The only two companions being female; we haven't had that since Tegan and Nyssa back in season 20. Martha and Donna in the Doctor's Daughter don't count as that was a one-off, same with Mel and Ace in Dragonfire.

I hope it’s back for more than just eight episodes, we were cheated out of five episodes that could have really fleshed out the Doctor/Ruby dynamic.
Season Two needs to be back to the “normal” thirteen episode season.

I think Ruby's Dad HAS TO be important. That needs to be the big mystery and we need an explanation for things about Ruby that the finale failed to deliver. So many plotholes, to the point where people cannot possibly hate on Moffat, anymore.

Will nicola coughlan be next companion? And I'd like to see harry Edward melling or ty tennant play next doctor because they are grandchildren of peter davison and Patrick troughtion also I love harry Edward in harry potter movies?
Nicola Coughlan seems to be a temporary companion for the Christmas special this year. Varada Sethu is going to be the next mainstay companion

Agreed! I've liked all the core actors in recent years. I honestly like Jodie Whittaker and Ncuti Gatwa as Doctors, and I like all the companions too, but the writing has been abysmal, full of preaching, grandstanding and plot holes. Lately if feels like I'm being forced to watch partisan general ED videos like I had in college. Doctor who should be fun! Not preachy, and certainly not homework.

Is season 2 going to be the end for doctor who as RTD only signed a 2 years contracts with Disney. Will BBC take over from Disney for season 3 and beyond.

Can anyone remember when Doctor Who was just about great time/space adventures..(urr..the classic series).and not about family issues,, something Russell and the current past nuwho producers clearly try to make it into a bloody soap opera..... stop making the show into an East Enders or Hollyoaks soap type crap

And all the other companions had some kind of drama in their human life.
