It absolutely is science you’re just doing it mindlessly.
Inconsistent mixture = Inconstant results
Everybody has their own opinion. You know what the saying is on that
Don’t be a Caron we have enough of them already
The jug were missing it in has two measurements on it 1 gallon and 2 gallons so you fill it up to the 1 gallon with water and you fill it up to the 2 gallon with the bleach put some soap in it you’re done where is the science and that the Mark is on the job I don’t have to get a measuring cup
Did you see Lowe’s has the five gallon containers now! You need to get the back pack sprayer! TS across the street from Lowes has a nice Dewalt one that for me has held up to the bleach. It has a nice brass tip. I try to do roofs a day or two before a rainstorm; the product really excels overnight!
Thank you for that I appreciate that bit of information and I’ll be going to Lowe’s tomorrow and trust me I’m gonna look for that backpack 5 gallon that would be a lifesaver. I’ll stop by your channel for sure I’ll definitely hit you up I wanna see that. Can you just share a link to your channel on my channel I’d be glad to share it and also I would be glad to would be a subscriber
@@Drewsroofingandhomerepair Sorry, I wasn’t a little bit more descriptive in my comment. The 5 gallons is the Outdoor 30 Second Cleaner. The back pack sprayer is at TS and is 4 Gallon capacity!
Although, I haven’t posted a lot of content on youtube; definitely subscribe! As I have a bunch of video I need to edit and post over the coming year!
Awesome video
Thanks for the visit
Not only like your videos, I like you too! I have subscribed and looking forward to seeing more!
Thank you simpleman. I love to show my work. And I really appreciate it when someone likes 👍 what I do
At least get yourself a battery powered 1-2-gallon sprayer. Also, pro-tip, spray the bottom 2-3 rows of shingles before your runoff reaches the bottom. Instead of a thin stream hitting the gutters, it will diffuse into the wet area, and you'll have less runoff, and it's easier to manage. Rinsing is necessary in a lot of cases. If you have no gutters, you should definitely rinse the bottom 6 feet. A heavy dew or very light rain will be enough for the residual sodium chloride (aka, SALT) wash off and drip on any plants below. You'll get a thin "line of death" and you'll end up with nice Azella bushes with lush green leaves in the front and black, and about an 8-inch dead streak under the drip line. If you rinse heavily for the bottom 6 feet, and rinse the plants well, by the time you get enough dew or light rain, it will take a lot to get enough salt down to harm the plants. If the homeowner has an irrigation system, they can set it to run and help in some cases. The bleach will not void your warranty, but if a shingle manufacture has a warranty claim, they may ask for several sample shingles from the roof and they will send them to a 3rd party unbiased company to check for damages. They can probably tell if you used some kind of detergent because detergents will break down petroleum products and asphalt is a petroleum product. I'd love to see a letter from a shingle manufacturer saying to use a detergent. Most only say to use bleach and water because so many surfactants can be harmful to asphalt.
Another great video best roofer around
Chris is my no 1 fan. Thank you Chris. Text address again
@@Drewsroofingandhomerepair will do just texted u the adress love all yall do

@@Drewsroofingandhomerepair okay sorry didn't mean to send so many times sorry I'm glad to be your number one fan thanks for having me on your adventures
Super video and info
Looks wicked Drew
It works great
Wonder if using a paint sprayer would save you time they also make airless paint sprayers too. Lowe’s has one HomeRight Power-Flo Pro Electric Stationary Airless Paint Sprayer
Item #492369 |
Model #C800879
$439.52
Pumps the fluid right out of a bucket non stop. May be a good idea for more productivity to cover more surface area faster. Also can get copper or even zinc sulfate powder in bulk that they use on farms ..to mix with water to help stop mossy regrowth ..if it was mixed with something like a sealant.. just throwing out ideas for myself.
helpful video thank you🩵
I don’t have a paint sprayer. I always use a roller you can spray it on.
Is the big blue container 10% or 12.5% SH? Been enjoying watching all your videos!
The big blue container is 12.5 SH thanks for watching when I use regular bleach like at Lowe’s. I will go straight bleach and soap and rinse it off after the back because regular bleach is only 6%.
@@Drewsroofingandhomerepair Thanks!
Straight 6 percent bleach with 6 or 8 ounces of bleach. Let it sit 15 to 20 min rinse off and touch up any dark spots after that
@@Drewsroofingandhomerepair So, we'll need to rinse the bleach off the roof if it's only 6% SH?
Awesome video my friend
Your the best LOVE 💕
Your the best LOVE 💕
Nice video...thanks
You’re welcome Rich I hope they help you in someway
Do you buy a lot of the lowes outdoor bleach and put it in the big blue bleach container or do you buy the blue container with bleach inside of it already ?
I buy from industrial chemical company. It is cheaper for me as I do this often.
8 to 10 gallons of bleach. Mix with a gallon of water put 4 ounces of dish soap shack it up. Spray it on
Don’t rinse leave it on
Oh great a troll commented
Happens all the time
Get a 12v pump. This was painfully slow
I want to show people how to do it on their own. I have a Devlon pump I can pump 5 gallons a minute out there. This video is only to show homeowners if they want to do it himself. You are correct this is a slow process painfully slow I agree. But if you are a homeowner without a pump sprayer this is the way you can do it
No fall arrest equipment, wet roof... just waiting for disaster.
If I fall off a 4/12 roof with sandpaper under my feet I deserve to fall off. I do appreciate your concern
Wasting a lot of time with that sprayer
Foam cannon is the best way I’m just trying to show a homeowner how to do it himself with a spray bottle
@@Drewsroofingandhomerepair foam cannon isn't needed either. Gas roof pump turned down a bit and the red gun all you need.
Is this something that a homeowner could get a hotel or would want to have just laying around that’s my question. I’m thinking we want to show them something that they can buy at Walmart and do that roof. I agree the way you’re seeing me do this is absolutely crazy for a roof washer but for a homeowner it might be the only way thank you for your comment I appreciate you stopping by my channel. Keep up the good work my friend
