video essays Karl. I look forward to the next one sir with great anticipation!
Great video Karl! I really enjoy the "on location" history that you present from time to time. Thank you for expanding my knowledge.
I love these history clips fellas.. keep them up
Regulators, Mount up
These vignettes are some of my favorites on this channel, great content.
I love these videos, so much fascinating history in the US. Thanks for continuing to make them!
John T was only 26 years old when he was killed.
Wow! So young.
I believe he was only 24. Still, way too young.
I do like this sort of content!
Brilliant! Remarkable!
The narrative, the photos and recommended reading.
Looking forward for more.
I love these old west videos. They're the reason I subscribed.
I thoroughly enjoyed that. Thankyou for making such good content!
Very interesting stuff, I dig the looks at historical events on this channel!
Love these! You could do them more often and it wouldn't hurt my feelings at all!
Great video. Thank you. This content is awesome. Please keep it coming. Looking forward to the next one.
Always enjoy your historical lessons, Karl. Thank you
Still my favorite InRange content! I need to get out to the Southwest some time soon.
Please do more of these! They don't get as many views but they're super interesting and we can tell you're passionate about it.
I am suddenly feeling the need to collect all of these vignettes and other sources all together into a playlist called, "The Lincoln County War."
I wonder if a movie could be made about the topic ;p
Karl: ... much more bloodshed to come.
Me: excellent, I'll get the popcorn.
Keep doing these videos Karl!!! So good!!!!
Nice one Karl. I'm looking forward to more installments 👍
I was just there!!!! I went to see the Trinity site in October, and hit Lincoln on the way. Cool little town. Thanks for the video Karl!
I enjoy your historical content. Thank you!
As always Karl your vignettes are brilliant
Great overview and I really appreciate the incorporation of the latest research regarding Antrim's family and his early life. There's so much about this guy that is romanticized or just plain wrong.
I love InRange history lessons. It's a bit early for me but hey, I got time to learn me a thing
Really excited for this series!
That wind filter is doing a fantastic job, thanks for thinking of the viewers and making the upgrade.
Really enjoy these historical vids, thank you Karl
Great episode, guys! Been to Lincoln myself, so much history there and tons to see! Quite a little place 👍
Love these videos!
Now we get to look forward to a new series of one of the most famous (infamous) sagas of the Wild West era. I for one can’t wait, thanks Karl.
I really enjoy this series and this topic. Can't wait for more.
Very cool. I've always had a deep interest in the Lincoln County wars and Billy the Kid in particular. Good stuff Carl.
the lincoln, NM police benevolent association has issued a statement condemning this anti-police video and stating that brady and hindman have been cleared of all charges of wrongdoing in a thorough 3 hour long investigation by the lincoln, NM sheriff's department.
dirty cops
Apropirating history technically not directly related/descended to their current offices; so what has or will come out that some of the more recent officers have allegedly done which could be thought of as abusing their badge/office, which requires a 'historical statement of an exoneration', which could be allegedly used towards helping them in the eyes of the public around them??
Keep it up Karl. Good stuff.
Great stuff! Please continue :)
Having grown up in ruidoso NM in the 70's, even though I have never liked Billy the Kid, I have always been a Tunstall fan, so seeing a monument to Sheriff Brady and Hindman made my blood boil to see such a thing for corrupt law enforcement. Btw, my great great whatever uncle was Jim Greathouse (not Jenny as that silly movie portrayed). To those on the other side of the fence, just remember this event was over a 130 years ago and most of what happened has passed into the myths of time.
This is great karl, I love the history of the Lincoln county wars. I also enjoyed the history of Billy the kid that I didn't know. Thank you karl.
Thanks for visiting my home state! Love your work!
Thank you!
Very interesting. Thank you for sharing.
Valuable and informative, thank you.
Thank you Karl and any assisting persons, family, gofers (go for this, go get that...) etc.
I really do find your historical & foody output, insightful, well delivered and actually on location(s) (or as close as can be to it/them), a great and apt counter balance to your other great content; dang it Karl ;) it sounds/reads like I'm blowing virtual smoke up your keaster, apologies if so inducely felt, but rightly needed indeed IMHO.
P.S. I hope you 'get' my humorous typings
This was an awesome history short. Thank you
Love the unspoken or lesser known history videos.
I’m glad I got the email from Patreon telling me about this video because it didn’t show up on my feed and when I went to find it. I was for some reason Unsubscribed from this channel.
This series is one of the main reasons I’m supporting the channel.
Still loving these, they need to get more attention than they get.
Thank you for the video, nice to see you in New Mexico! I crossed over to the dark side (Arizona) for mining business this weekend myself.
I enjoy your Wild West historical narratives. Thank you!
As a Brit, I'm always rather surprised that the most passionate CZcams videos about US history involve firearms. As a nation you've brought the world so much more....and thank you. Really, Thank You. The industrial scale production of Penicillin was developed in the US from fungal spores from a street market in New York. The first men on the moon were Yanks. Deep sea exploration, that was you guys. Moby Dick. The Wright Brothers. (We'll forget about Twilight). And before you ask.....I have shotguns, rifles and pistols. Here. Legally. In the UK.There's no further point to this.....I'm a little pissed on homemade Gin.Cheers.
Good yarn. Keep up the good work.
Bob Boze Bell of True West magazine has a magnificent take on these events. You can find them on the internet. I highly reccomend Bob's description of the events. He also has illustrations of the fight in the town. "True West" magazine.
Love the History, keep it coming
Great historical accounts. Thank you.
I love western movies and old books like Riders of the Purple Sage and Morgan Kane series.
Thanks these videos, much appreciated!
Not sure how old you are but most young people have never even heard of Zane Grey. My grandmother had his whole collection in hardback when I was younger and I grew up reading him.
@@korbell1089 Not old enough fortunately to have bought any of those Zane Grey books new, but my father's attic was a treasure trove in the nineteens :)
Just discovered your channel.....its great viewing for a Brit👍👍
Awesome video
Great video!
Good stuff it’s definitely got me interested in the Lincoln county war
I wonder if Sarah Noir lives in Karl's glasses, because that's the only place where we seem to ever see her, sadly...
Thanks for a good video!
These vignettes make me want to move to Arizona. I’ve not just the history, but the landscapes are quite pretty
I’d love to see more Billy the Kid content.
I wish the history channel would give you a show, I could watch a ton of these
Billy the kid died in my great great great great grandfathers house. He also saved one of my relatives.
Pete Maxwell's house?
Thank you for the history lesson, it was great 👍
Great video
I hope there are some follow-ups to this. Very interesting.
I liked & subscribed. It showed up in my CZcams feed.
Loved my time in Arizona, Sierra Vista area, have always wanted to come back and visit the state.
Excellent video. Does anyone know the guns used in these shootouts?
Have you done a vid on the mad trapper of rat river
Great stuff
Great stuff.
Loved Billy the Kid since I saw Young Guns as a kid! brilliant to get more information, thanks!
Awesome place to visit as well. Brewery in town that makes some excellent beer as well.
I guess it had to be based on something but Open Range seems to get a lot of themes from this story.
the best free content on youtube. im not american but i love the vignette vids.
These vignettes are brilliant. I'll put them on par with canada vignettes.
Billy was healthy enough to run around and actually rush the door at Blazer's Mill 48 hours later. To go from nearly bleeding out to sprinting around Blazer's Mill two days later, in my mind, points to it being French that had the severe wound and being the one hidden under the floorboards.
I agree.
Good honest community work
