- Matt Smith talks about David Tennant as the Doctor as he guesses lines from his well-known roles such as Daemon Targaryen in 'The Game of Thrones' spinoff, 'House of the Dragon,' 'Doctor Who,' and Prince Phillip in 'The Crown,' as well as 'Last Night in Soho,' and 'Terminator Genisys.'

Him not knowing his own Doctor Who lines is the most Eleven thing ever 😂😂
Rule 1 the Doctor lies and as the moment points out "the man who forgets."
Tbf, it was 14 years ago or whatever
"I will not forget one line of this. Not one day. I swear. I will always remember when The Doctor was me"
@@edwardlewis1119 That he violated this in the first sixty seconds still has me on the floor howling.
the fact that after eliminating Amy, River, and Misc Alien, he instantly zeroes in that its A Christmas Carol. Poor Rory...
*Unless* he remembers everything he said to Arthur, so he knows its not him lol
"I will not forget one line of this"
"Not one day...I swear"
😂😂😂😂😭
I will always remember when I said these lines
Right 😭
@@robinsc9718 Rule 1 the Doctor lies and as The Moment pointed out 11 is "the man who forgets."
Matt seemed like he was the only one having fun in Morbius.
He just has the correct attitude.
It doesn't matter how silly the movie is. If you accepted the pay check then give it 100%
I think he has fun with everything, that's the vibe he gives off
@@bobson3014 An attitude that is lost on many. It's not going to happen. But ever since I saw him portray Mr Clever taking over the Doctors body. I wished he'd get cast as the Joker. And he's the right age for it. Because of Damian, Batman in the DCU is going to have to be in his late 30s early 40s. Unless they change it. Where Bruce during his last year of training with Ra's and got Talia pregnant right before he left to return to Gotham. And if Dick has only just become Nightwing, maybe Jason was Robin for less than a year before he died. Then he could be early 30s.
If we get the whole Bat-family and he had Jason and Tim living with him for a few years. Bruce will need to be around 40. And Batman and Joker works best when they are about the same age.
@@bobson3014 You're correct.
@@bobson3014 That is right, you either deny the role, or take the money and commit completely, in general half assing it is the worst way to do it.
"I will always remember when The Doctor was me"
Him as The Doctor was just legendary, guy absolutely nailed it. From the first episode can still remember hes sat there all clumsy eating his fish fingers to then deliver the “must be one hell of a scary crack in your wall” line and you think yeah he aint just here to fuck around 😂
Yes the best doctor ever to me AND ALL OF THEM ARE PERFECT and deserves all the hype then when his era becomes famous worldwide
the dude's really an underrated actor
"I will not forget one line of this...I will always remember when the Doctor was me."
The test determined that was a lie, Matt.
the doctor lies... thats rule nmr 1 lol
@@kamalishim cracked it
He’s “the man who forgets”, according to the Moment
Matt Smith is embracing his Daemon Targaryen era and I love it.
41 years old and he already packs so many iconic characters, the Doctor, Daemon, Prince Phillips. He will be one of the greats.
He already is ❤
Definitely one of the greatest TV actors of his generation
I think it's cute how he immediatley knew "can I have an apple." any other person would not have been able to do that there was no context and yet: he stays true to the line. "I will not forget one word of this."
Matt carried HOTD in the last season. What a Screen presence and aura
Carried would imply the show is bad or mediocre and he's the only redeeming quality. He's incredible in the show and brings something fresh to the world where you thought that you had seen every shade of grey. Unlike most characters who gets to show a progression of shades of gray moving to becoming either more good or bad. Ignoring season 8 where the problem isn't so much the characters action as to how they get to those action as if you were speedrunning a video game after having added fast travel to season 7. Damon is able to pingpong between a lot of extremes that should feel like his character doesn't have any consistency, yet the writing and his performance makes it believable and adds complexity to his character who by all rights should not be someone you root for at all. He has a lot of the qualities of characters we hated in GOT, but his others balances it out just enough to where he's very entertaining to watch but you'd never want to hang out with him.
@@dcworld4349 Omg you truly are his greatest fan 😂 🖤
@@samahakhan5623 Granted River said it in the presence of 12 but it still applies they are all the same person. "When you love the Doctor, it’s like loving the stars themselves. You don’t expect a sunset to admire you back.”
Paddy was a powerhouse in it. Such a great show.
This man has one of the most chaotic and unhinged energy… yet he’s thoughtful and charismatic. My love for him knows no bounds.
Real hell always be the doctor that I grew up with, he’s like everyone’s cool uncle
@@The-Busy-Beeeee I liked all of The Doctors but Matt’s Doctor is my absolute favorite. The Eleventh Doctor stole my heart.
@@Gloria0667 I think in the run-up to his sendoff, the DW channel said some of his greatest traits was his "graceful clumsiness" and his "clumsy grace".
Add that manic energy with Karen Gillan's... also manic energy and you've got dynamite.
Chaotic is not the same as ''unhinged'' and you can't feel his ''energy'' anyway...
@yevgeniyaleshchenko849 lady it's like a vibe and stuff can you pls CHILL out
I met him at LA Comic Con this last year. He’s such a sweetheart.
I was at the one where two people were cos playing as the silence and he did the " oh my God it's the silence" double take
He's the first to say someone is a legend but so is he. He's my Doctor and Ive loved him in everything since!
10 minutes video and still not enough. I can listen to this man talking forever
THE DOCTOR WILL SEE YOU NOW
Basically... run.
Anyone whose seen Doctor Who and Morbius knows Matt Smith is good at dancing
"cool is not cool" 🕺🏽🕺🏽🕺🏽
The "drunk giraffe" is a top dance move 😁
he also danced very well on last night in soho :)
@@09rdlso true !! Anya and Matt were amazing !!
I LOVE how much love he still has for Doctor Who. It would be so great to see him return some day, maybe for the 70th?
Matt is so effortlessly cool. I could listen to him all day.
Gosh, he is just gorgeous isn't he? What a stunning man.
I love his voice too, I'd love to listen to him nerding out over film/his favorite projects for hours 😍
@@JR-pf9in Yes it is soo calming
Matt Smith is a class of his own, artistically stable with brilliant harism, an actor of a British school whose graduates, shining in the firmament on the avenue of world cinema stars, give the audience joy and reflection over the characters they create.
Matt Smith was 25 when he first played the Doctor. He inspired me to become an actor when I watched The Eleventh Hour. Now I have 3 years to match him. I need to get to work... 😅
he was 26, so you’ve actually got a whole 4 years, no need to rush it lmao
"I will always remember when the doctor was me."
You gotta make a come back, I can see good vibes with you and the DW today.❤❤❤
I love how much love he is getting in the comments for Doctor Who. I mean, the guy is a legend, has been in the universes of Marvel, Game of Thrones, Royal Family, lots of movies... but at the end of the day, he's still the raggedy man that made me fall in love with a kind alien in a blue box
He is one of those rare, brilliant actors who takes a role and makes it his
He needs to be in a Guy Ritchie movie and give an epic monologue
I demand the Morbius Matt Smith Impro Cut!!
Not aged at all since he was the Doctor, now would be a great time to bring him back as 11 before age starts to show.
IKR HES 41???! LIKE I THOUGHT HE WAS A SOLID 35 NOT 41
I love that he has so much love and respect for his roll as the Doctor. All these years later and he still talks about how much he loved the part and how important it is to him. ❤
"the absolute joy that is claire foy" can they please play together in something again
I have always liked Smith he is a very talented actor and he deserves more recognition for his work. Thought he was outstanding as the 11th Doctor and Prince Phillip really brought both those characters to life and made it believable and interesting and played them both with incredible integrity and honesty fantastic! 😀👍
I will always love Matt Smith. Forever my favourite doctor
"who in the name is john? where have i met a john? i didnt attack john.... i saved him....... john😔..."
Matt Smith is such a legend ☺️❤️
Oh, my! The Doctor will see you now! I love Matt Smith, what a talented bloke!
My favorite Doctor... He was brilliant in portraying how old and tired the Doctor sometimes was even if he was the youngest one so far. He is just brilliant in every role he has played in.
So early you’d think I own a TARDIS
Nah, you're far too on time. If you really came here with a TARDIS you'd be a decade or two late at least.
@@HOTD108_ or a decade or two early
He was my first tv crush as the Doctor and he still is! Just love him and his energy
Him and another Mattew *Baynton* were my first two!!!
What a treat, to find this tonight.
The way he said "Ah, good old Morbius" definitely had a vibe of "Oh Jesus Christ, not that one" 😂😂
I love him he's just so charismatic I look forward to all the future projects he's in
I could watch Matt any day in any role
i love this video to pieces WE NEED MORE OF HIM
God, what an actor. Perfectly cast as the doctor, and perfectly cast as Daemon Targaryen.
I forget that he's in his 40s now.
10 minutes is too short😭 love him sm❤
Thank you for this interview!!!
I love how with the first Doctor Who line, he guesses first that it's to Amy Pond, and then "River Song - Alex Kingston." The Time of Angels/Flesh and Stone was the first story Matt and Karen filmed for the show, and Alex took them under her wing during that time. He's been very sentimental (and kind of possessive) about her ever since, to the point where he asked Steven Moffat not to write any more stories for River after his time as the Doctor was over (hence Peter Capaldi only got one story with her two seasons later).
Wait, is that real? I'd always wondered why River didn't show up much later. That's wild
@@gokaisilver3801yes it’s real, he admitted it in a panel, he said pls don’t give him my wife.
@@VictorianEvening that's amazing. I love that so much
He actually asked them not to kill river off
No wonder Matt and Alex had such good chemistry. She's 20 years his senior but due to Matt's ability to seem like an old man in a young body, there were times where he seemed like the older of the two of them, so they balanced each other out.
Not Matt mentioning Ewan ❤❤❤
I swear he is charm personified. Also as a big Dr.Who fan I love how much he seems to have loved playing the Doctor
Matt Smith is my favorite Doctor Who, the best Doctor. He was absolutely magic, smart, and funny. Loved every minute of it. And Karen Gillan was amazing, too.
I came here for the 11th doctor nostalgia and it is so good to watch the whole thing. Forever series 5
Matt smith.. such a good actor so talented.. everything he does is beautiful and good.. love him.. he has such a magnetic personality and the way he carries himself.. i fall inlove with him all over again everytime i see him!❤ what a man...
He’s a gorgeous human being! 11 will always mean the world to me 💙💙
Matt trying to remember the 'John' like from Terminator was almost like a scene out of doctor who, with 11 trying to piece together a puzzle. He reminded me a lot of 11 😅
The first thing I ever saw Matt Smith in was the 2007 TV series, Party Animals.
I loved him in that - so baby faced, so adorable
Matt Smith is brilliant and i can't believe he'll be 42 this year!
That’s hilarious to know he legit tried fish fingers and custard. Though he’s probably not alone.
Ironically I think the fish fingers in that episode were actually some kind of coconut cake!
@@ryuusei1907 That's good I remember feeling bad for him, because if you know anything about movie production eating scenes are the worst. Can't remember which actor it was but he figured 2-3 takes, his character was supposed to be hungry and love what was served so he decided to take a huge chunk in the first take, and had to do it 14 times.
@@dcworld4349 I believe you're thinking of Tom Hiddleston
I’ve loved this man for so long.
matt loving fish fingers and custard is EVERYTHINGGG 😭😭
The way I was yelling at the screen, especially during the first one! Haha I love all his roles so much 💗
i met him when i was younger, and he was incredibly nice!
Great interview
matt smith is an amazing actor and a genuinely nice person glad to have to opportunity to have a beer with him
Matt Smith on my feed ❤ omg !!
He's just brilliant, isn't he?
So charismatic in everything he does. And effortlessly cool in interviews
My favourite new series Doctor. A lovely interview too, his Eleventh Doctor is definitely showing in this! 😁
He's just legendary. He WAS the Doctor.. and is equally brilliant as Daemon.
One of my favorite actors! ❤
he always seems to love what he does and have fun with whatever he is doing
Matt really has played some truly iconic roles ❤
Oh I love you Matt!!
swear that man never ages!!!!
I think his time in Terminator Genisys was really underrated, he was able to capture the robotic evil of the character while also giving it a human form. I don't think many others could have done it better
He looks so young and so old at once, impressive 😎
Yayyyy Matt!!
"I will always remember when the doctor was me"... of the modern era we've only seen David Tennant return as the 10th and 14th doctors, one day I hope we see Matt return as the eleventh doctor/future doctor.
LOL. “To Amy Pond…to River Song…to an alien!” 😂
Matt Smith and I are the same age, born the same year on the same month. I've always enjoyed watching him.
I just love Matt Smith specially as Daemon and Philippe... Princes suit him perfectly
I was kind of hoping for more The Crown Prince Philip lines. But it was fun to watch hik remembering the lines from Doctor Who. He has such a good charisma. I need to watch his Doctor Who. The only thing I watched with Matt was the Crown so I have to catch up movies with him and shows.
I love this man with all 2 of my hearts
I love him so much. Best Doctor ever!
Love him so much.
So good hearing him eay doctor who quotes, exactly the same
INVITE HIM TOGETHER CLAIRE FOY!!❤
Can’t wait for Matt Smith.
His confidence ♥️😍
The older I get, the more I miss Matt as the Doctor. And that's nothing to do with how the show has gone since he left.
OK, slightly, but still. I just wish I'd appreciated him more while he was still in the role.
I would like to see the Richard the 3rd take from Morbius.
Matt teasing Aemond scenes 🎉🎉
hes amazing!
Matt has had so many amazing roles, for me he was THE Doctor, he recently said he'd love to come back as the master which would be an INCREDIBLE moment for the show as a trick master
First time I've heard Matt drop an F-bomb.
I so want to meet Matt Smith. So badly
Same, he was my Doctor when I was 9 and he regenerated when I was 13. I watch DW for the first time when he turned up.
@@marionbaggins same Matt Smith is the reason I got into doctor who
God, I love this man❤❤❤
my favourite doctor and i will never forget when the doctor was him
I was kinda hoping that for the dancing part they'd have played a clip of him as the Doctor at Amy and Rory's wedding,
This legend
always know someone is a class act when they have positive, respectful things to say about their peers every time they mention them
i love how special doctor who is to him just like it is to the fans
his reaction to morbious is great
