I am from California (Wilshire), two years living in Uruguay, I can tell you that there is much better quality of life here, there are some buildings at a good price that are being built "Montevideo Harbour", you can see them on yt. Tell me anything, I can give you my experience here, it is a very beautiful country, wild nature, very delicious food, beautiful beaches in Rocha.

My teenage son and I will travel from NYC to Buenos Aires for 9 days and then to Montevideo for a day. How safe did you feel in both of those cities? Is it easy to exchange money in Montevideo ?
How exciting! I personally felt very safe in both Buenos Aires and Montevideo, and exchanging money in Uruguay was no problem.
